Ancient History Comes Alive

This tour is a MUST when visiting Siracusa. It is critical to understanding the ancient Greek and Roman settlements, as well as subsequent cultures that came after them. This area is certainly worthy of being named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

truly great guide...Marco was just the best - so knowledgeable...and when Viator had to cancel our walking tour of Ortega the following day Marco stepped in and that was truly great too...and on the third day Marco took us to Noto - Marco just knows Syracuse and the surrounding area so well...if you are ever in Syracuse you must find Marco!

Marco was charming and knowledgeable. It really is worth having a guide to add colour and detail for a visit to the park. It is much better than having your nose in a book. Marco told stories, legends, battles as well as highlighting flora. I noticed other visitors listening in! The tour lasts 2h.
