What a terrific experience. The Prague Castle is impressive and steeped in history. And the whole experience came alive because of our wonderful guide, Eva. She was a wealth of knowledge and a very pleasant and personable individual. We felt immediately at ease with her. By the end of our tour she seemed like just another member of our family. She gave us a great lunch recommendation and made herself available if we had more questions during our trip. I cannot recommend this tour, and Eva in particular, any higher.

Our guide Teresa was incredible. She customized the tour to our interests, had so much knowledge about the sights and neighborhoods and it was wonderful getting to know a local. She also knew how to maximize our tour so we spent as little time waiting in lines as possible.

It was a very cold day to visit the castle but yet we enjoyed it, all thanks to our tour guide Pavel. He was not only informative but also patient to answer all the questions the kids asked. We were 3 families with kids aged between 9-11 years, We recommend it!

Had a wonderful experience with Matej. He made an overwhelming maze of buildings and streets a breeze to visit efficiently and provided lots of interesting historical information, both inside and outside the structures, as we walked. He was friendly and kept offering to take our pictures at all the best viewpoints. We couldn't visit the Old Royal Palace owing to government events, but he thought quickly and replaced that stop on the tour with Queen Anne's Summer Place, which had a nice garden and a view overlooking the places we had just been. He guided us back across the river and deposited us at the doorstep of a perfect lunch spot that he recommended. He answered all our questions and helped us plan an itinerary for the next day of our trip. Even with all the research I did ahead of time, he told me of interesting places to visit that were not on my radar. He not only made this particular tour great, but really helped the next day of my trip be better too. He texted us throughout the day, giving us the names of places he told us about or recommended. I definitely recommend this tour - doing it on the first day of your trip would really set you up for a successful visit.

This was a great tour. You get so much more out of a private tour. Eva was a fantastic guide. She not only gave us a tour of every building within the largest Castle complex but also a sense of the people past and present. Did you know that King Wenceslas from the Christmas song was really a Duke? It was little tidbits like that which was so great. Eva’s personality really made the tour great.

Our private guide responded to all of our questions in detail. She pointed out things related to our questions and to the interests we expressed as we toured the Prague Castle complex. She is extremely knowledgeable about Prague Castle, the Czech rulers, and the history of the whole Czech Republic. We sat in St. George's Basilica for 20 minutes listening to her share the Czech history and the roles the Castle, St Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and the Basilica served in the history of her country.
We highly recommend this Viator tour through Lucytours. It was a memorable, educational and very personal tour.

Having a smaller tour experince is the way to go. Our guide was knowledgeable and flexible. A great way to see the Prague Castle.
If you go in the summer, highly suggest starting at 9am (we started at 10 and it was hot and crowded).

Our tour guide Albi was a wonderful guide. She lead us through the castle grounds with interesting stories from many ages, all the way up to ww2 and through many of the historic grounds in the castle complex. That being said, we were a little disappointed not to see as many places as we expected. We expected to see more of the palaces as this was a private tour, but the majority of our tour took place in the castle cathedral which was beautiful but also very much under scaffolding and construction. It's our own fault that we didn't notice that next to the descriptions of palaces we were seeing, that we would merely pass by. A word of caution to potential customers, carefully read your tour descriptions!

We toured Prague castle with Martin and it was fabulous. He met us on time and exactly were planned, was thoughtful about finding shade during a hot day in Prague and was patient in answering all of our questions. He timed our tour perfectly so that we missed the crowds in all the hot spots, and enabled us to catch the changing of the guard at noon. He also provided additional tips for our stay which we put into use immediately. Martin was informative, passionate about sharing what he knew, and understanding of our slight case of jet lag while on tour.

Great tour with well informed and engaging guide. Matt Made a complicated era of unfamiliar history clear and interesting. When we ended up with extra time because the site was not crowded, Matt took us to other parts of the city which he thought would be interesting for us.

There is no better way to fully appreciate the Prague Castle complex and its history than with an experienced, well informed guide. Hannah directed my attention to things I would have missed, and provided the history and meaning behind the overwhelming number of things to see. She explained the medieval and Renaissance history, art, royalty, conflicts, religions, and architecture. I have a full appreciation for the rich history of this truly amazing and unique place. Our walking tour of Prague Castle was an unforgettable experience, and our guide made it even better. She was incredibly knowledgeable, providing us with fascinating historical details about the castle and its surroundings. What stood out the most was how she engaged with us throughout the tour, answering all of our questions, even when they were off-script. The palace and surrounding grounds are vast. We took a private guided tour and learned so many interesting facts. The pace was great, catered to the very cold day, and in each building small details were pointed out.

Adequate tour, but a bit disconnected. Tour was fine and we experienced many nice locations of the castle, but we felt we also could have gotten the same information from an audio tour. For the price, I would not do the tour again.

Hi Robert (Bob), I was your guide around the Castle . I am very sorry to read that you didn't enjoy the tour. I always try to share all information about our history and the Castle according to the interest of the clients. I am very much open to all questions. We saw all the sites without wasting time in lines although every place was very crowded. Unfortunately the cathedral was closed at first due to a St. Stephen 's mass and we had to come back to this site. The Cathedral is a functioning church and services are held there. Nevertheless we saw this site as well. The weather was also very nice and sunny that day, which is very nice in winter.

Jana was amazing! She greeted me very warmly and was excited to show me around Prague Castle as well as tell me more about her wonderful city. She was patient and knowledgable and very down to Earth. The Prague Castle was quite extensive and she was able to walk me through it like a storybook. We started early which was a good decision to beat most of the crowds but it sure was cold! She even walked me to the subway and gave me tips on how to ride it around the city as well as personal recommendations for restaurants and things to do. If/when I ever return, I will be sure to do another tour with this company and hopefully request Jana.
