Our guide Jean was the best and made us feel like family. He was extremely kind, patient, and attentive. The lunch was spectacular would go back for this! The boat ride was so peaceful and quiet on a private boat. If you are considering you should definitely do this!!!

Absolutely brilliant day. Our guide Jean (french) completely made our day. The whole experience from start to finish was amazing and one of the best trips we have ever done. The small group was brilliant, boat trip was breathtaking, the port was delicious, the restaurant we are at we were blown away with how beautiful it was and the wine was free flowing too! Highly recommend

The tour was exactly as described-so much great I formation on the valley and his knowledge of the port wine process is great. We learned so much and had a great time, he was clear, easy to understand, and so very patient but kept us on schedule! He also had a great playlist!!

Started a little slow (boat tour not as long as expected, but absolutely beautiful) but the second winery and their food made the whole experience worth it. Best meal we’ve had in Portugal and gave us a perfect amount of wine. Absolutely beautiful views. Jean was a great driver and gave some good fun facts.

Everything we needed to know was communicated to us before our trip. We did check on our pick up point prior to the trip so that we knew where it was. Just go with the flow we had a blast & our guide Jean was the best.

Hugo and Verena were super friendly and informative. They took us to some great vineyards and we had delicious food. This is a perfect tour for a smaller group to experience and learn about the local wine culture.

Highlight of our vacation. Informative and fun. Grab a snack when you stop at the coffee shop. Lunch won’t be for a while. 1 hour river cruise is just right. Authentic Portuguese lunch in a stunning setting. Lots of good wines. My husband is a beer drinker, came along for me, and REALLY enjoyed himself. If you don’t like winding roads, be forewarned. Our guide Angelo was a safe and experienced driver with answers to all of our questions about the wine region (and Porto) and a great playlist for the drive through the Douro Valley.

Hugo was just an incredible tour guide. The views were stunning, the wine incredible, and just overall such a wonderful day. The two wineries were just perfect. Each different and both had such a warm and inviting atmosphere. I would high recommend!

We had an amazing time!! Jean was a fantastic tour guide! He was very considerate and thoughtful, and he did a great job teaching us about port production. The lunch was truly over the top with amazing food and so much wine and port. A really high end experience. Every stop was incredible, and it was really nice being in just a small van with a total of 8 guests. I could not recommend this enough!!

We had a wonderful time on this tour! Our awesome guide, Samuel, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and provided us with a great deal of information about the Douro Valley region. There were beautiful views all day with a tour of a quintas (with port wine tastings), a river cruise (guides were informative and humorous), and a delicious authentic Portuguese lunch with more wine tastings and information provided about the wine making process. It was a lovely day! Highly recommend!

Hugo was incredibly knowledgable, grounded, generous, funny and always interesting.
The tour itinerary was well planned and exceeded expectations with the scenery and quality of lunch being a real delight.
if you want to do more to support local businesses this is a great way to do it in a small group.
My wife and I had an amazing time and are recommending this to friends, family and anyone reading this review. A real highlight of our honeymoon.

Relaxing tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. The first stop for wine tasting gave us an incredible amount of information about wine production and variety. The cruise guide was also knowledgeable. Both were very knowledgeable. Our lunch host provided a delicious meal. We were also given a tour of their facilities. Would definitely recommend this tour.

The van squeezed in 8 people. Wasn’t very comfortable. The guide was fine but if you are traveling each way 1hr and 30 minutes must provide proper van to accommodate a group of 8 without being squeezed in.

We absolutely loved this experience from start to finish. The tour was super well paced with no lost time waiting around or idle. Fonseca was amazing, beautiful, and we loved trying the different ports. The views from the river were gorgeous. We had a small group with only two other people which was perfect (so 6 in total). The lunch was absolutely outstanding - I booked this as a special experience in Portugal with my parents, and my dad was blown away by the traditional style of cooking that we were lucky enough to be able to see in the restaurant. The food was also exceptional as was of course the Port. Thank you to our driver as well for looking after us all day!!

My dream has come true! I was with a small group who were very gracious with me for getting the wrong meeting point. My sincerest apologies and we were on our way. Sergio was a lovely tour guide. Loves his work and clearly knows his craft. Stopped for coffee and brekkie and a vantage point for pics. We made it to the Valley and our boat ride was super relaxing. Weather was perfect and Captain Pasquale was funny and engaging. Lunch, now that was truly a fantastic experience. Lots of wine and port and tours of the wine making process. We even had the chance to squeeze into a barrel, if you were game! 10/10 🍷🫶🏻

This was one of our favourite days of our 2 week trip. Tiago was so welcoming and friendly and shared amazing details about his life and experiences to add a personal touch to the tour. The Douro Valley itself was absolutely stunning and 100% worth a trip to see. We got some of our most favourite photos from this tour. The experience was a great way to meet people and share an authentic Portuguese meal with tons of wine and port. Highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our tour in the Douro Valley. The ports and wines were excellent. The scenic views and home-cooked lunch was a real highlight. Our guide, Tiago, was very knowledgeable and charismatic, which made the tour even more enjoyable!
The boat ride was fine, though not quite as nice as some of the others we saw passing by. Still, the overall experience was excellent, and we’d happily recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Douro Valley.

We had a fabulous time seeing the Douro Valley and tasting the port wines. Boat trip was enjoyable but nothing special. Lunch was terrific and homemade. No tour busses in sight. Loved the small group size and Sergio was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

What an incredible experience starting off our morning with locally bake, pastries, and incredible coffee, then going on the short river tour and then finally Port tastings capped off by one of the most authentic incredible meals I’ve had in a long time. Our guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and it was just an overall a great experience.
