Gianni was an incredible tour guide - he drove us to a local, family owned winery and farmland, providing helpful information about the history of wine in Sicily along the way. The owner of the winery personally gave us a tour of his land and discussed his methods. His family and friends were having a party and made us feel very welcome - delicious food, exceptionally good wine, and an overall great time. I would highly recommend this day trip, and tour guide Gianni Grillo in particular. He could not have been friendlier, more helpful, or more accommodating. 5 stars!

The full day wine tour was fantastic with Gianni as our guide. He knew so much about the grapes and the winery. The best guide we have had so far.The wine and food was delectable. Our glasses stayed full and at least 6 courses of food (I lost count). The owners of the winery made us feel so welcome. I can't say enough good things about this day! I would book this tour again in a heartbeat.

Overall it was a great day in Alcamo. It was great to get not only knowledge about the wine but also the culture too. The home cooked meal was delicious as well. Despite the poor weather it was a great experience. Communication could be improved, we arranged for a pickup in Palermo, but was 1.5 hours late due to rain and traffic, but was difficult to get that information. Additionally, we paid for the full day wine tour but only visited with 1 winemaker. We made the most of it and was still worth while.

My wife and I were in Favignana for our honeymoon and booked a half day wine tour with Easy Trapani. We took the ferry and met with Gianni from Easy Trapani at Caffe Staiti since it's right by the ferry. We were expecting a touristy van to come pick us up but we ended up having a private tour alone with Gianni which was great! He drove us to downtown Alcomo where he dropped us off a winery and food store and introduced us to Vincenzo and his wife Liliana who owned the store and winery. Vincenzo then drove us around the Alcomo countryside and finally our first stop was at his Adamo Vineyard where he grew organic grapes and other vegetables. He taught us about the local grapes and tasted them straight from the vine! He then drove us to his cellar where we tasted his Catarratto, Grillo and Nero d'Avalo wines which were amazing! With the wine he served homemade bread baked in an olive wood fired oven, fresh oregano, sheep's milk cheese made by his neighbor and plenty of delicacies. He then gave us a tour of his cellar and showed us machines and tools used to make wine past and present. At the end of the tour we bought 6 bottles and Gianni drove us back to the ferry. This was definitely the most personal and best wine tour I've ever had. I've done wine tours in Oregon, South Africa and Australia and nothing compares to the authenticity of this tour. Easy Trapani may take you to other vineyards but I am only writing about our experience with Adamo. I wish all tours could be something like this!
