What an awesome experience! George was a fantastic guide. We thought we wouldn't see the lights because it was a cloudy and rainy day and night. George was relentless in finding the right spot and did he ever. We drove for a few hours with it raining but he spotted a break in the clouds which ended up being an unbelievable display of lights, even seeing red. We got fantastic pictures and would definitely recommend this excursion!

Great experience until I realized that the picture files are not given to you after the tour. You can only access compressed versions unless you pay an exorbitant amount. Around $25 for one picture file.
You pay a lot of money and then they ask for even more money for the pictures. Really disappointing.
Superb evening spent with George to see the Lights, which despite the very snowy day in Tromso, we did !!
George was very friendly and knowledgable, and we drove out to secluded spots best placed to watch the show.
Most importantly, George’s trip departs early to as to beat the multitude of tour vans all heading the same way !
We saw the Lights! The most amazing night ever! Nature gave us the show of a lifetime. Peter was our guide and I would definitely go on another adventure with him. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and passionate about the northern lights. Small group is the way to go and Peter will work his magic and help you experience the lights as we did.
Our leader George was determined to give us good opportunities to see the lights. He assessed weather conditions ongoingly, traveling to a spot with the clearest skues. He was knowledgeable and personable. In addition to explaining the lights, George happily addressed questions. He was responsive to individual participants’ needs. Refreshments included hot drinks, a delicious homemade lentil soup, bread, and cookies. At the end of the trip, he took each of us to our lodging. Not to be forgotten, George photographed lights throughout our trip and will send his photos in a day or two.
This was a totally satisfying trip. George was excellent in all respects.
It was a great experience. It was a tough night to see the lights and George took us into Finland where we were able to see the lights!
My wife and I had an unforgettable aurora hunting experience, and it was truly special thanks to our guide, George. On that night in Tromsø, it was snowing heavily, which made the conditions more challenging. Because of this, we traveled many kilometers, driving late into the night and even crossing into Finland, until we finally found the perfect spot — at exactly the right moment — to see the northern lights.
George’s dedication and persistence made all the difference, and seeing the aurora after such an effort was incredibly rewarding. The vehicle was very comfortable, and the warm soup and hot chocolate were wonderful touches during such a long and cold night.
We truly appreciate George’s professionalism and commitment. Highly recommended — a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us as a couple.
Our guide Peter is the most enthusiastic,determined and obsessed with his work guides I’ve ever met ( and we have been on plenty of tours ).He’s a “fanatic” in the most positive sense,and even if we hadn’t seen the Polar lights,he was shining for us from within.But we did!
We were witnesses to one of the most fascinating miracles of Nature,words and photos will never describe it.We saw them at 3 different locations,and for the 3d one Peter woke us up after 2 am when we were taking a nap in the minibus :) Some other guide would have gone home to bed,but not Peter. He took our photos,he showed no signs of fatigue,he shared some very interesting info on Norway.Now we want to come back in the fall.

George was really professional and friendly and made great effort to ensure we had a super aurora experience. We witnessed a spectacular lights' display and then enjoyed his delicious soup and cookies around the cosy campfire, whilst he regaled us with the legends and the science around the aurora. We were lucky enough to see the lights relatively early in the evening and so all agreed when we ready to head back to the city. It was a memorable evening.

We did our excursion with George, who was fantastic. Because of his knowledge & experience we were able to find a suitable spot on a very cloudy evening & witness the magic in the sky. George was very well prepared and not only took photos of our group with the lights, but also provided us with hot drinks, hot soup, cookies and a stool to sit on around the fire. Such a fantastic experience!
Our Northern Lights adventure with George was absolutely incredible! From the start, he went out of his way to make it special - even offering to take us a day early when the skies didn’t look promising. He skillfully guided us through breathtaking spots like Balsfjord and Signaldalen, patiently chasing clear skies until we were rewarded with mesmerizing auroras. George was set up to take beautiful photos of us and the auroras and made the most delicious soup for our journey! After cleaning up our campfire we made our way back into town. Just when we thought the night couldn’t get better, the sky lit up with the brightest display on our way back… pure magic! George’s passion, knowledge, and dedication made this an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tromsø!
We saw the most amazing display of aurora borealis imaginable. Even though we had really clear weather, György - our guide - took the time to drive us more toward the mainland for even clearer skies and a better experience. He was kind, cool and explained a lot about all kinds of aspects of the northern lights, he is very knowledgable. He took some amazing photos too! Unforgettable experience, it was perfect!
Even though we cancelled George was willing to drive several hours away to Finland for a slim chance at catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights. He was honest and willing to give us a refund. If I had more days I would have booked with him again.
George was an amazing guide who really knows the area and uses data to find the best place and time to see the aurora. He took some amazing photos and sent them to us as well. Incredible experience.
On Sunday, February 2, 2024, my wife and I were extremely pleased to be part of a small group tour to experience and see the majestic Northern Lights. We were extremely pleased with our tour guide George. He took us to one of the fjords, just outside of Tromso, Norway, where we saw the beautiful Northern Lights. George is very knowledgeable of the science behind the formation of the Northern Lights and he's an excellent Photographer as well. Within a couple of days of our tour, we received a link to the many photos that George took. The photos were just fantastic! I highly recommend this tour and give it a rating of Five Stars++++.
Gyorgy the guide was absolutely fantastic!!! He is very knowledgeable about the northern lights including science, culture, and myths. He personalized the experience. Very attentive to details to make it a great experience. The soup he served was delicious!! Highly recommend!!!!

The lights were beautiful and the guide very knowledgeable. I would recommand it a thousand times.
It's possible that the lights aren't there, though. But it would nothing to do with the provider. Just nature.
It was awesome. George has been such a lovely Person, doing his best to find the northern lights even if the conditions were really really bad. He finally managed to find Northern lights and it was breathtaking. He took so many lovely pictures and was really helpful with everything. We also got to know some more background stories about the different cultural meaning of the northern lights which was awesome to hear. Also the food was delicious and self made.
I really appreciate the passion and effort he put into the tour. Thank you so much for giving me some one in a lifetime experience. 100/10 recommended! 😊
We had a great/incredible/educational experience with George. Eventhough it is a small company out of Tromso, the attention to detail, passion and interest in making his guests comfortable was amazing.
Eventhough we had a difficult night ahead of us, due to clouds and some storms, in the area, George was well prepared with proactive research and knowledge of the area, that it turn out to be the best northern lights experience we had in Tromso.
We highly recommend George and Boreal Quest. Great company and great service.

Amazing experience! We were lucky enough to book the day before, get away from the clouds, and catch some amazing lights.We got to watch the lights dance for a little over an hour. George was very attentive to the group - helping us take photos and adjust camera settings, and checking to ensure everyone was warm. The lentil soup was one of the best I’ve had as well! Getting the pics he took for free (with a watermark) was also well worth it.
We had a wonderful tour with our driver, George he was very prepared and organized, had warmers for our feet for our hands. He made a wonderful soup and wonderful hot drinks. We had an amazing time he was the best tour guide..
