Itinerary

Important: Please see information in bold lyrics about itinerary change

Meet your guide in central Prague and after a safety briefing, put on the provided helmet and enjoy a familiarization session on your self-balancing, two-wheeled, electric Segway.

Once you feel comfortable riding the eco-friendly device, set off behind your guide on your 2-hour city tour. With no tiring walking or pedals to push, riding on a Segway is one of the easiest ways to discover the city’s many, magnificent sights.

Zip along the elegant streets and make regular photo stops to capture the landmarks on camera. Cruise around the cobbled lanes of Prague Old Town to admire the Gothic and Romanesque architecture, and meander around Old Town Square — the glorious cobbled square that served as Prague’s main marketplace during medieval times.

See the Astronomical Clock and Old Town Hall, and steer your Segway into adjoining Small Town Square, a pocket-sized version of its larger neighbor. Inspect the decorative fountain and handsome mansions here, and swing by the Charles Bridge, the city’s famous stone bridge lined with baroque statues.

Glide toward Prague Castle to take in views of the gigantic walled complex, and listen fascinated as your guide shares details of its 9th century origins and the Czech monarchs who were crowned inside it walls.

Pass by a host of other sights, and lastly, head back to your starting point, where your Segway tour finishes.

Important: The itinerary above has been affected by the restriction of the Segway in the historical center. Until there is a final resolution from the government this tour will be done via segway outside the historical center, with below itinerary:

The tour begins at Prague 5

New Route:

* Sacre Coeur Park
* Kinsky Square
* Strahov Stadium
* Landronka Park
* Brevnov Monastery
* Strahov Monastery

If you wish to take the historical tour, you could do this via electric scooter and the meeting point is the same as it used to be for Segway in the city center for the same rate. Please inform at the moment of booking which option you would like to choose.

Dangerous and Disappointing!

Ellen_F, Jul 2018
Definitely not as advertised, even with the disclaimer about not being able to tour the old city center. They did not inform us that we would be taken 45 minutes from the old city to some suburban location. where we were given the oldest segways I have every seen. Many were in disrepair and didn't operate in a straight path. Our party of eight was given less than 5 minutes of instruction each. We only saw one of the items listed as the tour, and we were expected to get back to the city center on our own. We didn't even know where we were. Our guide was a very nice young man but he was more concerned about hi segways than us. He did pay out of his own pocket for our tram fares back into Prague. The owner was not willing to make any accomodation for the substandard tour. This was a complete waste of half a day! We've done segway tours through Viator in many cities throughout Europe before and always had a positive experience. This was the worst!

Do not book this tour of you want to segway to the sites listed on the website. Due to the restrictions in the city the segways no longer go to the major attractions. Whilst the website says the tour is impacted it does not give clarity that they actually do NOT go to the sites We were offered electronic scooter/bikes instead - however 2 of the group of 4 were not comfortable with this solution. My read of the websites implied that they went to the sites, but had to go via an alternate route outside of the old town. I am now out of pocket and when I challenge the operator I got the 'its not us, its the booking agency'

I cannot even rate this tour because we waited where we were told to pickup tour for over an hour after arriving 1/2 hour early to insure we were on time. We were at pickup booth and we texted supposedly tour guide who said they were on way and never showed up and then apologized for missing us. We were also informed by other travelers that segway tours are not even allowed in city so I feel we were scammed and paid a lot of money for something we did not receive. I hold Viator responsible as they should be aware of this.

Please be aware that this is NOT a city tour and instead they take you thru a park, unfortunately we were not informed that segways are banned in city center. I have booked multiple tours in Viator and this has been my worst experience, complete waste of money.

I love the Segway. Although I had already seen the site, doing it again on a Segway provided some new angles and perspectives. A most enjoyable tour.

The segways were fun, but unfortunately my family and I did not get the chance to take the tour. The segways weren't as easy as they look. We felt that they were scary, and unsafe. Only people who know how to ride them I guess will love the tour.

Andrew A, Jul 2015
The segways were a nice way to see Prague. Our guide did not speak English very well and did not have much knowledge about all the important historical sites. Still a great way to get started in Prague and determine which sites you'd like to explore in more depth later.

Brian T. Walsh W, Dec 2014
We road segways in Paris and Nice and both tours were fabulous. Sad to say, the Prague segway tour was disappointing. The city of Prague is way too congested to accommodate segways and the citizens of Prague will be happy when segways are no longer allowed on their sidewalks and streets.

