Great tour with Blanca and Mo! Cenotes and bus ride were very nice. My husband and I had a good time.

    Great half day tour

Great combination of Tulum ruins and cenotes. Cenotes were both awesome - a must-do as a break from the resorts.

    Poor Communication

    Catherine_I, Feb 2026
Please do not rely on email notifications from Viator for confirmation of date and time of your tour. Three friends and I attempted to join this tour and arrived at the specified pick up location 30 minutes early based on details confirmed by email message two days before the scheduled tour. When the van didn’t arrive 30 minutes after the designated pick up time, I began calling Viator and found that the pick up time had been changed to 2 1/2 hours later than originally scheduled. Since we had already waited an hour and a half for the van to arrive my friends were not willing to wait another hour and a half for pick up. I requested a refund but it was denied based on the fact that I did not provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation. Not sure how I could’ve canceled when we were standing waiting for the van for an hour and a half so this should not be considered a voluntary cancellation. I have scheduled with Viator when traveling in Europe, the US and Mexico but will not be traveling through via tour company agail.

I would definitely recommend packing the following: an insulated water bottle, waterproof phone pouch, a snack, and cash. The tour was amazing and well organized, I highly recommend!

    You will have a walking...

You will have a walking tour of Tulum and then swimming in cenotes. Food is not provided but there are a couple restaurants made available to you. No food or drink can be taken into the parks. So plan ahead and bring reusable water bottles and snacks if you are a person who has to eat more often and eat in the bus. Overall the walking is easy and on uneven ground. August is very hot so be prepared with a set of dry clothes to change to after the swimming. Enjoyed the packing and the trip! Well organized and appropriate amounts of time at the sites.

It’s great to hear you enjoyed the walking tour of Tulum and the swimming in the cenotes. Your tips about bringing reusable water bottles and snacks, as well as packing a change of dry clothes for the hot August weather, are really helpful for future travelers. We’re also glad the trip was well organized and that the timing at each site felt just right. Hope you had an amazing experience overall, and thanks again for your thoughtful review!

Waste of our last day in Tulum

    Jan_K, May 2025
Honestly, it was boring. Our guide, I think his name was Angel, was knowledgeable but he was so monotoned and long winded. I’ve been to the ruins before, our past guide made the tour fun. It was extremely hot and uncomfortable and he kept going on and on and on. Very hard to stay focused. The ticket process was annoying as well, I felt like we’re all a group of kindergartners. Too many people in our group as well. It was kind of a wasted last day of our vacation. .

    Response from Host, Jun 2025

We're truly sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. We understand how important it is for a guide to be engaging, especially in challenging weather conditions like the heat you described. We’ll be sure to pass along your comments to our team so we can continue improving both the quality of the guiding and the organization of the tour, including the ticketing process and group sizes. Your input is very valuable to us, and we hope you'll give us another chance in the future to provide you with the memorable and enjoyable experience that so many of our guests have. Safe travels and thank you again for your honesty.
