We had a last minute trip change from Gibraltar to Cadiz & Jerez. We really enjoyed our day with Andres who became our own private tour guide! The company was flexible and he pivoted quickly to show us a good time and they even scheduled a sherry tour. Appreciate the personal attention and flexibility! It’s a memorable experience. We were picked up by Daniel Fernando at our hotel and driven to Gibraltar. Our guides Jose Luis and Tony were excellent and we really enjoyed our day in Gibraltar. Daniel Fernando drove us back from Gibraltar to our hotel doorstop in Seville. We felt very pampered throughout the journey.

Carlos picked us up at our hotel in Sevilla in a Mercedes mini bus. We joined a small group of people and took about a two hour drive to Gibraltar. Carlos stopped along the way for us to get coffee etc. When we arrived at our destination, Carlos guided us through border patrol, the show of Passports and into Gibraltar. He guided us into the main area of the city, while ediucsting us on Gibraltar's history. He then took us to an area of shops and restaurants and gave us time for lunch and tips on where to eat. We ate at a delicious Fish and Chips restaurant- the fish was fresh and delicious!! Then, we met our second tour guide to take us up the Rock of Gibraltar and into the caves. I can not remember his name but will share pics. He was absolutely the best. Helping us in and out of his large van, providing historical text to what we were seeing, and taking us up the very narrow roads safely!! We saw numerous monkeys and was able to go into a couple of caves. We stopped for panoramic views and pictures. It was absolutely my most favorite tour while in Spain. I learned so much and it was so beautiful. After the tour, we met Carlos and we drove back to Sevilla and he dropped us back at our hotels. Carlos was wonderful!!

Amazing day trip to Gibraltar!

We booked a private Gibraltar day tour, and it was really wonderful!! Our driver & guide for the journey to & from Gibraltar was Carlos, and he was so enthusiastic, helpful, and engaging. He gave us a lot of history about Seville and kept us entertained on the drive to Gibraltar. He clearly coordinated the transfer with our guide in Gibraltar who also made our experience really fun. The stops in Gibraltar were beautiful, and it was nice to have free time after to enjoy lunch and some souvenir shopping. For the drive back to Seville, Carlos was punctual to meet us and even helped guide us back to our hotel at the end of the tour. Would strongly recommend this tour, it was so worth it to book a private tour for this experience and to book with Not Just a Tourist.

A great day in Gibraltar

Can throughly recommend this activity. Our driver (Daniel) and guide (Jose Luis) were amazing. Daniel collected us from our hotel in Seville and drove us to Gibraltar. He was a wealth of information en route and because he was an agronomist by profession we were provided so much detail about the surrounding land. He was respectful, extremely courteous and a great guy. Our guide (Jose Luis) met us over the border in Gibraltar. He was a native Gibraltan and had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of Gibraltar. You could he was passionate about the Rock and being a Gibraltan. He drove us around the Township and Rock to various sites (which we explored) including Pillars of Hercules. St Michael’s Cave (amazing), the Sky Walk, and the tunnels of the Rock providing detailed explanation along the way. He was a real character and we got immensely well with him. This was our first private tour for two people, and an amazing experience. My wife and I have no hesitation in recommending this tour. It was worth every cent. Thanks Daniel and Jose Luis!!! Daniel Fernando was our driver from Seville to Gibraltar. He was an amazing guide! He was very friendly and dropped us at the Gibraltar border with very explicit instructions on how to go across the border from Spain into Gibraltar. Once into Gibraltar we were met by John who took us to 5 stops on the rock of Gibraltar. John was very knowledgeable of the area and very accommodating to our wishes. We then had free time to explore on our own in Gibraltar which was wonderful! Daniel then met us over the border back into Spain for the 2 hour ride back to Seville. Daniel was very accommodating and drove us safely through the Spanish countryside back to Seville. I would highly recommend this trip!!

The drive from Seville to...

The drive from Seville to Gibraltar is about 2.5 hours through scenic countryside. Our driver Fernando helped us pass the time with lots of information about the area and answered a lot of our questions. Once inside Gibraltar, Jose Luis has been assisting tourists for more than 30 years and was a fantastic guide…always making sure to watch out for us and get us the best picture opportunities. The ride back was a great time for a nap and Fernando gave us quiet time (in a cool car) and a smooth ride to make the trip go quickly. A great experience!

