Wonderful transfer from Messina into Taormina - worth every penny.
The driver was clear with instructions regarding the pick up time as we left the bus, Taormina was beautiful; we just wish we had more time there!
The bus left at 9:00 as scheduled, back on the bus at 13:00 in Taormina, for the drive back to Messina.

Beautiful ride from Messina to Taormina. Highly recommend visiting Taormina if you have the opportunity. The AC on the bus wasn't the best, but the trip is well worth it.

I was.happy doing this particular transfer because it took me in directly into Taormina and no other stops and was advertised as around a 4 hour stay and then return to your ship which was so much of a longer time than other excursions and companies. But unfortunately, once we arrived they told us that we had around 3 hours and not 4 like all the others? When I only picked this particular excursion for the longer stay in Taormina

The ride was fine, great price, so I would recommend for that. The reason for the deduction in stars is b/c I booked a 10:30 transfer, but the put us on a bus that was leaving....or supposed to leave at 10. They waited for us b/c I proved the time I booked and sent the confirmation. Everyone else on the bus waited for over a 1/2 hr. Not sure where or how the mix up happened. But don't think it's a common issue so would still recommend.

No problems with the transfer, it was on time and gave us enough time to walk around and shop. DIrections were clear and meet point was in an easy to get to location. We would recommend this and would use them again.

Transfer was efficient and a great way to get from the cruise ship into Taormina. Was cheaper than the transfer and excursions offered by the cruise line. Just make sure you clarify which company you are meeting and exactly where, as we had troubles finding the correct company. So many others around the port trying to sell other options.

We were to leave at 10:00am but did not leave till 10:20am. Became very warm on the bus. Did not realize we had to change buses.

Enjoyed Taormina but the bus driver was playing inappropriate Rap music and was vaping while driving. Many people requested the air conditioning be turned on, on the way back to the ship and it was not.

Taormina was a great place to spend a few hours. The tour bus was easy to find, left on time and arrived to allow plenty of time to walk around and explore. It was a hot day and the bus as quite warm on the ride back but it left on time and got us back to our port when they said they would.

Viator had told me on the phone that this was going to be private transportation. We had a group of 12 and I had to purchase in 2 separate transactions and they told me the reason was their vehicles were for up to 6 people. Imagine my surprise when we were transported by a big bus with many people. I was disappointed in receiving incorrect information and by this part of our trip was ready for private transportation. That being said it was low cost transportation to and from Taormina.

The bus ride was comfortable and the bus handlers were professional. The only drawback of this bus trip is the short duration at Taormina. The bus was a bit late leaving. Arriving at Taormina at 11:45am. We had to be back at the meeting point at 2:15. That means we have exactly 2.5 hrs in Taormina. We had time to walk around (a great place) and had a good lunch. But not enough time to get tickets to see the Roman theatre.

Taoromina we loved our very short time in Taoromina, booked transfer that said we’d have 3hrs there but only had 2 and 1/2 hours and waited half an hour on bus for those who chose to take the full 3 hrs as promised. Wouldn’t book a transfer like this again.

The bus was older. Many of the seats were broken. They were stuck in the recline position so you were laying down for the long trip. Needless to say the poor stranger behind you whose legs you were reclining on. There was garbage in the receptacle on each seat back. The air was non existent making the ride very hot! Overall a bad experience. If u want basic transport and don’t care about anything else, then this is for you but otherwise stay away.

Great way to get to Taormina and affordable. They should add an extra hour on the trip do give more time to see the city. I toured the ancient theater and that took up most of my time, which was not much, leaving me with little time to explore the lovely town. I barely got to do any shopping and did not even get a chance to sample any food as there was no time.
I had arrived in Messina via cruise ship so this was the only way I had to the town and when we got back I still had about 2 hours left with nothing to do because there is not much near the port of Messina, especially if you are traveling by yourself as it doesn't appear to be the safest area.
Also, the bus driver stated they would pick us up right where he dropped us off but it was actually in a different spot. It was not for but every one was looking for it in that spot. Had I not taken a picture of the bus right after our drop off I would have missed my way back because I would not known what bus to look for.

This was a transfer only service that worked well and got us back to the cruise on time!
The meeting point is a short walk from the port.
Although the tour we booked said “This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers” we ended up on a much larger bus. It didn’t matter to us as it was comfortable, clean, and efficient.
Taormina, and the Greek Theatre, are not to be missed! Highly recommend this tour as a great way to get there.
