One of the best things I did while in Brazil! Thomas our tour guide was amazing and knew everything about the jungle taught us so much. Would recommend anyone booking this tour just be ready for a lot of walking!

Morning hike

This was a wonderful start to the morning ! We had a great guide, Sérgio. He took great care of us! We hiked thru the forest , we had a waterfall shower. We enjoyed cave exploring and climbing together ! It was a full morning from pick up just before 8 am and returning just before 2 pm! A few useful and important things to know before booking thus tour! if you are not used to hiking , climbing and crawling in steep areas maybe choose something else . I was the more mature/ older person ( over 50) in this tour and I am active but some parts of it were quite a challenge for me. Bring good hiking shoes, wear your bathing suit, maybe change of clothes, quick dry towel , light raincoat and light backpack. Bring bug repellant, water, fruit, something for food /lunch break . Enjoy the forest and all the waterfalls!

Great hike through the forest

We had a great time hiking through the forest with our guide alli. She was great and pointed out all of the animals and plants to see along the way. The hike was super informative about the history of tijuca park, the animals that live there and the insects. My daughter was super excited for this hike and alli delivered. Alli was also great at helping us to get great pictures for socials. Thanks very much for an amazing hike.

Sergio, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing!! Knowledgeable, courteous, attentive, patient, passionate, and inspiring!! Please remember you are hiking through an actual forest for 4 hours so dress appropriately.

My friend and I went on the Waterfalls and caves tour with Alessandra from Hike in Rio and she was our dream tour guide! Firstly, Alli is very warm and friendly (she speaks perfect English) and she's also very engaging with her impressive experience and knowledge of Tijuca. For our hike, Alli graciously indulged us by doubling up as a 'photoshoot photographer', patiently taking great shots of us at the beautiful waterfalls/caves that we visited - so not only does Alli have a great level of professionalism as a guide but she also has some serious skills with a camera phone which should not be underrated! The hike was the perfect mix of discovery and fun - I cannot recommend Hike in Rio more!
