Our guide Lucas was incredibly nice, welcoming, and truly passionate about sharing Rio’s culture. He was very informative throughout the tour and also shared many of his own experiences, which made everything feel more personal and meaningful. He took us to four different local restaurants, each offering delicious and authentic Rio dishes. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen, and he explained the history and flavors behind what we were trying. It was a perfect mix of great food, local insight, and genuine connection. Highly recommended!

Lucas took us on an amazing Brazilian food tour, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He is exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Brazilian food and culture. He explained everything so well and made the whole tour relaxed, interesting, and fun.

Lucas was a great host - walking us from one tasty food stop to the next ( all in the same neighborhood - so very easy walk) and telling us about each dish we tried.
Yummy food, great guide, fun neighborhood - all thumbs up! (And if you walk away hungry, it’s your own fault. We were stuffed! 😊)

We loved our tour with Bernardo! He was so kind and knowledgeable. I don't think I have ever learned so much information on a food tour as I did during this one. For each dish and dish origin location, he shared so much history and culture. It was wonderful getting to try several Afro-Brazilian dishes given that the tour I believe is in a predominantly Afro-Brazilian neighborhood. 10/10 would recommend!

Our guide Lucas is knowledgeable, personable, and enthusiastic about sharing a few of the many gems to be found in Brazilian food in his home town of Rio de Janeiro. With a sampling of traditional Brazilian grilled meats, to classics like feijoada, bolinhos de bacalhau, and some pleasant surprises, we were taken across a broad range of eating. This is a recommended experience, but be warned that you will be quite full toward the end!

Lia was an amazing guide. She went above and beyond and made the experience as enjoyable as it was. We heard about the cultural footings of the foods and neighbourhoods, so it was two tours in one really. She even guided us through the Samba nearby and gave everyone tips for their following days

Very poor value for the money.
The first stop was at a indigenous restaurant and the food was basically inedible. Not just me, everyone else thought the same.
Guide was fantastic, definitely 2 thumbs up.
Then one other stop which we were given a couple of items that were so so.
That was it!!
No drink , no nothing!
Sorry we were given a piece of fried cheese in jam.
Basically 2 stops.
Complete rip-off, find another company.

We went to places and tried different food we would never have tried if we toured Rio on our own. Would well recommend this tour . Javi , the tour guide was great as well . Don’t eat too much at the first location, pace yourself . 👍

What a great food tour. This tour focused on the authentic meals from Brazil, not just Rio De Janeiro. Lucas, our guide ensured we had a very informative and friendly evening as we ate our way through parts of Brazil. Had such a great food tour with Bernardo. This food tour met my expectations. We got to learn about the history of the country and how this history influenced the cuisine. I enjoyed trying food from a region of the country I probably wouldn't ever try at our first food stop (Tacaca do Norte Gourmet). Bernardo was a great food tour guide!
