This was a wonderful trip around the island. My guide GUI was excellent. My wife and I were going to do this together, however she did not feel well so I went alone. I had a personal tour with GUI. He was very informative and we had great conversation. I got a great feel for the island and the history. I really enjoyed the cheese tasting the lunch with many of the local specialties was fantastic. I would highly recommend.

Flavio was a very engaging and informative guide. His knowledge and pride of his home made the tour very enjoyable. The lunch at Ti Choa was incredible. Each serving (and there are many) of traditional home cooked food was delicious and enormous and the setting was warm and welcoming. The cave Algar du Cavao and rock pools at Biscoitos were spectacular. Great trip, highly recommended.

We had a fantastic tour of Terceira island with our with our excellent tour guide Gui. Gui had had a cancellation from another family on the day, so it was just two of us...so we had a personal tour. Gui was friendly and very informative (the history, geology, wildlife, food) He was a great driver. The sites and views where we stopped were amazing, and the lunch of alcatra was delicious. We highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Gui.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Terceira, especially if you only have a limited time to explore the island. My husband and I stopped here on our way to Portugal for our honeymoon and were only in Terceira for 36 hours. Our tour guide, Gui, was amazing and knew the answer to every question we asked. He was so fun and charismatic! We got to see the entire island, plus had an amazing traditional meal for lunch. A lot of this tour is in the car so it is accessible for people with mobility issues. We stopped at the volcanic pools which were amazing, if you have a bathing suit you could take a quick dip but it is less than 30 minutes so we decided not to do that. The cave tour was amazing as well, unfortunately it will be closed for construction soon so we got in just in time! Be prepared for lots of stairs and bring a rain jacket if you don’t like getting dripped on. Overall, it was an amazing day and we hope to return to Terceira again in the future to spend more time there!

This was our first tour visiting Terceira and the Azores overall. We are so happy to have done this tour and Gui is an amazing guide! We got to see such amazing sights and truly get a feel for the beauty of the island, as much as we could in one day. The experience was even more amazing with Gui who was very knowledgeable and made us feel so welcome. We came during low season, so the weather is very unpredictable. Plan accordingly! This tour is a wonderful find and we suggest you don’t think twice and book with Gui!!

Our family of 6 took a wonderful tour of Terceira with our excellent tour guide Gui.
Gui was friendly, funny and very informative and a great driver, which on the very challenging roads on Terceira was important. The sites were incredible and the very quaint water mill turned restaurant where we had lunch was the perfect choice; the alcarta was delicious! I highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Gui!

I had read some really great reviews about this tour prior to booking with AngraTravel and I was not disappointed. Our guide Gui had five of us in total — a couple from Switzerland & a couple from Spain, as well as myself from USA. He easily flowed between Spanish, French & English as he gave out information throughout our day.
I speak a tiny bit of Spanish, so I enjoyed refreshing my memory as I listened in.
I was particularly appreciative that he offered me the front seat as I always have additional questions to ask & as a native Azorean he was full of information.
I only had one full day & two half days to spend in Terceira & I definitely felt booking a full day trip was the way to get a really good introduction.
I really liked the fact that we were a small group & driving in a minivan. We passed some very large buses throughout the day that were carrying a large number of passengers which I definitely would not have enjoyed nearly as much.

But he Is also a great guy with a great sence of humor . The tour was a great way to tour the island. Our guide was Gui. He was knowledgeable and friendly. With a smaller vehicle we were able to see some sights not as accessible with a big bus. We had an incredible lunch at a small restaurant. I would highly recommend doing this tour.

Gui was a great tour guide. Went the extra mile to accommodate everyone on the tour. He kept the schedule flexible and was able to drop off people at airport twice to meet their schedule and still keep to the itinerary of the tour. Having a small group was a great advantage. The full day tour covers all the main attractions of this beautiful island. Highly recommend it.
