Our original two tours were canceled, but Rafael and his company were able to help us still see EL Yunque on our last day in Puerto Rico! We had a great time. Our guide, Daniel, was very personable and he made sure we got there before the crowds took over! We hiked, climbed, jumped into the water and swam near a beautiful waterfall! We had a great time and are so glad this tour allowed us to experience the rainforest. Thank you!

Very unique experience for the family. The natural water slides and pool are worth the trip. Our guide Diego was great.

This was a beautiful experience and my kids favorite. Diego picked us up from Carolina at our hotel and we went to EL YOUNQUE. We got to rope jump, slide down natural waterfalls and jump off cliffs. I would say this trip is best for kids on the older sides with no fear of heights. You are climbing kinda tough terrain and need to rock climb in certain areas. Diego and Nelson made sure we were safe the whole way through. Wear sneakers you don’t care about they will get muddy. Have fun and enjoy the empanadas at the end.

Tristan was such an amazing tour guy for our trip threw El Yunque Rainforest. We had such an amazing time! Definitely highlight of our vacation an experience, we will never forget! The views you will get to see are nothing less than stunning!! My favorite thing was sliding down the water slide !!! The rush you get was unforgettable!! You get to see waterfalls as well !! For the amount money it's a no brainer !! I thought they should actually have charged more !! They offer pick up & drop off services right from your resort!! Tristan was a really cool dude too !! He really mad our experience so much better !!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I will give a disclaimer. I like to hike and history. The tour is neither. This is not a hike, with history and going to a waterfall and hiking some more. The tour is going to a waterfall, a water slide that is dangerous without giving you full details of what you are about to encounter. once you hit the water there is a whirl pool effect and the water takes you back in under the water fall. Whether you swim or not you need a life vest. The entrance is in the back of the state parl. So if you are looking for a hike through the rainforest this is not the tour. Of you are looking to jump off a cliff into the water this is the tour for you. Dress comfortably, not cute, a lot of mud, a lot of mud, wear a life vest regardless.

Hi Renee,
It's such a bummer that you didn't enjoy the tour and it was not what you expected. This is certainly not we want to hear from our guests. Maybe you are a very experience hiker, used to other types of trails, but our tour is definitely a hike.
Since it's the rainforest and it does rain a lot, yes, the trail get's muddy, that is not something we hide from our guests, in fact, many of them say that the mud is a fun part of the tour.
The pool where you land from the waterslide does have a whirl but it does not drag you down the river, in fact it pushes you out of the pool. We do ask all our inexperienced swimmers to wear a life jacket mostly to make them feel safer. Our guides have over 2 decades of going to that river and no one has ever drowned.
I hope that clarifies your concerns and thank you for your feedback. We are always looking to improve our tours and transparency.

We had such a wonderful day with Nelson. He was extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. He took us to an amazing local spot for breakfast beforehand. It was rainy that day, but he made sure that we were able to complete the tour and took tons of videos and pictures! We had a great time!

Charlie our tour guy is amazing he did a fantastic job of showing us around very kind sweet guy😇 he is a rockstar!

Nelson was a great guide. We did fine on this short hike. However dont take older or less stable people. The trails are muddy and slippery. For us, it was fun swimming. Nelson took us to a cool local spot for food and drink.

Cluster was very helpful, friendly and super supportive. He was always making sure we are okay and safe. Hands down one of the best guide we’ve ever met in PR! Next time we come back, we will request him again.
Kari_C, Jun 2023
Our tour guide Fransisco made it an amazing adventure.. his knowledge of everything was great. I would 100% recommend this tour with him!!
Ariel_N, Jun 2023
This trip was epic. I can’t believe we got a personal guide for less than the price of the big tour groups. It’s definitely a challenging hike at times and you go through water so be sure to have good hiking sandals. If you need help, the guide was very helpful whenever there was a challenging or slippery part. There were many other families there so it’s definitely doable for all, you just might be sore the next day. If you love an adventure this is the trip for you! We also got to learn about many of the local plants and animals.

It was great! The whole trip was fun and challenging. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to PR.

It was all memorable, but we most enjoyed the jumps from the cliff. Cluster and Patricia were very friendly and helpful.

Rafael was great! We had another tour cancel due to weather and booked this last minute. We had such a fun day on rock water slides and climbing around rocks beside the river. Our guide Rafael was so knowledgeable about PR and the rainforest and made the tour interesting and fun both adults and kids. Highly recommend! We saw other groups who had up to 30 people and that would not be the same experience.

