A very informative tour of the internal part of Terceira! The Gruta Do Natal (Christmas Cave) was a must see. The waves at the natural pools of Biscoitos were amazing! Our tour guide Carlitas was very knowledgeable and friendly! A great way to spend an afternoon!

Wonderful tour of the lava tubes and the interior of a volcano in the middle of the island.
André was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, sincere and respectful. He sent a message ahead of time to let me know the pickup time which was a great help.
Comfortable van. I will go again with this company.

While the weather did not cooperate, we still had a fun tour of lava tube and volcano. The weather meant we skipped the fumarole, but James gave us some extra time at Quinta dos Azores - for coffee and a snack
Also we had delightful stop at the duck lagoon. Very peaceful.

I didnt want to hire a car to visit the central part of Terceira, so booked the half day van trip at the last minute. Easy pick up and great commentary from Andrea about the island. Visited four sites, each beautiful in its own way. Met all my expectations.

Emelia was a wonderful tour guide and showed us some really beautiful places in the mountains around the island. Algar do Covao was a highlight, and I recommend folks use this company to get around and see some natural and geologic landmarks on Terceira.

Had a jolly half day out with James our bus captain. He was full of information and knowledgable about the island and archipelago, including the flora and fauna. I enjoyed the gruta do Natal, I banged my head more times than when I saw Motorhead. All good fun, the highlight for me was being inside the volcano monument looking up to the sky.
Fascinating stuff, especially if you are into the natural world like I am. Highly recommended if on Terceira. Tip, wear some decent approach shoes/boots with ankle support.

The Undeground Van Tour was very good overall. We stopped at 4 different locations on the tour. We especially enjoyed the stops at the lava tube and the sights inside the volcano were amazing! Thanks to our tour guide James!

Super guide, (Patricio). Very small group of 4 for us. If you’re interested in volcanos this is great. So you’re prepared, there’s a place where you have to be able to crouch to pass through, and another where water will drip on you. Would wear shoes with tread if possible

The entire Underground Van Tour with Azores Nature Tours was amazing. James was so knowlegable, kind and considerate. Lagoa da Pata or Duck Lake was beautiful and like a fairy-tale setting. However, Algar do Carvão was the highlight for me. Walking around inside one of only two volcanoes in the world that allows visitors was definitely an experience I will never forget! Besides being overwhelmingly huge it was also so magical. The different lava, the moss, the lagoon and the beautiful spaces created a truly breathtaking adventure.
I would highly recommend this tour with Azores Nature Tours when you visit Terceira Island!
