Everyone at Fish is exceptionally friendly and professional. My boys (4 and 8) and I had a wonderful time. Everyone was able to stand up on their surf board before the end of our lesson. We loved our instructor Diogo. He was an excellent teacher, patient and kind. We will definitely book again. Highly recommend this experience while you are in Porto.

We were traveling as a group of friends! And it was the first time we tried surfing. I would not recommend this place if you want motivated coaches and staff. It felt like no one liked their job, and the coach/instructor got disappointed when you didn’t understand something or did wrong. In the end of the class the instructor was surfing by himself… so i would recommend going somewhere where the instructor is good at teaching and love the job.

Our family took a group surf lesson with Ricardo, and the kids (10 and 13) loved it! All of us were able to get up on our boards by the end with Ricardo’s help. The wetsuits are very helpful since we had an overcast day, and the water is quite cold. Highly recommend for a family activity when in the area! We took a bolt from Porto which was very convenient and only about $10 eu.

My friends and I had our first ever surf lessons with Fish Surf School. Our instructors were Nuno and Ivan (?). The formal lessons on the beach were short, which gave us plenty of time to practice in the ocean. I appreciated the instructors’ patience and also their desire to help everyone to have a successful experience surfing. My only suggestion is that the company find a way to take pictures of the students. I really wish I had a snapshot of myself on the board. That wouldn’t been a real gift.
