During Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, the tour will be offered in the Rio Express format due to the closure of downtown streets for Carnival parades. The Rio Express tour includes : Guided tour of Christ the Redeemer (entrance included), Guided tour of Sugarloaf Mountain (entrance included), Specialized guide and transportation. Please note that there will be no refunds for changes to the tour format.
There is no shuttle service to Recreio and Barra

Hello Ana! The City Tour in Rio de Janeiro was a captivating experience, largely thanks to our guide, "Mini Guia" Roberto. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the journey. Roberto's anecdotes and insights about the city's landmarks, such as Christ The Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the iconic Celaron Steps, truly enhanced the tour. However, a slight drawback was the timing. I felt that if we had started the tour a bit earlier, it would have allowed for a more leisurely exploration of the main attractions. Spending an additional 10 minutes at each landmark, especially the aforementioned iconic spots, would have been ideal. The desire for more time at these key locations stems from their significance and the wish to absorb the breathtaking views and cultural richness they offer fully. Despite this minor concern, the overall experience deserves a commendable 4/5 rating. The beauty of Rio de Janeiro and its landmarks is undeniable, and the tour provided valuable insights into the city's history and culture. Roberto, however, goes above and beyond. His passion for the city and commitment to making the tour memorable exceeded expectations, earning him a stellar 6/5 rating. His personal touch transformed the tour into an unforgettable adventure. The food? 3/5. Overcrowded buffet… at the end of a very long 8 hr day. We are lunch at 2:30p while we started the day at 07:30! Thanks.

Our guide Louis was very competent with good knowledge of the history of the city. He shared a lot of interesting facts about Rio de Janeiro with us. His English is excellent and we felt very comfortable with his guidance. He answered all our questions.

Long day tour, be ready......

Excellent Tour guide, he was very profesional. Spent time to pick up and drop off, guests from different hotels took too much time, around one hour per trip. The restaurant choice for lunch, it was horrible, and cheap. Terrible service and very poor meal quality.

To begin with the time of pick up in the hotel was 8am the tour guide show up around 9am, yes meanwhile she sent me an email saying she will be late and the arrival should be at 8h40, ok but in holydays Im not seeing the emails in the computer. Meanwhile the hotel reception tried to contact the tour operator Thiago Lemos but the phone was out of zone. Than I have asked a tour guide in portuguese and she spoke in Spanish. Well the tour guide was really of very low grade she didnt explain anything just took us to the places and told us the time we should meet at a place to return. In previous tours I made in other countries with Viator the tour guides were very good and they bought the entry tickets before hand so we didnt have to wait longtime for entering not in this tour. Finnally the restaurant was unacceptable, to crowded food no good and very bad restrooms not enough for a very crowded restaurant not clean, smelling bad. Well terrible experience.
