Small group we were joined with 3 others who were an awesome pairing! Carlos did amazing job driving and touring us through Cordoba. Even stopped over in Carmona which was awesome and unexpected! Our tour of the Mosque was with a personal guide and that was a small fee more but well worth it. Great communication everything on time!

Great day excursion to Cordoba - we saw all the highlights and got a great feel for the city thanks to our wonderful tour guide Carlos. We also highly recommend the private/small group tour of the mosque. Definitely worth it!

It was very interesting. Our guides were very knowledgeable and helpful during the entire trip. The mosque was very nice with its red and white archways.

Great Day Trip from Seville

We booked a tour to Cordoba and the Mosque well in advance. Not Just a Tourist was easy to communicate with and gave us an option for a private tour inside the Mosque for an extra fee (which we chose). Carlos picked us up at our hotel 10 minutes early in a very comfortable Ford Puma. We made two stops on our way to Cordoba. First stop was at the Parador de Carmona Hotel - Alcazar del Rey Don Pedro. It was very interesting to see one of the palaces converted to a hotel during the Franco regime, which we had heard about on other tours in Spain. At the second stop Carlos treated us to a traditional Spanish breakfast of bread, garlic, olive oil and smashed tomatoes with coffee. It hit the spot and was fun to learn from a local. Carlos gave us a very informative tour of Cordoba prior to arriving at the Mosque where we met our private guide, Angel. We appreciated the private tour through the mosque and information on the floats that happened to be there after a procession earlier in the week, similar to one held at Easter. Carlos gave us a great recommendation for lunch, away from the crowds with good food for a great price. Highly recommend this tour and Not Just a Tourist if your are looking for a private/small group option.

What a great day! We ended up changing from the small group tour to a private one, and Im so glad we did! This tour with our guide Oscar was like visiting the city with a friend who is a local. He was so gracious and considerate. We have some health issues and we walk slowly, but Oscar made sure we still saw everything we wanted to. Plus, he's so interesting and knowledgeable -- and a great conversationalist! What fun! Plus, he's also a trained chef, so he knew the best restaurant to go to for lunch and we ended up trying delicious local dishes that we definitely wouldn't have tried without his encouragement. Yum!!! Oscar, you really made our day memorable and one of the best of our whole trip! Muchas gracias!

Day Trip to Cordoba

Carlos was a wonderful guide, and the personalized pickup/drop off by private car was extremely pleasant. Stopped in Carmona for a view, and had breakfast and lunch on the trip, as well as a walking tour prior to the Mosque. The addition of a private guide for the Mosque was definitely worth it, and a highlight of our time in Spain.

Cordoba is a must see!

Cordoba was well worth seeing. Not only is it beautiful but the history is unbelievable. Our guide Carlos was exceptional. He was gracious and knowledgeable. We opted for the tour of the Mosque which was worth it and Angel’s passion was palpable. One thing I would note is that there were very few ratings which concerned us. Apparently they have far more on Trip Advisor.

Carlos was the best! After a wonderful stop in Cordoba to visit the mosque and catheral(s), Carlos made an unscripted stop in Carmona which was a beautiful location. We requested one other activity while we were in town and he was more than happy in delaying our departure by 1/2 hour. He was a very polite, knowledgeable, and a very safe driver (which is not always the case).

A perfect day, a perfect guide, absolutely worth the money.

Cordoba is stunningly beautiful, and Angel was an absolutely splendid guide for both our neighborhood walk and for our visit to the Mezquita. We were VERY glad we had paid a bit more to work with him and the Not Just a Tourist group. I would do this all over again in a heartbeat.

I'd like to give special praise to Nestor and our driver Roberto, they ensured we had a fantastic experience in Cordoba. They were both on time at departure, provided us a very clean and comfortable ride, and were super friendly. Nestor was not only a great tour guide but also behaved as if we were all old friends, making casual conversation over breakfast and throughout the day. He also took us to this AMAZING restaurant after our tours finished, the food was the best we had in Spain and was very much appreciated since prior to that we had had a hard time finding good places to eat. Nestor and Roberto were even kind enough to drop us off at the end in Plaza de Espana after he learned that was the only thing we had missed during our stay in Seville, and he insisted we must see it before we left the next day. Aside from Nestor and Roberto, the tour run by Anna in Cordoba was also very good. She had a great personality and seemed totally in control the whole day, like a pro. I enjoyed the Alcazar, and was very impressed with the Mezquita, however, to be honest I felt that the Jewish Quarter was a bit boring and a waste of time. I would have rather gone around to see the flowers of Cordoba since they had just finished their annual flower competition and there were beautiful display on everyone's terraces or down to the city fair we saw dozens of women dressed in beautiful flamenco dresses headed there throughout the day. Maybe you could at least make this part optional and provide travelers more free time in the future.
