Good but crowded don't worry about shoes

Class was good and we learned some steps, but even with moving to a bigger space was too crowded and couldn't really see the dance instructor. Was about a 45 min class and we did it barefoot

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry about this 🙏 End of December can be a bit tricky for us, and we did adjust times and spaces to manage the crowd as best as possible. We appreciate your comments and are moving to a bigger studio for the end-of-year and Carnival period, while the rest of the year our samba class in Copacabana usually runs comfortably.

Our instructor had great energy and we had fun. Unfortunately, she didn’t speak any English and spent about a third of the time typing in words to translate what to do.

Very professional & clear instruction

I was the only student! Bem Vind was the instructor. He explained very clear about each step. Very professional with counts and accent of each step. He went right to the dance and I just followed him, he stopped and explained when he saw I did not get it, then we kept repeating until I felt comfortable. We did across the floor and turns, forward & backwards. This is a crash course, being a dance director of ballet and modern dance, Samba is quite challenging for me. I wish I stay for a week to take the class daily. He taught the class that we used the whole space.

The dance lesson with Carla was amazing! She is a great teacher and you will learn the "real" Samba (not the one you get teached at home in dancing schools). She makes videos and photos during dancing and afterwards with flags and a Samba costume and will share it right after the lessons. Highly recommended!
