We do the tour, rain or shine. The day of the tour is chosen by the customer, therefore no refund will be generated in case of bad weather. We will do the tour rain or shine.
Pick-ups in Barra da Tijuca and Recreio are not included.
On days with a higher flow of tourists or in the presence of especially heavy traffic conditions, we can adopt the use of specific meeting points for picking up customers. This choice is made to ensure a more efficient organization of the tour, reducing the waiting times and inconveniences caused by traffic. Therefore, we invite our customers to read this note carefully to be informed and prepared.
The time indicated at the time of booking is only indicative. The day before the tour, we will contact you via WhatsApp or via the booking platform to confirm the exact time of pickup.
During peak season, we work exclusively with designated meeting points for better logistical organization, as many streets may be closed due to events such as Carnival, New Year's Eve, or other external factors. The meeting points start in Ipanema and end in Lapa.
During Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, the tour will be offered in the Rio Express format due to the closure of downtown streets for Carnival parades. The Rio Express tour includes : Guided tour of Christ the Redeemer (entrance included), Guided tour of Sugarloaf Mountain (entrance included), Specialized guide and transportation. Please note that there will be no refunds for changes to the tour format.

Dishonest tour operator

They changed the tour from 8 hours to 4 hours citing traffic concerns. But there weee hardly any extra traffic beyond the usual. We paid for lunch plus the afternoon’s attractions and had to ask for a refund. The refunded only $25 from a $140 tour that is cut in half. Do not go with this company at all cost.

Great Tour and sites

Our Guide did a great job getting us to all the sites and getting great photos. This was a great trip to see some of the iconic sites in Rio. Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Cathedral, and more.

The tour was basically hopeless. The van was filled to capacity and if you were in the back part of the bus , you could not hear any commentary at all. Mind you there wasn’t that much anyway. The microphone was inadequate for the bus and when turned up gave an echo that distorted the sound. A main requirement for any bus tour is a clear commentary. Our guide ( lady with the red hat ) gave very little overview of the background or the history and beginnings of each stop. We were dropped off at each location and told to return to the pickup points at the designated time after minutes allowed. Very little or no overview at all. . The bus broke down ( although another bus did arrive fairly quickly after the lunch. ) The food at the lunch was plentiful but all very lukewarm. You pay for any drinks. All in all you could have done this tour by yourself with a taxi , skip the lunch and save yourself some money. Other guests privately told us the same thing. A pity because the tour if done properly could have been good. I noticed previous reviews were very good . Guess we copped a poor one . Suggest try another company.

This number was in line with the shared tour you had reserved. We understand that choosing between a shared tour and a private one can be a tough decision. It's all about priorities, isn't it? You can either pay a little and still enjoy an excellent tour experience like ours with fellow travelers, or you can pay significantly more for the privilege of having a private tour all to yourself. Tour was fantastic included lunch not so much

The tour guide, driver and the tour were 5 stars fantastic. The places we saw Christ the Redeemer, the magnificent Presbyterian Cathedral, the colourful steps and the cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain were amazing. The only downside was the restaurant for lunch it was horrible. The food was very below average, couldn’t understand the food labels although some I recognised others definitely not. While it didn’t look appetising it didn’t taste nice either. There were so many people pushing and shoving to get to buffets it was not enjoyable. You had to get your food first and then while your food is going cold try to find somewhere to sit. Definitely not good value for money. Would have been much more enjoyable going to an authentic Churriscaria restaurant.

One day in Rio

The whole tour was rushed. The time to stop at each spot was less than advertised. We had to ask to go to the aqueduct. Otherwise the spot would be skipped. However, the guide did work hard to gather all the people in the group.

You can find a better tour

I recommend skipping the full day tour and just finding a half-day that visits Sugar Loaf and Corcavado. The lunch was only so-so, and the places visited in the afternoon added nothing to the trip. Take an Uber to the central area and you can spend all the time you want seeing the worthwhile sights that were part of the afternoon. The stadium and Sambadrome were like visiting abandoned East German era buildings - a waste of time.

But to say that the sambodromo and the maracanã, symbols of the city of rio de janeiro, are just old buildings from east germany, seems to me an exaggeration. We respect your thoughts, however. Englisch gebucht - Portugiesisch bekommen

Ganz nett - wenn man Portugiesisch spricht. Hatten die Tour in Englisch gebucht, aber waren die einzigen Ausländer. Der Guide war zwar ein netter Typ, hat aber kaum Informationen zu den einzelnen Orten gegeben. Sein Englisch war bestenfalls mittelmäßig. In den ersten 3 Stunden wurden wir eigentlich nur durch die Stadt gefahren ohne etwas nennenswertes zu sehen oder zu erfahren. Dann Christus-Statue und Zuckerhut. Beides beeindruckend, hätte man aber auch alleine besuchen können.
