Discover the highlights of the Amalfi Coast by water when you embark on this intimate, full-day boat tour. Meet in the morning in Positano or Praiano, and set sail via private vessel. From there, enjoy a rare perspective on the region’s top attractions, from the Marina di Praia Beach and the cliffs of Fiordo di Furore to the Emerald Grotto (entry own expense). In Amalfi you will have 1.5 hours to spend to discover the city and even go for a swim.

Positano Boats is located on the main Beach of Positano called Spiaggia Grande. It is where you could find us under our blue and white gazebo. The meeting point will be at 9:30 am. Please, come to the meeting point at least 10 minutes prior to the tour departure.

- Subject to favourable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or a full refund.
- Check-in at our stand, easily recognizable by the “Positano Boats” sign, is required 10 minutes before departure. The tour is scheduled to depart from Positano at 9:30 AM.
- To take with you: sunscreen, bathing suit, sunglasses, hat, jacket, flip-flops
- Restaurant information: Please note that the restaurant option is available from May 14th to October 4th at La Gavitella. The lunch is not included in the tour price. The cost typically ranges between €35 and €50 per person. Payments can be made directly at the restaurant by card (including American Express) or in cash. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options are also available. During periods when the restaurant is not available, the stop in Amalfi will last approximately 3 hours, giving you plenty of time to enjoy lunch in town at your leisure.
- Emerald Grotto information: Please note that the entrance ticket is not included in the tour price (approximately €10 per person), and the visit to the Emerald Grotto is optional, giving you the freedom to decide whether to explore its stunning interior. The grotto is not managed by our company but by an independent organization, Azienda Autonoma Soggiorno e Turismo di Amalfi. Tickets can be purchased directly on site, and the price may vary at their discretion. Guests who do not wish to visit the grotto can remain comfortably on board during the stop. During high season, waiting times may be longer, typically around 20–30 minutes or more. For this reason, the decision to visit the grotto is made collectively with all guests on board.

Everything was perfect. We were able to visit everything without feeling rushed. Time management was great. The only bad thing was the terrible—borderline hostile- service at the beach club restaurant, which was not the fault of the boat crew. Our group was small and everyone was comfortable.

We had an amazing excursion with Sebastian who captains, Positano Boats. This was an incredible day. Sebastian gave us information & history along our boat ride from Positano, Praino and Amalfi. We swam in the Mediterranean Sea, toured Amalfi, & stopped at a beautiful, beachfront restaurant, called La Gavitella! Sebastian had cold drinks, snacks & Lemoncello spritzers for everyone. This will definitely be the highlight of the trip. Book the boat, you won’t regret it! Thank you Sebastian for a great day at sea.

This is the most fun you’ll ever have! We had the absolute best day on Sebastian’s boat. The boat is huge and we never felt cramped. We visited so many great swimming spots along the coast. The views are unreal. He is an excellent driver and we felt super safe. The prosecco and limoncello are a nice addition. I do think it should be noted the prosecco is served one time it’s not available the whole day. We grabbed drinks at the restaurant too which were not included. Totally fine just wanted to mention! If you are looking for a boat day do this one!!

Such a great experience! The views of the Amalfi Coast from the boat were unreal, and stopping to swim in the crystal-clear water was definitely a highlight. The drinks were a nice bonus, and the small group made it feel relaxed instead of crowded.
The restaurant we stopped at for lunch was phenomenal! delicious food with an incredible view. It ended up being one of the best meals of our trip.
The Captian was awesome—friendly, fun, and made sure everyone had a great time. The other people on the tour were so much fun- which made the whole experience even better.
If you’re in Positano or any town on the Amalfi Coast, don’t skip this tour. We’d definitely do it again!

What a beautiful way to explore the Amalfi coast from Positano to Amalfi. It’s a good 7 hours so be prepared to be out a while! Our captain, Michel, was great. He stopped three times for us to swim, took us to the Emerald Grotto, and we got off twice - once in Amalfi and once in Priore where he had reserved tables for our small group at a famous restaurant. Highly recommend this small group tour. There were only 6 of us, it was very comfortable and drinks and snacks were provided.

This boat tour with Captain Maximo and Sebastian (from Naples) was absolutely amazing. They timed everything so perfectly. We saw the Amalfi Coast and they were very knowledgeable about different sites to see on the coast. There were multiple swim stops built-in and somehow each one was planned for exactly when your brain started to think “dang I really wish I could get in the water”. One hour was plenty in Amalfi as it was very crowded. Overall, the boat was very comfortable and it was a great day.