Excellent day and excellent value! We were picked up by our driver at our hotel promptly by our driver, Daniel Fernando. Daniel was extremely attentive on the drive opening the door for my daughter and wife each time. Checking routinely on our comfort and temperature of the car. Offered well timed restroom and coffee/snack break on the trip down and back from Gibraltar. Daniel was very warm and friendly and extremely informative along the way and what to expect when we met our guide Jose Luis in Gibraltar. We arrived at the border and the process was very smooth to get through into Gibraltar. As arrived on the other side, we were met by Jose. Jose was a very warm and friendly man. He was super informative and helpful. Making sure we were well for each stop and where we would meet him (observation point, two different cave entrances, sky bridge, etc.). We had a splendid time and it was absolutely enhanced by both Daniel and Jose! We highly recommend this trip and it’s definitely worth the time commitment!

I really enjoyed this day trip. Gibraltar was not what I expected, and Jose Luis did an amazing job showing us around and giving us so much information. The views were gorgeous, St. Michael's cave was unique, and the shopping and restaurant area was a lot of fun.

We had the most amazing day in Gibraltar. Our guide Johnny showed us all the important sights, he was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend our time with. Gibraltar itself is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. A big thank you to our driver Carlos who was amazing company and it was an extreme pleasure to spend so many hours in the car with him. Carlos was a spectacular guide and driver! He was so friendly and informative. John also assisted us once over the border in Gibraltar, and he was equally knowledgeable. A Quick and Enjoyable Day Trip to Gibraltar

Admittedly, the price point for this tour is a bit higher than other options, but the stellar reviews convinced me it was worth it—and I’m happy to say, it absolutely was! Carlos drove us to and from Sevilla, and he was not only a delight to chat with but also very knowledgeable about both Gibraltar and Spain’s history and culture. Once we crossed the border, we were guided by Juan Luis, a native Gibraltarian and true expert. He took us through the town and to several key spots along the Rock, including the caves, tunnels, and scenic stops to observe and photograph the famous monkeys. His insights and perspectives were incredibly informative, and he made the entire experience both fun and educational. We also had time to enjoy a meal and explore the main square and surrounding area before heading back, arriving home around 5:30 PM. In hindsight, I wish we’d had a bit more time to explore the WWII tunnels and spend another hour between the Rock and the town, but given the long drive to and from Sevilla, it’s understandable. It’s just something to keep in mind when booking. All in all, the tour was fantastic, and I’d highly recommend it. A little more time would have made it perfect, but it’s still a great experience and would happily do it again.

First visit to Gibraltar

This tour was okay, but nothing special, aside from St Michaels Caves. It was a long time in the car (my driver Jose was superb) and then a confusing passing through the passport checkpoint. We didn’t spend much time in any one spot and also didn’t really see town. There wasn’t proper guidance about how to be around the monkeys (don’t carry food, be watchful that they will go after your things, etc) and it was a bit chaotic and I didn’t feel that safe with the monkeys honestly. The whole thing felt very expensive with limited value.

Great tour to Gibraltar! Our Spain guide/driver Jefferson was super nice and very enthusiastic. In Gibraltar our guide/driver John was also very nice and knowledgeable. From Seville is a 2 hrs something but is all worth it.

Super Gibraltar trip

Carlos, the driver and storyteller, was great. Took care of us and got us over the border in under 15 minutes after the roughly 2.5 hours drive which was rich with countryside. He handed us off to Luis to see Gibraltar. Luis maneuvered in and out of the tiny areas up the rock and within the city so easily. He had great history and tips on how to deal with the monkeys. Leave your food in the vehicle unless you want monkeys all over you. Super pictures with them and the rock along with exploring. This is about 2 hours. Then lunch and shopping for roughly 2 hours. Carlos got us back to town with no problems and on time. Can I go more than 5 stars?

Gibraltar tour from Seville

This was an amazing private tour. Alfonso was a fantastic driver who met us timely at our hotel to drive us to Gibraltar to meet our tour guide. Alfonso accompanied us across the border and safely got us to Luis who took the tour over from there. Luis was fantastic! born and raised in Gibraltar, he was a wealth of information. We saw all the sites and then some. Thank you, Luis! Alfonso was waiting for us on the other side of the border when our time in Gibraltar was over and returned us to Seville. A must do trip!!
