A great tour learning about the history of the Tijuca Forest while hiking to some amazing spots. The small group size and our amazing guide, Vinicius, added to the wonderful experience. A great was to spend the morning and a must do in Rio.

This tour was absolutely fantastic. Our guide was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, sharing so much interesting history and context without ever being boring or overwhelming. It felt engaging and relaxed the entire time. I loved getting out of the city and seeing another side of Brazil’s natural beauty — the Tijuca Forest is stunning and such a refreshing contrast to Rio. The hike itself was very manageable: there’s some uphill, but nothing that would scare off anyone with average fitness. And the highlight? Seeing monkeys up close in their natural habitat! That alone made the experience unforgettable. If you’re visiting Rio and want a perfect mix of nature, history, and local insight, this tour is a must. Highly recommend!

Superb hiking tour through the forest with our excellent guide Pietro. Very passionate about nature, the forrest and a fountain of valuable information. After the over touristed sites of Christ the Redeemer and Seralon Steps, this was a beautiful, peaceful full morning walk in fresh air and nature without ridiculous crowds just wanting to take selfies.

This tour was excellent. Ricardo was an amazing guide. He gave us so much history throughout the hike, and the scenery, especially the waterfalls, were beautiful. It was great to see another side of Rio. We even saw a few animals! It was nice having a small group, and even though some parts were tough, we never felt rushed.

A day in Rio's rainforest!

First of all the guide (Renata) was awesome!!! She was very knoledgeble about pretty much everything relating to Brazil's history and Tijuca's biodiversity. I honestly had a wonderful time. The trek was really cool and combined with all the things I've learned it made for a great trip. I will definitelly recomend it!! All and all it was an awesome day!

Good history lesson with a nice hike!

I really enjoyed the hike with a small group of people from London and Renata, our guide. I don’t know a lot about Brazilian history, but she filled us in before starting the hike through the forest. There were some inclines through the hike, but Renata was patient and waited for people like me that were a slower and ensured we all enjoyed the hike and learned even more about Brazilian history and the Tijuca rainforest.
