This was a perfect activty for my short trip to Toronto. Informative enough to give me a taste of the city without taking up a whole day. Organized and easy to follow the map. I really liked the cruise and appreciated they had a guide walk us to the harbor.

Toronto Hop On Hop Off with Harbour Tour

We went on the tour on Aug 5/26. The first guide we got talked too fast and lots of static. We couldn’t understand a lot of what he was saying. We asked that he speak clearer and slower but he didn’t. We got off that bus and the next time we got on another bus the guide was a lot better. We learned some interesting things about Toronto. We also did the harbour tour package which we liked a lot.

We love doing HOHO tours....

We love doing HOHO tours. The Toronto tour gave us an idea of what we wanted to go back to. The Toronto subway was super easy to navigate as well. Thank to our travel agent Macy for the recommendation!

The Hop On Hop Off is a great way to see points of interest so you can decide where you might want to spend some time. Our bus guide was good but he missed the opportunity to add more stories about many of the places we visited (example: he could have given more colour around the Bata Shoe Museum - lots of backstory there but he didn’t talk about any of it). The harbour cruise was great and the guide on this portion was very good. He did give lots of details around the islands, the buildings, and nature local to the islands. I would highly recommend this tour. The bus takes two hours if you stay on and the cruise takes about 45 minutes. Great way to see the city.

First Time in Toronto

Great way to see the top sights and various neighborhoods around Toronto especially for a first visit. Great narratives of all areas and stops at popular attractions. The busses ran consistently and we never waited too long for one to come by. We arrived by GO train, and there was a stop just a block away for us to board. The added boat cruise was well worth it. The views of the city were spectacular.

It was a good overview of Toronto. We had 90+ temperatures so the top was good while moving but uncomfortable stopped. The buses go 1 direction. Th cruise was very pleasant and much cooler.

Go early if wanting to sight see at all stops. The timing is very good between buses makes it easy to hop back on when finished with the stop.

Worst tour and made us wait 2 hours a on stop. When they lotus up they said it was due to traffic. Which was not correct and then ended our trip. Basically told us to contact the supervisor that’s all that could do. So I contact Viator and the two of us. Nobody called a contacted us at all very disappointed.

Unfortunately, on the day of your visit, traffic around the downtown core was impacted by the Blue Jays game, which did cause some route delays (although nothing like what you reference in your review!). Our team did their best to keep buses running and guests informed, but we completely understand how frustrating any wait can be. While we cannot speak for the communication from Viator directly, we were in contact with you and processed a 50% refund was processed as a goodwill gesture, prior to your review. We would advise for any future bookings that if you are redeeming your voucher later in the day and you only a few hours to see everything rather than use the full 24 hour validity, talk to the agents on site about the best way to do this and they can help advise on the best way or order to do things. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know what happened and will continue working to minimize delays and improve communication during high-traffic events.

Tour was great - Poorly marked Pick Up/Drop Points

Our tour guide Lucy was great. It was surprising to have an Australian (accented) guide in Toronto though. We had great difficulty finding the starting point nearest us. We purchased onine and did not have the map. Online support told us Harbour Centre which was a few mins where we were but we couldn't find it at all. We walked from there to Front St and only found it because the bus was stopped at that point. As we looked for signage at each of the locations, many were covered by the hanging plants and some we couldn't find at all. Very poorly marked. The tour itself was great. We went on a Saturday and there was typical traffic, but not too bad. I can't imagine taking this tour with busier traffic. I do wish she was able to talk more about the architectural differences within the city, but she covered as much as she could before moving to the next point of interest. Would suggest that they provide guidance to people exiting the bus as to where to go for that specific attraction, as some were around the corner, or up the street - people looked confused when they got off. Having attraction tickets available on the bus is convenient. Overall, a decent tour. We live/work in/around Toronto and had never done this tour in our own city. You ALWAYS learn something!
