Our guide was confused about the time change and thus did not show up. We got a substitute guide Aziz 1 who did a great job. Driver Joan was excellent and very helpful.
Only other thing I would have liked to have done is go to a large bazaar to buy bulk spices.

The tour was fantastic. Daniel Fernando, our driver, was punctual, friendly and very professional. He accompanied us to the port and drove us promptly and safely back. The tour in Tangier was great. Aziz our guide was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We had plenty of to time to walk through the Kasbah and Medina neighborhoods, pointing out great historical sites and traditions. We also drove around to see the city and the great views of the beach. Would definitively recommend it.

Our tour guide and driver in Tanger's were absolutely wonderful, but the person who organized the trip, Masha from NOT JUST A TOURIST, was not.
Before we even left, Masha repeatedly contacted us asking for additional money to cover the ferry, camel ride, and lunch. We later realized all of these could have been easily arranged directly through the tour guide in Tangiers. Then, the day before our departure, Masha contacted us again to tell us we needed to pay more in order to make our scheduled ferry. That turned out to be false. Our driver, Fernando, dropped us off late at the ferry terminal, and we missed our boat. We ended up buying new tickets through another provider to catch the next ferry. We expect a refund for the original tickets we purchased.
On the return, our guide in Tangier went above and beyond making sure our tickets were correct and walking us to the terminal. But once we arrived back in Spain at 10 p.m., there was no driver waiting. We called and texted Masha multiple times, but she never answered. Even our guide in Tangier tried to reach her, also without success. We were stranded 2.5 hours away from our hotel in Seville, late at night in cold, windy weather. Eventually, Fernando answered his phone, but instead of meeting us at the terminal, he was parked on a random street outside, with no way for us to know where to find him.
To make matters worse, my phone had died. Thankfully, my husband had spoken with Masha earlier that day and was able to reach out again, though she still did not respond until the following day. When she finally did contact me on WhatsApp, she claimed she avoided messaging because it “wasn’t private.”
The entire experience left us feeling abandoned and frustrated. While our guides and driver were excellent, Masha’s handling of the tour was unprofessional, dishonest, and unacceptable. I fully intend to share this experience online. For reference, the company is Not Just a Tourist.

This was an amazing tour! We had two guides on this tour. Our driver Fernando was so kind and helpful. He picked us up as close to the hotel as he could since we were in a no traffic zone. Then drove us safely to the port. He then walked us into the ferry port and made sure the counter had our ferry tickets before saying goodbye.
In Tangier we were met by Ashran. He was an amazing tour guide. He Took us to see Tangier as only a local can. We were driven around in a nice car to all the different parts of the city.
Once back to the port in Tarifa Fernando was waiting for us to drive us home. He actually went out of his way to find us a great view point of the Rock of Gibraltar to be able to take pictures. He was the nicest guy. We really appreciated all his efforts to make our day great.

We had a truly amazing experience! We were well taken care of, and saw a number of beautiful sights in Spain and Morocco. We were a little worried about getting through customs and making our way to Africa, but again, the whole team made it a breeze.

What an incredible day in Tangiers! This was a very memorable excursion. Our driver from Sevilla to Tarifa, Daniel, was so warm and kind. He made certain that we knew exactly where to go upon arrival at the ferry terminal and was very communicative. Our guide in Tangiers, Abdul was so awesome. We arrived on a big national holiday, so some of the activities were limited or closed, but we loved having the streets to ourselves in the morning. Abdul looked out for us and made sure we had everything we needed. His information about the city and history was enlightening and vivid. It felt like touring with an unrivaled expert. The drive from Sevilla to Tarifa is about 2.5 hours, so this really is a long day. But we got back to Sevilla just in time for a great late tapas meal. Highly recommended.

This was an excellent tour. The driver down to the port was friendly, courteous and efficient. The ferry crossing is a little tricky with certain details that need to paid close attention to, but the tour operator sent and email a few days in advance explaining the necessary steps and the pitfalls to avoid. The local tour guide in Tangiers was truly a pro. He spoke good English and new all the ins and outs of Tangiers. We paid a supplement to the tour operator get a private tour instead of a small group. I would recommend this option because it provides the flexibility to stop at individual shops and take more time at your leisure. All in all, it was an excellent experience.

Be prepared for a long day with a lot of walking and the ferry sometimes gets canceled due to weather. Otherwise it was an awesome experience, fun and informative. Our guide, Omar, made the whole experience so memorable with his fun personality and humor. 10/10

A unique experience and a really cool day out to Tangier. Not Just a Tourist took care of all the logistics making it a seamless trip between continents.
The day stated early with Dani picking us up for a 2 hour trip to the port in Torifa. He was really nice and friendly and let us catch up on some sleep on the drive down. Once in Torifa he explained the boat procedure and sent us on our way to the ferry terminal.
Not Just a Tourist took care of all the ferri bookings, we just gave a confirmation code and we were on our way.
Remember to get your passport stamped on the boat while sailing or you will have to go back onboard to do it
Once landed, we met our guide Mohcine and our driver Yasim who were fantastic. Mohcine was a delight the whole time and made us feel like locals with stories and introducing us to other locals.
We added the optional camel ride which was good fun. Lunch was also included and was delicious, and the fruit was so tasty. Much better than back home.
We left Mohcine for the 7pm ferry where we met Dani again to drive back to Sevilla.
Overall a fantastic day and a credit to all those involved in making our day special.

