Lia was an amazing guide. She went above and beyond and made the experience as enjoyable as it was. We heard about the cultural footings of the foods and neighbourhoods, so it was two tours in one really. She even guided us through the Samba nearby and gave everyone tips for their following days

Very poor value for the money.
The first stop was at a indigenous restaurant and the food was basically inedible. Not just me, everyone else thought the same.
Guide was fantastic, definitely 2 thumbs up.
Then one other stop which we were given a couple of items that were so so.
That was it!!
No drink , no nothing!
Sorry we were given a piece of fried cheese in jam.
Basically 2 stops.
Complete rip-off, find another company.

It was great to have a guide like Lucas to take me around with the other group members to age great drinks, food, and dessert. I highly recommend this tour and to ask for Lucas as a guide 🤞🏿🙏🏿

Jovi was an absolute delight! He was informed, and tried very proudly to educate us on his ancenstry through food.
The restaurants were all chosen with care to illustrate different aspects of Brazilian food,
The group we were with (there were three couples and us) were very engaging and altogether lovely.

We went to places and tried different food we would never have tried if we toured Rio on our own. Would well recommend this tour . Javi , the tour guide was great as well . Don’t eat too much at the first location, pace yourself . 👍

What a great food tour. This tour focused on the authentic meals from Brazil, not just Rio De Janeiro. Lucas, our guide ensured we had a very informative and friendly evening as we ate our way through parts of Brazil. Lucas’s command of the english language was exceptional which added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. I highly recommend this food tour.

Had such a great food tour with Bernardo. This food tour met my expectations. We got to learn about the history of the country and how this history influenced the cuisine. I enjoyed trying food from a region of the country I probably wouldn't ever try at our first food stop (Tacaca do Norte Gourmet). Bernardo was a great food tour guide!

We had a wonderful experience with Lia, who showed us around the city, told us all about the different foods and drinks and their meanings, explained so much about the Carioca culture and finished the tour in a vibrant samba gathering. Our food tour in Rio with Lia was amazing! She was so personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring throughout the entire experience. Every food tasting was delicious, and we loved that the tour included alcoholic beverages as well. Lia made us feel comfortable and gave great cultural insights along the way. If you can, go on a Monday — the samba party afterward is the perfect way to end the night! Highly recommend this tour and especially Lia as a guide.

An exceptionally friendly tour with Lia, a knowledgeable and entertaining host. We tried several dishes at fascinating places to eat and ended up in Little Africa listening to samba music. One of the best tours I’ve ever been on, packed with cultural info told in an engaging way. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide Bernardo was great! I had such a good time. The food was delicious. My only issue is the price. It was definitely over priced for the amount of food we tasted.

We had a great time on our food tour with Bernardo. He gave us loads of great information on the food culture of Rio and took us to some fun spots. The passionfruit cachaca drink was a highlight.

This was a wonderful experience. Bernardo is a smart and engaging host who shared the culture of Brazil and of course the food. The restaurants were all informal and comfortable. The food and drink were all delicious with many ingredients I’d never had before. The selection of dishes represented different regions of Brazil.
We finished the night enjoying lively music in a plaza.

We had a great evening with Jurema and got to experience Brazilian food and drink that we probably wouldn’t have otherwise tried. We went to local restaurants in various neighborhoods which we wouldn’t have found on our own. Would highly recommend this tour !

This was fun and interesting trying out different local foods. I also enjoyed hearing a bit of Brazilian history which always has influenced local eats. I did miss trying Brazilian BBQ.
