When booking online you need to obtain your ticket at the starting point for trip. Bus stop 1 on route. The expected sign City Sightseeing Tour was not visible, instead it was something like tourist info. I completely bypassed it only to walk around what is at the moment a construction site (half of the section was blocked) to go there for info and see that is where I should have started.
The staff member was excellent, friendly in a professional manner. Team on board explaining sights as we went around the city was great. Being able to manage travellers who hadn’t pre-booked making sure everyone was attended to and giving advice if you wanted info at times along the route.

We waited 45 minutes for a hop-on bus, and finally arranged a Uber ride to the Harbourfront so we wouldn’t miss the harbor cruise. Not an effective use of time. I appreciate there is horrific traffic in Toronto. They either need more buses, or provide a more realistic amount of time between buses

We're sorry you experienced such a long wait. Our frequency with the number of vehicles on tour (6) was every 20 minutes so while traffic can impact the schedule at times, 45 minutes is certainly over the threshold of what would be expected and we will share this with our operations team to look into further.
The only reason it get the stars is because of the guide both on the bus and on the boat. The driver's were rude. The company out right lied to us when after waiting at a stop for over an hour I called customer service. They said we had missed the bus 10 mins earlier because we were in the wrong location (we were where we had be dropped). We walked to where were were told to go and then the bus showed up where were had been originally. The guide said that there was no other bus at that point due to traffic.
I have done a few of these tours in different cities. This is by far the worst

Times for first pickup of day at each stop would be helpful. Why not have several busses start at several spots on route. We waited over an hour for a bus. Guides were all good but hard to hear as sound systems were not working.

Times for the first bus arriving at each stop are visible on our website at https://citysightseeingtoronto.com/schedule/. We don't have several buses starting at the same time at several locations due to the fact that the earliest buses of the day are typically pretty quiet. We appreciate your feedback regarding the sound system and will share with our maintenance team.
The hop on/hop off is an excellent way to see the highlights of what Toronto has to offer and to learn a bit of history. My rating of “average” is because both my husband and I (Canadians) felt the commentary put Toronto in almost a negative light. The Canadian government’s attempt to control cannabis sales are useless, Toronto Fire Department were portrayed as incompetent, the Heritage Building rules archaic and “dumb”. The audio equipment faded in and out. I’ve been on many hop on/hop off tours in many different cities. As a Canadian, I felt a bit offended by the guide’s portrayal and the quality of the presentation sub par. I do recommend the tour as a way to see a lot of downtown Toronto but be ready to do a bit of fact checking.

Great way to travel around Toronto’s important landmarks.We had a 48 hr ticket so on the first day we just went around and then on the following day we got off at 3-4 points which interested us the most,catching the next bus at tha same spot.The buses were coming every 15-20 min so we could make the full use of our ticket.We had the island cruise included in our ticket which also had a guide giving us information.We had “Mashaal “as our narrator on the bus who was very good and the boat guide was Surjeet who was very good too.

We really enjoyed it. Our first tour guide was Darwin and he did an excellent job. The only complaint I have is that they sold us tickets on the bus for the CN Tower that ended up being more expensive than the ones we could have bought at the tower. It was only $2, but it was supposed to be discounted.

Hi Chris. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Our adult CN Tower tickets are $49.50 including tax. As is typical, the CN Tower displays their admission prices on their signage on site at the before tax price which is $47.00 but including tax, their adult ticket price on site is $53.11 - Is it possible this may have been the reason it seemed like it may be cheaper to purchase there? If not, please do reach out to info@citysightseeingtoronto.com as you are correct, our attraction tickets are supposed to be discounted.

Visited all the touristic areas and the boat ride was great fun

Not a good thing to do when there is a Jays game or Fanfest at Convention Centre. Very difficult for buses to get around hence long waits if you get off. No narrative about some spots of interest..ie.. U of T. Boat cruise was great

First part of the tour was excellent. The tour guide’s microphone quit working and we switched to a prerecorded talk. It was alright but was not synched with our immediate locations. Got off for the water tour, but had trouble finding the bus pickup spot after the water tour. That’s my problem. Finished the tour in the lower area. Not as good, but my choice.

This is by far the BEST way to get to know the highlights of Toronto. Our hop on-hop off bus ride was both very informative (in a fun way) and very entertaining all at the same time. We sat on the top (highly recommended to be able to see more and hear the guide better).We have done many of these HOHO tours in various cities around the world, and we always just stay on the bus for the entire tour to hear all of the highlights, then we go back to our preferred areas of interest. We thoroughly loved our guide LIAM L. He was extremely knowledgeable and a dry standup comedian at the same time! We kinda felt like we weee getting two shows in one! Don’t think twice- just do this tour!!!

The boat narrator was amazing. The narrators on the bus were hit or miss. Some you could not understand what they were saying because they held the microphone too close. I would suggest that the operators of this have a discussion with Liam. I come to Canada at a minimum of 4 times a year to spend my money on their Tourism. I do not come to have a bus narrator make disparaging comments about my president. It is unprofessional and unnecessary. You need to do better.

We went on the tour on Aug 5/26. The first guide we got talked too fast and lots of static. We couldn’t understand a lot of what he was saying. We asked that he speak clearer and slower but he didn’t. We got off that bus and the next time we got on another bus the guide was a lot better. We learned some interesting things about Toronto. We also did the harbour tour package which we liked a lot.

We love doing HOHO tours. The Toronto tour gave us an idea of what we wanted to go back to. The Toronto subway was super easy to navigate as well. Thank to our travel agent Macy for the recommendation!

The Hop On Hop Off is a great way to see points of interest so you can decide where you might want to spend some time. Our bus guide was good but he missed the opportunity to add more stories about many of the places we visited (example: he could have given more colour around the Bata Shoe Museum - lots of backstory there but he didn’t talk about any of it). The harbour cruise was great and the guide on this portion was very good. He did give lots of details around the islands, the buildings, and nature local to the islands. I would highly recommend this tour. The bus takes two hours if you stay on and the cruise takes about 45 minutes. Great way to see the city.

This was a perfect activty for my short trip to Toronto. Informative enough to give me a taste of the city without taking up a whole day. Organized and easy to follow the map. I really liked the cruise and appreciated they had a guide walk us to the harbor.

Great way to see the top sights and various neighborhoods around Toronto especially for a first visit. Great narratives of all areas and stops at popular attractions. The busses ran consistently and we never waited too long for one to come by. We arrived by GO train, and there was a stop just a block away for us to board. The added boat cruise was well worth it. The views of the city were spectacular.

A great way to see the city particularly if you are short on time or looking for tips on other fun things to do. The commentary was fun and informative. The boat tour was also fun and it was great to see the city from a different perspective.
