Make your own way to the dance studio near Ipanema for your 7:00 p.m. dance lesson. Led by an instructor, enjoy a roughly hour-long class focused on the basic steps of samba and forro in a fun, relaxed setting. Whether you come solo, with a partner, or with friends, the lesson is designed for all experience levels.
At around 8:30 p.m., head out to a popular local club and skip the lines with fast-pass entry. Once inside, hit the dance floor to the sound of a live band and put your new moves into action. Spend the next few hours enjoying the music and atmosphere alongside your guide and fellow dancers.
At the end of the night, your guide will assist you with finding a taxi back to your accommodation, wrapping up an energetic and authentic evening in Rio.

It was a GREAT experience! I came late and Marco, I believe the instructor’s name, was so patient with teaching me. After the class he took us to the Rio Scenarium and danced the night away! It was my Bday and he bought me a drink! It was so fun! I had a blast! I highly recommend this tour, even if you don’t have a partner go!!! You will have fun!

It was a lot of fun! The teacher was great, we did the samba club after, it was nice but it was a tourist spot and not a local club. Which had its benefits, but would have been nice to get an authentic experience too.

Very beginner, if going to truly learn how to Samba you will be disappointed. This is more for people who have never danced in their life. It would have been nice for the instructor to read the room better and give more advanced steps to attendees who were more advanced. The instructors personality was awesome! Visiting a samba club after to see how locals samba and party was great.

10 out of 10. Our instructor was helpful and patient with me as we learned to Samba. Afterward we were able to use out dance moves at a street party. He gave a history lesson of the country and helpful tips to be safe. Brazil was a whole vibe.

The instructor was pretty amazing. He was a great teacher and a lot of fun. He then took us to a really cool Samba club that just made the night! Some of the group did not come to the club (they missed out!), so we had him to ourselves and he danced with each of us. We felt safe and really felt like we were embracing the culture. Highly recommend this and go to the club!

We had a big group class with limited spaces to move...would be better if the class was just limited to certain amount of people enough for the ppl to move around and see the instructor well doing it. But it was still a fun class tho.

Great Friday night class. Marco was a great instructor and made my 1st samba experience worthwhile b/c he was very hospitable. The transportation to the Samba bar was efficient & the night out in Lapa was extremely fun with lots of sweating.

Marco is the best! Very sweet, talented and patient. I'm not much of a dancer but Marco helped me learn the basic steps of Samba. Afterwards, he took the class to this wonderful historic restaurant in Santa Theresa. Overall, it was a much needed night and I'm so grateful that I got to spend a few hours with the amazing Marco!

Marco did a great job teaching us the basic steps of samba, and took us to a super fun samba club afterwards! The club was definitely a big highlight of our visit in Rio, and Marco showed us some cool moves there as well 😄 highly recommend to go to the club, as the lesson itself is great to prepare for the club, but you only get the full experience when going out after class!
Maybe one point to improve: It would’ve been cool to also learn a few “couple moves” in the class.

Such a great night! Book this! Bruno is not only an excellent instructor, he is full of information about Brazil in general, and picked an excellent bar/restaurant for us to go enjoy after the class. Stayed with us throughout the night, and made sure we were able to get a uber home. You don't have to be good at dancing - just a good opportunity to have fun. Would definitely do this again. Thanks, Bruno!!

The venue after the class is beautifu and has great music.
Cons:
The tour is way overpriced. (The entry to the venue is actually free. The price is only for the class and the transportation)
The venue (not the class) is dominated by older crowds

The instructor not only knew how to Samba, he knew how to teach it and how to make the experience fun. Plus, he was very attentive to all at the Scenarium, which was a fantastic experience. Just avoiding the line at the Scenarium was worth the price, since so many stand in line for so long to get in. This was a winner.