The Segway tour in Prague was wonderful. There were four of us in our group, plus the guide, Natalie. She was patient with us first timers, and we quickly got the hang of the vehicle. The tour through Prague was all encompassing, and we saw the usual tourist sights. Stops along the way for resting and viewing. Would recommend for the adventurous. Great way to see the city without getting tired from walking. Natalie was a great guide as well.

The tour was great! There were only two people including myself and we got very special attention. Our tour guide Natalia was enthusiastic and very friendly and showed us everything we wanted to see and more.Natalia is very knowledgeable every thing in the city. Regards

Sarah P, Nov 2013
We had previously done a segway tour a week prior to this so our guide just took our word for it and started. I thought maybe he should have done even a little training. It was raining and cold which was not a good idea on the segways since you don't move your body it's freezing! we went up lots of hills in a park which was quite scary since you have to lean forward into the hill. Coming down is just as bad too. I prefer flat ground for segways. Our guide also didn't say much at all which was disappointing, he seemed to just want to smoke his pipe (which i didn't think appropriate for a tour guide) and talk on his phone for a bit whilst we just followed. We stopped at a few things where he would mention a couple of facts but to be honest with the weather we just wanted to be inside and warm. I'm sure it would've been much nicer in the sunshine.

Great tour thanks to a great guide...

Great tour thanks to a great guide, thanks to Joakim (not sure about the spelling). We had only 4 in the group and after a very quick lesson we were on our way. Joakim was very knowledgeable, informative and passionate of Prague. It was the best way to see the highlights in the shortest time. The Segway tour encouraged us to do another one in Europe late in our trip.

Pontus_L, Jul 2013
It was very fun to ride the Segway through the streets of Prague and up to the castle, but the guiding part was very lacking. Our guide hardly said anything about the part of the city we was in and what buildings or sites we went past. When we asked questions we felt that we knew more about the places than she did just from reading a little on Wikipedia. I would recommend looking around the main square and compare prices there are many competing Segway companies in Prague, you see them almost everywhere. I'm sure you could find a better price and better guiding if that is what you are after.

Mark C, Nov 2012
Great experience. Had a lot of fun and the best way to get an overview of Prague itself. Suggest they install a bell on each segway though for safety reasons. Alex (Sasha) our Segway leader was as good as they come.Again, have to re-iterate the safety aspect of a bell.

Annie K, Oct 2012
Absolutley brilliant fun for all ages and fitness levels (I am 55 and unco, but found mastering the segway easy). Guide fabulous and was flexible to suit our desires, took us to some stunning photo points. Segway transport is the best way of window shopping I've yet found!!! This tour is an absolute must for any Prague trip for it to be complete. Annie and Annya. Australia Sept 2012

Jon, Oct 2012
This is the BEST tour of all. Adam, our tour guide, just took 5 minutes to teach the three of us how to ride the Segway. He also coached us on how to safely go uphill, downhill and how to negotiated uneven surfaces. He got our camera and took pictures and videos while riding the Segway backwards. This tour is highly recommended and we told our colleagues who will take the tour also

Doug M, Jul 2012
Segway was lots of fun but the guide didn't know much about the history of Prague even though he was born there. The brief Segway training session should be planned better.

excellent tour , nice tour guide , very enjoyable,for a first time, even thou some of our group fell ,it still was very good.

Joel, Nov 2011
excelent tour with excellent guide and many interesting sights we otherwise would not have seen. The weather was unexpectedly cold -- so I would suggest being sure to dress warm enough. Also be aware that this tour involved navigaging the segway up and down fairly steep hills.

The actual segway tour was...

Linda L, Aug 2011
The actual segway tour was wonderful. Our guide, Andrea, went above and beyond and was very enthusiast about sharing information about Prague with us. We had some initial problems getting to the correct location - we checked in where we were told and were sent to an address outside of the city center - then got a phone call that we were supposed to start very near our hotel - so we wasted a couple of hours going to and back from the wrong location.

Colette B, Jun 2011
Tracking down the tickets from the collection point was a bit of a pain and the Segway Office was a long way out of the centre of Prague which ate up a lot of time when you are only on a short visit. Nevertheless was enjoyable. 8/10

Terry L W, Sep 2010
The meeting point was changed from the Hard Rock to the Segway Office 30 minutes by taxi in some suburb.. Had difficult time finding it. Tour guide was Good, but traveling on a Segway is the only way to see Prague. You can cover more ground in a short period of time than any other means. Great value!!!
