Antonio was our guide through Pro Island Tours. Absolutely amazing afternoon. My cousin and I enjoyed a personalised tour, especially tailored to our needs and interests. We saw things off the beaten track, that not many tourists get to see. Not crowded, beautiful and amazingly interesting. Also taken to an amazing lava tube - could not upload photos, but an astonishing experience. Antonio was a nice, gracious, friendly and knowledgeable host. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Fantastic tour. Guide was very knowledgeable. We were the only two people on the your so was like a vip tour. Visited a cave that is not normally open to the public do got to see an unspoilt cave

Bernardo picked us up promptly from our VRBO and gave us several options on our itinerary as it was raining. We saw things and learned about the island in ways that I would not have learned had we not taken this tour. Disappointed that the highlight cave was closed but we knew that in advance of booking. Highly recommend the tour and Bernardo

It was a wonderful experience on this tour. Our guides Dora and Bernardo were knowledgable, enthusiastic and professional. We had a chance to interact with Dora, who drove the Jeep, is passionate about the island and its culture.
Note that the drive to the caves is in a jeep. If you sit in the back seat, be prepared by a bumpy ride on unpaved roads. Also the lava tube at Biscoitos may be demanding for those with restricted mobility. Other than that, it is great tour.

This tour was great! Our guide, Dora, picked us up at our hotel and then grabbed two other couples from different hotels. We drove about 20 minutes to Gruta do Natal. There we bought tickets for entry to both this cave and Algar do Carvao. In between, we also stopped at Furnas do Enxofre. The landscape is unique and beautiful! Dora explained the various natural sights, and some of the history of how the caves were discovered. She also was a wealth of knowledge of Azorean culture and daily life, telling us about the bull fighting tradition and a traditional stew called Alcatra. Highly recommend!

Our Tour Guide Dora was Wonderful! She was So knowledgeable and took the time to answer our questions. She gave us bonus treat, taking us to Serra do Cume where we saw ‘the quilt’, an Amazing view of the countryside.

The two caves and the sulfur vents were amazing but we’re made even better by our guide Carolina! She is an absolute gem and is very knowledgeable about the area. She’s also very kind and patient and pointed out the edible blueberries that no one knew were there from the other tours because no one was stopping to pick them like we were. I highly recommend using this company for the cave tours because it made it so much more enjoyable, and informative.

I paid 83 dollars for a private tour which wasn’t private at all. When I got picked up there were 4 people in the car and the tour guide opened his truck and told me to sit in there!!!! Then he dropped me off at Bisquittos beach which I asked him but never picked me up.

Wonderful Tour, definitely the highlight of our Trip. Our tour guide was incredible and took her time with us and she even took photos of my family and I (candid shots) that really captured the moment.

Loved this tour. An experience of a lifetime to walk the inside of an extinct volcano. One of only three volcanoes in the world that hasn’t collapsed post eruption and the only one in the world where you’re able to do a walk through. Our guide Antonio was so much fun. It was like going on a trip with a friend! We had a great afternoon and would highly recommend booking this tour. 10/10

We asked for tour in Spanish and were two people, so it was a private tour, so great! It is an entertaining and interesting experience, but Dora did it amazing!! He has great knowledge and tells everything in an exciting way, we had an amazing time, and he speaks super good Spanish! A charmer, he told us curiosities along the way about the island, customs, volcanoes... A total hit!!!
