- Photos are included and free of charge. We also give guidance on taking northern lights photos.

Klara was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable, fun to talk to on the long drive. Extremely committed to finding the lights. Stayed later than all the other groups and ended up seeing an extremely impressive aurora (by the far the best of the night). Highly recommend this company. By far the best experience from our trip.

Good guide, it’s worth paying a little extra to book with a tour like this that supplies the warm gear and a PROFESSIONAL photographer (vs some guy with a camera). But the weather was impossible and we saw absolutely nothing. He tried, he really tried.

It was a delightful evening. Our guide Klara did a fantastic job setting expectations while still being optimistic and diligent about finding an opening in the cloudy sky. She found the perfect spot and we enjoyed hours below a perfect halo of clear skies where we were treated to some spectacular aurora. My phone camera is old, and doesn’t have night mode, (I highly recommend having a good phone or camera that lets you take long exposure photos) but luckily Klara took some great photos that we were able to download the next day. Don’t forget to bundle up! It gets cold.
Additional shout out to the driver, the ride was smooth even though the roads were slippery and dark. Overall a great experience!

Our family had an awesome night and so blessed to have Ferenc as our guide. We are thankful that despite the weather, we had a glimpse of the Aurora. Truly a magical experience and grateful to witness it with family.
Everything was perfect, except for the weather, from the size of the tour to the delicious reindeer stew (which we bought a lot by the way) and the hot chocolate. Yes we were not able to do the bonfire but there is always a next time (hopefully).
Thanks again and you have made our Norway trip a memorable one.

Really well organised and very knowledgeable guide who was also a professional photographer! Ferenc really knew his stuff and understood the weather conditions and where we needed to be. We saw the Aurora multiple times and the photos take were exceptional.
The food and drinks we also really warming, tasty and filling!
All in all it was amazing!

Our guide, Ferenc, and driver, Svein, were terrific. They made sure we were comfortable and prepared for the cold. We initially had clouds, but they cleared and we had a wonderful show of northern lights. Ferenc did a wonderful job of explaining the northern lights and Svein was always cheerful when I asked to be let in the van to warm up a bit (which was often). They took us to a place that had no one else there, so it felt a bit more private and special. Excellent tour!

This was definitely one of the best and most enjoyable activities we did in Tromsø. We spent the evening with our guide and a small group on a “clear-sky hunt” 😉 — and the patience was absolutely worth it. We were rewarded with a beautiful aurora show. Along the way, we learned about the phenomenon, got great tips on how to take photos, and enjoyed hot drinks and a warm dinner by the fireplace.

This was a well organised trip and we were extremely lucky on our particular night. I'm very thankful that I went on a tour that emphasised finding the best location for the lights as well as providing snow suits, boots, hot drinks and hot food. We went down to a snowy fjord and got a great night because it was very clear and the lights were visible for multiple hours. Klara our guide took plenty of photos of us and was extremely friendly and accommodating. Not only that, but while we were on the way back, Klara asked the driver to pull in at another location and we got another incredible view of the lights where we saw green, pink and the lights were dancing in the sky. This made it an even better experience and it was very well spotted by Klara. It was also great to sit around a fire on the fjord and chat to our guide about life in Norway.

The guide Ferenc and the driver were super friendly, talked a good amount about the itinerary and about the auroras (the right amount, happy about that haha). And we were so lucky to see them, had dinner outside under the lights. It was beautiful. The group was small, less than 10. So very comfortable. They provide winter suits, boots and dinner and snacks. They can also help you set up your tripod and cameras.

Great tour, great guide. Bring your patience. It took some time for the Aurora to appear after we’d settled in, but it was worth the wait. Lots of time outside so dress warmly. You’ll put the Arctic suit over all your clothes, including your jacket so better not to wear one that’s past your waist.

It was an incredible experience. Our guide, Klara, was friendly and knowledgeable, and she and her team helped make the cold much easier to endure. She led us to an amazing show of the aurora that we would not have been able to access on our own. Well worth it if visiting Tromso!

