This was a great ride with some stops on our way out to the country. Our guide Skip was informative and very upbeat and pleasant. The village we road through was beautiful. The cheese we had at the farm was delicious! I'm a fairly seasoned bicyclist and would not recommend this tour to someone who hadn't been on a bike recently. It was a great way to get out and see the outskirts of Amsterdam.

Sipko our guide was extremely friendly, spoke English well, gave a clear directions, and ensured our safety. He showed interest in where we are from, Canada. He was well versed in Amsterdam and area history. Time very well spent in the countryside, that you normally wouldn’t when visiting the area. The Apple Pie stop was also a highlight.

Excellent tour - exceeded expectations

We were in a van with 8 people which was great. Loved the small group. Our driver/guide, Kenny, was fantastic. He got us into the gardens before the big crowds, lead us around the windmills and was very good at avoiding congested areas. The gardens are absolutely over the top - -exceeded expectations. The town of Zaan was quite interesting, but more of a tourist stop. The cheese place was definitely a shopping opportunity. We thoroughly enjoyed the demonstration on making the wooden shoes (clogs). Overall this was an excellent tour and well worth the $$.

Our guide David has created a unique experience for his walking tour. Rather than focus on old buildings and churches, he emphasizes what it is like to live in the Netherlands and what it is like to be Dutch. You might visit the Van Stapele cookie store that has become wildly successful by keeping it simple and doing only one thing, but doing it very well. You may also visit the Het Begijnhof, a historic home for elderly women, exemplifying how the Dutch look after one another. This tour was a truly great experience and David has clearly put a great deal of thought into making it unique and informative.

Great tour - worth the money!

Lucas was our skipper and he was excellent!! He gave us great insight into the city & its history. He was really friendly & easy to chat with, but also gave us privacy to take in the sights & talk amongst ourselves. The boat was very clean and Lucas was a great driver, we felt very safe the entire time! Refreshments on board (Cava & Beer) were great. Boat location was easy to find.

We arrived at our meeting point a little early, but our guide, Birgitte, was already there. She greeted us with a friendly smile and explained the details of our tour. Once inside, Birgitte, led us on a journey about the artist and the man, Vincent Van Gogh. Her education in art history and her in depth knowledge of Van Gogh was incredible and we learned many things about him we had not known before. Overall, a great tour and perspective about Van Gogh that is well worth your time and money