Not Just a Tourist had phenomenal communication and beautifully arranged a very complicated day trip. They provided step by step information to guide us through the whole process. Everything went very smoothly with the logistics. Our tour guide in Tangier, Abdel, was incredible. His knowledge of the area’s history was very interesting and well presented. Our tin with Omar in Tangier was amazing! Great tour guide and very accommodating. Muhammad, our driver, was excellent as well.
I highly recommend the camel ride on the beach. It was a highlight for us.
The ferry ride is about an hour long. On the way back to Tarifa, the crowd is not organized at all, so be ready for some chaos.
All in all, an amazing day! You’ll love it.

The tour company was excellent as well as the drivers and guides. Lunch was great and also the camel ride was fun. Everything in the companies control was great, they deserve 5 stars.
The ferry company or passport control was terrible. The ride was about 1.25 hours, however passport control was that long.
The drivers told us this was unusual.
If you book this tour be prepared to wait getting on and off the boat.

This was the best experience my wife and I could ever ask for. Riding the camels along the beach of the Atlantic Ocean and having lunch with a gorgeous view! We also enjoyed walking through the kasbah and seeing hand made items!!

Rababe was a great tour guide. She made the tour fun and we learned not just about Tangier and Morocco, but she also answered lots of questions on what it is like to live there.
Just a few heads up on the tour. The tour is longer than the advertised time. We were picked up in Seville at 8am and dropped off at 11pm. Also, a few days before the tour look for an email with the ferry reservation number. The driver from Seville just drops you off. They don’t accompany you into the ferry terminal.
The driver also seemed to be confused on the return ferry time. The return ferry is at 6pm Morocco time. Not Spain time as he thought

My friend and I took a day trip from Sevilla to Tangier in June 2023. Not Just a Tourist advertised that its tours were typically smaller than the typical big group tours, but we didn’t realize that we would actually have a day tour all to ourselves! We were met by a great driver, Alfonso, who took us from Sevilla to the port in Tarifa. We didn’t speak much Spanish and he didn’t speak much English, but with persistence and good humor we had a lovely conversation as he drove us down (and later back).
The ferries were on time, and we were met in Tangier by our guide Abdel for a whirlwind trip around the city. It’s inevitable that a one-day trip to any new city will feel too fast, and that was certainly the case here, but we enjoyed our trip up the coast and the camel ride on the beach (costs extra, but it was very good value! We expected maybe 5 minutes on camels, but probably had 15-20 min. riding down the beach and back).
I think we would both have liked a little more time wandering in the Casbah of Tarifa, especially so we could make up our minds a bit more about any shopping we wanted to do. Abdel was a lovely, friendly guide who answered all our questions and tried to bring us to the parts of the market that we found most interesting.
We bought the lunch that was offered as part of the tour, and although we finally sat to eat very late, the meal was fantastic! I love Moroccan food, and it was a simple but perfect tagine, exactly what I would have hoped.
Overall, a full, busy day, but very good value! Certainly recommended as a first taste of Tangier, Morocco, or Africa more broadly.

We had an amazing adventure! I highly recommend. Mom and 2 adult daughters. Our drivers and guide were very professional and kind. We were picked up at 8 am and driven to the ferry. Our driver made a quick stop and we were able to grab coffee and snacks. The ferry was nice and there are drinks and food available there as well. Our guide was there to meet us once we got off. He was kind and full of knowledge and passion for Tangier. Our driver was great as well. Lunch was a nice meal. Be aware if you’re an American that you pay for water everywhere and it is not included in your meal. 5 euros. The camel ride down the beach was fabulous and that whole area is so beautiful. Our driver took us to meet the ferry and we enjoyed our ride back with cocktails. Our Spanish driver was right there to meet us and drive us back to Seville. Our driver was so nice and used a cell phone translator so we could chat. We arrived back in Seville at 10:30 pm. We felt very safe the entire trip and enjoyed the shops as well. If I was to offer any suggestions it would be to skip the art museum so we could have more time on the coast. Thanks for a memorable adventure!

Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to visit Tangier while in Seville. A very positive experience across the board. Booking and overall communication with Not Just a Tourist was excellent (I emailed Mahsa at least 10X - with regular and timely response). Once in Tangier, the entire day was made by having Hassan lead the way. He was extremely kind and very knowledgeable. We were treated to a true Tangier experience because of it. Our driver to/from Tarifa (Juanlu) was a gem as well. So many awesome experiences and memories - Thank you Not Just a Tourist!!
