Loved learning about the town from Roberto! He was very knowledgeable. First winery was great, but we didn’t get to see all that much. We didn’t get to see any of the second winery when we had lunch and we didn’t try wines from the winery itself or even mt etna wines… would have loved for it to have been more of a wine tour! Our group was a ton of fun!

Visiting Sicily with family and we can't say enough about our day with Etna People Wine Tours. Roberto C. was so funny, knowledgable and friendly! The tour, tastings and lunch were all fantastic but it was exceptional because of Roberto - we highly recommend both Etna People and Roberto - one of our favorite experiences of our trip!

Disappointing wines and lots of waiting around

As wine lovers we were so excited for this tour and were throughly disappointed. There is no reason for this tour to be 8 hours as we spent a lot of time waiting around. The first stop is up in a little town in the mountains, while the views were stunning we wandered around for over an hour. Our tour guide provided little to no information on the history of the town, or what we were looking at. He was unable to answer questions we had as well. At one point we were all just waiting for him to tell us it was time to leave. When we arrived at the first winery we had to wait about 30 min for another group to arrive. Despite this being labeled as a “small group tour” our first tasting had about 16 people. They did not show us much of the winery, but kept talking up their reserve wines. The tasting did not include any of those wines. We did not get to go into the barrel room or processing rooms. The third and final stop was for lunch. Each course was paired with a different wine tasting. The food at the tasting was pretty bland and not anything special. We received very little information about the wines we were trying or why they paired with the provided food. Luckily, the other people on the tour with us were very friendly and we had a good time talking with them. Overall we were unimpressed with the wines we tried and this tour skews heavily towards white wine. As someone who favors red wine that was disappointing and would have been good information to know before booking. I do not recommend this tour.

The wines were very good, but there was no tour of the vineyard or wine cellar. The opportunity to walk around Castiglione di Sicilia was nice but really needed to have more context. We would have preferred more information about the wines, though.

We had the most amazing time! Tony was such a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable and funny. The tour flowed very well and we were enjoying every minute. Highly recommend!!

Tony was an excellent guide and driver. He is very knowledgeable about the Etna area and its history. The problems with this tour were twofold. Firstly, the rear of the van was uncomfortable as it had no suspension. Secondly, the two vineyards we visited presented their basic wines rather than their best ones. Nobody who knows anything about wine would choose them, and the prices they suggested for bottles were more expensive than you could find in the local supermarkets! In summary, Tony and Etna were wonderful and they both deserve better.

Incredible scenery! Our guide Roberto was so knowledgeable and informative. We had an amazing experience travelling with him. We visited two fantastic wineries where amazing food and wine was served. Mount Etna and the surrounding villages are so beautiful. I highly recommend this tour.

Great wine tour with guide Giuseppe. Visited the hill town of Castiglione de Sicilia then 2 lovely wineries. We had a charcuterie board at first winery and a delicious lunch at the second. It was a lovely day and would recommend to others.

Wonderful day exploring the authentic village of castiglione di sicilia. We went to 2 wineries, Tornatore and Emilio Sciacca which were fabulous with an amazing lunch at the latter. Our tour guide Roberto was personable, knowledgeable and funny!

Great Wine Tour

We went on the Etna Wine Tour towards the end of September. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and good company. It was a small tour with one other couple and we visited 2 vine yards on the slopes of Mount Etna. Both vine yards were beautiful and the hosts made each tour very interesting and not only allowed us to sample their wines but provided us with a range of lovely food as well. Couldn't have asked for a better tour.
