Ulysses was an excellent tour guide who showed us Copacabana beach and downtown Rio. He animated the activity with his personal life experience, thus making it personal. Was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!

This was a fun bike ride through various neighborhoods of Rio. Though the route had to be changed due to the carnival street parties it was still a great time. Douglas was our bike leader and he provided interesting commentary and kept a relaxed pace. There were plenty of stops along the way. We are in our late 60s and found this to be a fun way to see Rio from a different perspective.

This was a great experience with an amazing guide. We thought that the bikes could be upgraded to make the tour even better. Iris the guide had great knowledge of the city and its history and made it very interesting.

We had a wonderful half day being lead around the sights and sounds of Rio. Our guide Marko was very friendly and spoke excellent English. The pace was just right with a lovely scenic drink stop. We had a small group of 6 turn up and shared our travels together during the social ride. Really enjoyed thanks.

Douglas was an awesome guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It made Rio seem much more alive for us, and we saw many beautiful and amazing sites. I’m still in awe of the cannonball tree. We highly recommend it.

Really recommend this bike tour. Felt like I got under the ‘skin’ of Rio by cycling through the various parts of the city and being taken to some amazing spots and learning the history/facts our guide talked through .
A little hectic at times on the busy streets, but this is a very small part of the ride. If you are a nervous cyclist or have too young/inexperienced children on bikes this is not for you. We had a 12&14 year old s and they loved it - as did we!

A wonderful tour to get acquainted with the city in a relaxed way. Plenty of opportunity to admire the bay and enjoy the well-known highlights. Experienced guide, telling interesting facts and anecdotes about this amazing city.
Absolutely a must for everybody with at least basic bike-riding skills.

Overall a pleasant bike ride with brief stops along the way introducing some popular spots of Rio. Most of the routes were on bike lanes, but there were certain sections that were either slightly uphill or riding along with the busy city traffic. Nothing too strenuous or daunting though.

Really nice experience, Rio can be a busy city but our guide took us through some easy sites whilst getting some exercise around a great city.bikes are okay easy to ride it’s not that strenuous honestly.

I wanted to write a review to help others set expectations.
It's a good bike ride. I probably should have made it clear that we wanted a tour and an experience and not just a bike ride.
Our group had two members that rode slow so we ended up riding as two groups where the guide and two members were about 5 min ahead and they would stop and wait. Then as soon as the last two would arrive, the guide would leave.
Most guides will help find great picture spots. Needless to say, we have one picture of our family from the ~16 miles we rode together. I can find lots of explanations, but the fact remains we had a family of four with a single guide and there was only one spot by Sugar Loaf where the guide took a picture of my family.
It really felt like the goal was riding the bike and not touring the city as a group with a guide that can provide insights about history, etc.
So, if you want a great bike ride, either rent your own bikes or take this bike ride tour.
But, if you want an experience where you get the feeling like you got to see something you couldn't see on your own, then this may not be the tour for you.

The tour was fun and our guide imparted lots of interesting information. It stared to rain near the end of the tour and the guide pulled out ponchos for those who did not have jackets

Excellent tour with Max. English speaking guide. Provided great history on Rio and was very pleasant. It was only two of us in the tour. 4 hours in length. He makes stops if you need them. Definitely not for the disabled or those with severe knee and back conditions. I would recommend 100%. Thank you max!!

This was a fantastic way to begin my Rio experiences. The tour guy was fantastic starting from the bike shop to the Copacabana/Sugar Loft Mountain to the back streets. Don't forget the wonderful drinking coconut juice.

The tour was incredible, took you all over the main tourist spots. Beautiful scenery with history and culture. Not difficult at all, pretty much flat with some up and down but the scenery is incredible. A really cool way to see Rio! A must do! Thank you Max!

What a fantastic way to see a few of the sights of Rio. Max was an excellent guide and set the pace to s very manageable one. We had z flat tyrecwhich was mended very efficiently and the time it took was added to the enc of the tour. It has left us with more time to experience the culture of Rio and good advice on visiting Christ the Redeemer and Suga loaf. Strongly recommend it

We were so pleased when Julia was guiding just the 2 of us thru some city streets which have bike lanes and bike paths for 30 km small group biking on busy city streets is mandatory in our opinion. She was very considerate and conscientious for our safety, and informative on the city's history a bit too much history for us in our opinion. You can see so much of the city on this bike tour, although Rio does get hot by mid day. Highly recommend this tour with Julia

Our guide Philip was fantastic. A former journalist, he has excellent knowledge of Rio. We loved his stories. He attended closely to group safety But the number one reason we give you a thumbs up, Philip, is the way you helped us when I ran into trouble with the Rio heat. Philip took care of our bikes and helmets and hailed us a taxi. He was so kind. Philip, you are the best!

Probably the best value tour for the money in Rio. I suggest you do this early in your trip to get a good overview. Great way to see the city, we covered a lot of ground and there are some great bike paths
