Pompei is an amazing experience - so well preserved by the volcanic ash and rocks some of the artwork is still amazing. A truly huge site the experience does require a knowledgeable guide. Frankie who led our small group was hugely knowledgeable but enhanced that by delivering his insights with great warmth and humour. He had an anecdote or nugget of information for every aspect of the visit. He made the experience fascinating and entertaining- if you plan to visit see if you can have him as your guide. You won’t regret it!

An incredible experience, I highly recommend immersing yourself into Pompeii. Our tour guide, Sasa, knew everything there is to know about the history of the city! We booked a 2.5 hour tour and my regret is that it wasn’t longer. There is so much to see and learn. Sasa made the most of the time we had. This tour is a must!

We enjoyed our tour of Pompeii. The company sent a van to pick us up in Positano and then drove us to Pompeii. There were only nine people on our tour so we were able to hear our guide clearly and could ask questions as needed. We were given a few minutes here and there to take photos but kept a brisk pace throughout the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. However, we were only given a few minutes in the museum portion of the site and no time in the bookstore. My husband and I are both educators and would like to have gotten some books to bring back for our classrooms. This was our first trip to Pompeii. I do recommend this tour, but be aware that it’s packed full and little time is given to explore on your own.

It was a rainy day but our tour guide, Frankie, did an excellent job. He knew where to go when the rain came and where to go in the dry periods with ease. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining.
Transportation back to the hotel was perfect - less than an hour drive. However, the gentleman on pickup came 30 minutes early with no notice other than a What’s Ap at 10:30 and I was not near my phone. When the hotel called and said he was there, we had to run to catch him to prevent him from leaving us. Because he had to pick up 2 other couples at separate hotels in Sorrento, the trip took 1 hour and 40 minutes. It was a bad start but Frankie and the return driver were excellent.

Great experience with pick up and drop off! This tour was kind of short only being 2 hours. We got a lot in but also felt like we went all the way there for not a lot of time in Pompeii. Also really wished we would’ve had the radios with headphones for this tour. It was hard for our guide to talk to the whole group as we are walking.

Frankie was our tour guide and did a fantastic job with retelling the history of the eruption while waiting in line and the two hours once inside Pompeii. We also got a couple goodies at the end. Our driver did a great job as well.

Our guide, Frankie, was very knowledgeable and friendly. His deep experience guiding tourists through the Pompeii complex was very evident as he was able to navigate our small group through the area avoiding the peak rush. He also made sure to avoid the blazing sun and found cool, shaded spots to stop and explain things and point out interesting aspects.
Our drivers to and from the complex were great too. The company was very accommodatingwhen we asked to be dropped off at a particular spot in naples(different than our pickup spot)

Our guided tour of Pompeii with Salvatore – or Sasa, as he introduced himself – was exceptional. His deep knowledge of Pompeii’s history brought the ancient ruins to life, providing rich context and fascinating details at every turn. Wonderful experience, amazing site, great staff and tour guide (Angelo). Highly recommend. There is a lot of walking, and it was very hot, but totally worth every penny. Bring your sunscreen and hat and be amazed at the history!

Would definitely recommend this. This tour was nice and pickup was very close to the hotel. Keep in mind most hotels in Positano cannot be reached by car so I reached out to the operator a few days ahead and asked about the pick up location and it was as close to the hotel as one could get on the road. We were picked up shortly before 8am and drove to Pompei along with 6 other guests. Once at Pompei we were introduced to our tour guide and skipped the line and entered right into the the archeological site. Our guide did a good job pointing out important sights and explaining the significance and history behind not just the eruption but also the city and its origins and importance. I was really interested in seeing the casts of the bodies that were found and our guide made sure to include those on our tour as well. We got back to the hotel around 1pm. I would definitely recommend this if you've wanted to see Pompeii!

Really great tour of Pompeii. Informative and inclusive. Our guide, Sasa, brought humor and knowledge, and allowed time for pictures and questions. He also had great awareness of the other groups to make sure it was a positive experience and we could fully experience all of the sites. He was the best tour guide of our trip.

Sasa was a great tour guide and really elevated the experience in Pompeii. He provided historical context to Pompeii that really made you feel like you understood what life was like for the citizens of Pompeii in the first century. Guests do need to understand though that this trip from Positano (start to finish) could very well be 7 hours long due to traffic and multiple drop off locations in the private car. We were expecting a much shorter trip.

Fantastic tour! The whole team made us feel welcome right from the start. We were pick up right on time by Emanuele and headed out into Pompei with a friendly and knowledgeable guide, Frankie. Frankie took his time without small group to engage with everyone and answered all of our questions in a way that made it clear he knows his history of the region.
One thing to note, we also used Emanuele and his team for a transfer from Positano to Naples to get to the airport and train. This is the way to go. One you book a tour with Emanuele and team just use them for all your tour and transport needs.
We’re looking forward to coming back and touring with them again.