Wow, wow, wow! From our guide Paulina to the experience itself, this was a tour of a lifetime. We chased the lights, learned a bit about them, camped out with a fire on a frozen beach by the arctic, and on top of it all, it was a clear night with shooting stars!!! If there is one thing you do when you visit Tromso, it’s this.

It took a little patience and just as I thought the weather would never clear, the clouds go and Mother Nature appears! The guides were all lovely and you have to trust that they know what they are doing. My northern lights app was not optimistic at all, but these guides are very experienced. We went to near the Sweden boarder, parked by the side of the road, lit a fire and waited for nearly 3 hours, but it was worth the wait. The suits were super warm, the food (is rehydrated) was hot (don’t expect cordon bleu), warm drinks plentiful and the guides had a lot of knowledge to share. Amazing experience!

The staff is amazing! They do everything they can to find the lights. Our night was very low likelihood of seeing lights and we ended up seeing the best lights! They fed us an amazing dinner of reindeer stew (there were other choices, all freeze dried meals). It was a fantastic night! 10/10 recommend!!

Absolutely amazing, better than we could have imagined! It was cloudy and raining/snowing in Tromso, but Franz found us clear skies at our driver Shelty’s (sorry if I am spelling incorrectly) property! They took beautiful photos, gave us a great meal, made a fire, had hot juice or chocolate to drink. It was such an incredible experience and we are so grateful to the whole team for an absolutely incredible and unforgettable experience!!!

I must say our experience was simply fantastic!! Specifically our guide Ference and the driver ( apologies I can't remember his name) they both were awesome. Ference made the trip interesting and he was confident, knowledgeable and took us to right place at the right time to see and experience the Northern lights. We had an amazing trip and were very fortunate to see an amazing light show. Our guide Ferenc was super friendly and as a bonus took some great photos and sent to us a few days later. We had a lovely driver Stein. And the bus was clean and warm. .
There could be an improvement, scrap the freeze dried meal and just have the hot chocolate and something sweet, cake or chocolate bars.

An amazing experience last October! Alex was very knowledgeable, and worked hard to find us a good spot. It was quiet with a small group and was wicked finally getting to see the northern lights. But even if we hadn't of seen them the stars were mesmerising.

Our tour was cancelled supposedly due to weather. However, our ship stayed in port the entire night, and there was no problem with the weather. This tour advertises that they will drive towards the lights to find them, however not if they don’t even try. The tours that were booked through the ship, for the exact same thing, all managed to be completed, AND they did see the Northern Lights. The four of us are greatly disappointed and would think twice about leaving such an important excursion up to them. Very very sad!

We do only cancel if our drivers and guides find it absolutely necessary. The driving conditions yesterday and the past few days have been very uncertain with slippery roads and strong winds. Due to this we decided to cancel for satety reasons.

Fantastic experience. Have been on other northern lights trips in Iceland but don’t come close to this. Small group, provided with warm over suits and moon boots. Camp fire, meal, hot chocolate and a lovely driver and guide provided. Would definitely recommend. Lights were awesome too!! Thanks Klara and Gro

Amazing experience chasing Northern Lights with Artic Adventure Tours.
Thanks for all, Alex and his boss the driver. They cared us as if we were their family, giving gear to resist low temperatures and feeding us with reindeer stew and couscous.That night will remain in our minds forever.

Frenec was a great guide and our driver was really on top of everything! We had a cloudy night and were very worried we wouldn't get to see anything, but the team put in a lot of work to ensure we were in the right spot and saw the lights! I wouldn't recommend the food, but that was a minimum bump in an otherwise fun evening!! The suits are a MUST, and it was great they provided them and boots.

We had a great experience. Klara, our guide, was very kind and knowledgeable and together with our bus driver we had an awesome team.
From the pickup to the food, the experience was flawless! We were provided with everything from warm suites to gloves and boots and there was even a lactose- & gluten-free meal option, although it was a bit spicy. Klara made us a nice campfire, told us a little more about the phenomenon and took great pictures that she sent to us 2 days later.
Of course there was a little bit of luck involved but the team seemed very experienced, professional and super enthusiastic, maximizing the chances to see the Northern Lights. I can definitely recommend this tour!