Our crew had an amazing time seeing a new and beautiful place. The scenery was breathtaking and the activities were all a blast. Our tour guide was also super experienced and engaging.
Ashley_W, Mar 2023
This tour was incredible. Rafael is an amazing guide with so much knowledge and kindness to share. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
Francesco_B, Feb 2023
Raphael is a great guide, he kept us safe all the time but I must say the hike is not super-easy and it was so muddy that we could not enjoy the walk as we were watching our steps. I once arrived at the river all the water activities were fun, all in all, the tour is definitely worth it. On the negative side, We did not get the fresh fruit that was supposed to be included and the tour operator should provide a place where you can change your clothes.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Hi Francesco! While we truly appreciate your business we are very saddened to get only 4 stars when our guide went above and beyond to accommodate you and your guest by giving you a ride to Old San Juan where it was not your drop off location nor on his way back home.
We do let our guest know that the trail can be muddy, just so you are prepared. After all, your are hiking in a rainforest where it rains everyday. The fruits are seasonal and sometimes we may not have it.
If you have any other concerns, please contact us directly. We like to hear constructive criticism to help us do a better job next time.
Again, thank you for choosing us!

Marty was our guide. He made this our best experience in San Juan. He is a very attentive and knowledgeable guide who enjoys sharing stories and knowledge of San Juan and El Yunque rainforest.

Great adventure. Our tour guide Guillermo was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions to get there early to avoid crowds. Very respectful and helpful.

Ian was an excellent guide. He was super knowledgeable and courteous. When we come back we will be sure to do this again! Be sure to bring hiking shoes and get ready to get a little muddy and wet.
Bailey_M, Apr 2022
Loved this experience! Ian was an amazing guide-- He is very knowledgeable, fun and made us all feel safe and comfortable on the trek! We were picked up at 7am to get to our destination by 8, as Ian had texted the day before that we should leave a little early to beat the crowds. I am so happy we left a little earlier because we basically had the trail to ourselves on our way there. We walked slowly, stopping to listen to Ian talk about different types of plants and flowers we saw along the way.
It is a short hike, but there were definitely challenges parts-- mud, roots and rocks. Definitely wear sneakers (I saw some people in other groups wearing crocks or flip flops and I don't know how they made it). Our guides were great at helping us where we needed, lending us a hand across slippery and/or steep rocks.
The natural water slides at the end were incredible. Ian and our other guide (so sorry I forgot her name!) encouraged us to try the slides while making us feel totally safe. Everyone in our group went down with no regrets :) we loved it. You spend a decent amount of time at the slides so you can go down a few times or jump off of the rocks if you want. Note-- Ian had life jackets available, but we were not required to wear them and no one in our group did. Other big tour groups we saw looked like they were required to wear helmets and life jackets for their whole hike which seemed hot and cumbersome. I was happy Ian had them as an option but felt safe without.
I really appreciated that this tour kept the group small -- there were only 8 of us so it felt like more of an individualized experience vs a tour. This was truly a unique experience and the highlight of my trip to Puerto Rico. Can't recommend enough!

We had an amazing time with Rafael as our guide and we’re glad there were just 8 of us in the group (we saw the bigger groups of 30+ and it didn’t look as fun). He picked us up from our hotel which was very convenient. He told us all about the history of Puerto Rico, San Juan including the island and mountains formations. We had an amazing jungle hike, including the waterfalls, rope swings and jumps. We could tell he was the best tour guide and he was super patient. We finished with some great food.

This is the tour to take! Rafael is the best guide. Super fun, full of information about Puerto Rico and your safety is definitely accounted for. The small group size is a major plus. After the hike we had the best meal of our vacation at the restaurant Rafael took us to. You must book this tour!
Gregory_K, Mar 2022
Our guide was informative, kind, spirited and careful. Even his choice of local eatery was excellent. I’d go with him on other tours if given the time.
Jodi_B, Feb 2022
Raphael was a fantastic guide - provided a lot of “local” information and was a wonderful guide. It was a super safe and fun expedition.
James_K, Feb 2022
Rafael was the perfect guide for this experience! He’s experienced, incredibly knowledgeable about almost every topic, and he brought an equal amount of enthusiasm and attentiveness to our group. The small party size (3 couples + Rafael) was perfect and it felt more like friends going for a hike than being shuffled through a tour. Book this and don’t think twice!
Anna_M, Sep 2021
I really enjoyed and recommend this experience! I had lots of fun exploring the rainforest, sliding down the natural waterslides and swinging on a rope into the water, Jose was a great guide and ensured everyone was safe. He was also very accommodating with pickup for the excursion (I was staying a little far from the usual pick up area). One of the best things was that he took plenty of pictures and videos during the tour and sent them to me afterwards
Hadeal_R, Aug 2021
This was the best hiking trip I have ever taken! Ian was a great tour guide and helped us get through the forest. My parents are in their 50s and I am pregnant and he did an amazing job! :)
Response from Host, Sep 2021
Thank you for the kind review about Ian! We are proud to have amazing tour guides that truly care about your experience!

If you don’t book with them you’re missing out. Ian and Vanessa were nothing short of AMAZING. Friendly, fun knowledgeable on the history of the rainforest and I felt safe with them. Van was clean, not overcrowded, cool and he drove safely. They were With you literally every step of the way. I can’t wait for my next trip
To pr to book specifically with them. Thank you for an amazing experience!
