I booked the tour as we were in town overnight on a cruise ship. Michael was very knowledgable of the area and the pedi cab was a great way to see the sites. We had a nice pace and stopped often to hear some history and easily passed 3 1/2 hours of time. Don’t hesitate to book this. It’s a great way to see lots and save your feet.

      Best Way to Explore Rio

      This is probably one of the best ways to explore Rio de Janeiro and discover its rich history. We truly enjoyed the ride with Michael, who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate while guiding us through this fascinating city. The entire experience was very well organised and felt relaxed, comfortable, and engaging from start to finish.       Michael was a fantastic tour guide. Very knowledgeable about history and current events. We covered a large area of Rio that we would have not been able to do if we were walking. He was also open to answering questions we had about the country. Highly recommend this tour!!

      A very unique way to experience Rio!

      This tour was an awesome way to experience the sights and sounds of Rio.  Because of the time of our visit (Saturday before Mardi Gras/Carnaval), it was a special treat to see how everyday Brazilians celebrate Carnaval.  Touring on a pedicab is so much more fun than sitting on a tour bus that can't get close to some places.  We arrived on a cruise ship and Michael was kind enough to pick us up at the cruise terminal.  Michael also did a superb job of navigating through the crowds to show us highlights and share his knowledge of landmarks and history.  We saw many, many friendly people who had been partying since early morning. Most were in skimpy costumes, and a few were even sober!  At first, I was a little reluctant to use my phone to take photos but then I felt completely safe to just start snapping pics...I wish I had taken more.  If you have a bad back, be aware that the route may be over cobblestone streets and be a bit bumpy.  I really recommend this tour and hope when you visit Rio, you will be adventurous and try this very unique way to see the city.

      Different way to see the city

      This was our second visit to Rio and Mike took us to places we had not been to before. The pedicab is great and being on the back, I was able to see the reactions of people as we went by. Mike was able to pick us up and drop us back to the cruise port, which was great. We will definitely get in touch with Mike, when we visit Rio again!!

      Michael was a great guide and he tried hard for me to get the best value, also created beautiful photo opportunities . His knowledge in Brazil and Rio history was amazing, and he also had a lot of local tips. We have covered a lot of places that I would not be able to do myself on the foot. I felt very safe the whole time, and truly enjoyed the ride.

      Awesome tour of Lapa and...

      Awesome tour of Lapa and the surrounding areas. 6 of us including grandparents and kids (5 and 8yo) so it’s hard to find a tour and pace that make everyone happy but this did the trick! Michael and Carlos were awesome guides. We covered a lot of ground and didn’t have to sweat in the heat to get there like with a walking tour. The kids loved being on the bikes and Michael narrated as we went so I didn’t have to spend half the time corralling children and was able to actually listen and learn. My parents have been to Rio nearly 20 times and Michael took us to places they’d never seen. He also tailored the stops to things he thought would interest us. We mostly stayed out of the sun (bonus with our post-beach day sunburns) and Michael provided water at the first stop and checked in periodically to see if we wanted more. I asked him to make sure we had a couple chances for the kids to go to the bathroom and he obliged :) He also pointed out places we might want to come back and spend more time and even offered to send us a list of them on WhatsApp. Plus, it only took the morning and we still have time for beach/pool in the afternoon :) Overall awesome…would definitely recommend!

      Highly recommend! It was very informative and filled with all kinds of sites. Since it's still carnaval time, we passed through a lot of party crowds but it was all with ease and we even made stops and watched people dancing and enjoying life.

      Michael was a great guide. He knows good an nice places and views where you are a bit aside the mainstream tourist routes. He is very flexible with the places to go and how long you want to stay there. He knows a lot about the history of town. He showed us nice shops an exibitions with wonderfull art. He was really helpfull to get our postcard to a post office, as we were not able to find stamps. We recommend this tour to couples or small groups because you will have a great time with Michael! We would give 6 Stars, if possible.

      Michael’s pedicab tour of historical Rio de Janeiro was incredible. His commentary was informative, detailed and enjoyable. The ride through central Rio was never rushed, instead it was the most relaxed, unique and fun tour we have ever taken. Michael took us to numerous historical and tourist sites without having to deal with queues. Taking a pedicab beats walking, especially in the heat and humidity. Overall, I highly recommend Michael and his Pedicab Tour! Thanks Michael for an awesome morning!

      Great Historical City Center Rio Visit Via Pedicab

      Michael’s pedicab tour of downtown Rio, including its waterfront and port area, was exactly what we wanted. It was an easy and flexible way to visit and learn about downtown Rio, its history, and evolution, especially because it was hot and we did not want to walk too much. We were able to stop easily at locations (historic and recently developed) selected by Michael or by us. While he speaks Portuguese, Michael’s first language is English, so it was easy for us to understand each other. He is very knowledgeable about Rio, its downtown locations, and Brazil generally. He took great photos of us whenever we asked. Michael’s pedicab tour was a wonderful way for us to visit downtown Rio.

      Excellent visit of rhe center of Rio. Really fun expérience on the vélotaxi. We made smille lots of people in the street. The guid was really good and he did a complet tour of the center with lots of explanations. The best way to visit many places in the center that would be impossible by walk ! I highly recommend him.
