Very nice trip. Lunch was not to taste but there were choices. Our guide was entertaining and a good driver. Enjoyed the tastings.

Worst Tour in Portugal

Worst tour we took in Portugal. The driver was really not helpful in explaining anything we had to book our own lunch because the place he took us to was completely unacceptable. It was a hole in the wall with mostly construction working dinning. This is not what we had envision for our private tour to Douro valley. We paid $100 for a lunch that probably would have cost them $20. We did not eat at that restaurant and booked another place on our own and the tour still charged us $100 for a lunch we didn't have. We called Viator to complain and they did nothing about it. We also had to booked our own tasting. Completely disappointed.

Absolutely great tour. Our guide went above and beyond in providing a great experience. We even went a bit over the contracted time and he did not complaint at all. He took us to great spots to take pictures. The tour itself takes you to great locations and the 1 hour boat trip through the river definitely worth the price.