This is a great way to see the Amalfi coast! This special excursion stops in Amalfi and the emerald grove (which was so cool). The ocean is too murky to snorkel in April but we will still loved the opportunity to swim!
Francesco was the perfect Italian sea captain for our day on the sea!

Angelo, our Captain, was wonderful! He was knowledgeable and proficient but also had a great sense of fun. He kept us on schedule while making sure that we experienced all great aspects of the tour.
This was the most Amazing tour!
Our Captain was spectacular. He took us along the beautiful Amalfi coast and pointed out all the interesting sites. We stopped to swim twice. We ate lunch at an amazing restaurant.

Was our favorite activity in positano! Blended taking photos, seeing the sights, learning from locals and enjoying the water and food!
Absolutely favorite day of our trip! Small group tour was perfect as it still felt very private and luxurious, but we also got to meet other people! Our captain Angelo offered amazing service, he played great music, and took plenty of great photos of us. We enjoyed stunning views and many swim spots all day long. Amalfi was a great stop to walk around. Lunch at La Gavitella was pricey but the view was unbeatable. This tour was definitely worth it and we would recommend to anyone!
Its was an amazing day our guide Angelo was outstanding. I cant say enough good things about him and the tour. It was worth every penny and I would do it again.

This was hands down our most magical memorable day in the Amalfi coast ! Worth every penny , the most value as well ! Angelo was our guide and captain of our boat, he was fantastic serving us drinks ,fruit Prosecco, guiding us with information at stops or passing by , taking photos of us and was just so prepared with so much on the boat ! The emerald grotto is better than the blue grotto(capri) in my opinion it was beyond stunning , we had Ernesto as our guide , he was the cutest , best personality , full of information and humor ! We ate at La Gavitella and it was def the most captivating and stunning view of Amalfi and top 3 restaurants in all of Amalfi coast ! I will highly recommend Positano boat tours & captain Angelo to everyone I know and we will def be back ! Thank you for an unforgettable day !
It was a great experience! Our tour guide Angelo was amazing!!!! From Positano you sail away with amazing views of the coast, we stopped for swimming 3 time which was amazing!!!! We headed over to amalfi spent some time exploring then on the way back stopped for lunch at a restaurant at one fire beach club. All in all a great experience and stunning views. Had snacks drinks, towels provided and even limoncello and procecco! Thank you Angelo for a great day!
Amazing boat tour! We loved it - was one of our favorite days. Not sure why there are negative reviews on here. We had an amazing captain, Raul! Who made the day fantastic. He spoke a little English, but clearly these guides are from Italy so that should not be a reason to leave a negative review. We were able to understand what we needed to. Our tour guide was so accommodating and gave us plenty of opportunities to stop, take pictures, take in the sights, and swim! We had 1 hour in Amalfi less then expected but I’m sure it has to do with boat traffic on the water & getting in and out of ports as there is a lot of boat traffic and tourist on the water just like us. We had such a fun group with us which made the tour even more enjoyable. The last stop at the lunch spot was a private beach club and we loved it! Food was great and going in the water there was a great end to the day. Raul gave us prosecco, fruit & limoncello on the ride back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun chill boat day to see a few different spots around Positano!

Great day, lots of very good swim spots and amazing views! So glad we booked it. The lunch in Praiano was beautiful and delicious!
While the boat ride was great, the excursion didnt include anything but a piece of cantaloupe, a glads of prosecco and non-alcoholic drinks. First you stop at this cave where you have to pay 10euro to get in. What a scam. You load about 20 people into this small boat to ride around a litfle circle and have someone point out shapes in the stalagmites.. Then you spend one hour in Amalfi. Then they almost force you to this beach club to have a very expensive lunch, even if you’re not hungry. The boat had a busted speaker so the music sounded horrible. The driver didnt soeak English well so he couldn’t explain the sites as we were cruising.
The boat trip was one of the best days on our holiday. Angelo was such a kind and fun host. We saw almost the entire stretch of the amalfi coast with insane views.
Beautiful boat ride along the Amalfi Coast. 3 opportunities for swimming, stopped in Amalfi, and had a great lunch on our way back. Our guides were great and very accommodating, highly recommend!!
Angelo was amazing! Best tour we’ve ever been on I would recommend it to anyone visiting the amalfi coast! We swam at several amazing places and had a wonderful lunch! We are staying in Praiano and getting a water taxi over was very easy too!
It was a fun time! Smaller group so we have space to lay in the sun after swimming. Overall we’d do it again
