Our guide Marta was waiting for us with a beaming smile and was the best guide one could wish for. Knowledgeable about all things Porto and we had a fantastic journey through a whole host of wines, ports and selections of food during our too brief tour. Marta also went on to kindly provide assistance with connections for wine tastings after the tour and helped select some potential restaurants for further dining experiences. We cannot emphasise enough just how enjoyable, relaxed and fascinating she made the tour. Marta thank you so very much indeed. Definitely do this on your first day, otherwise you will have probably already been to a couple of the places. Marta was very sweet although I would’ve enjoyed someone with a bit more passion, happy to be there attitude and spoken up better for us all to hear while on the street! Had to skip one of the places for food bc she said we had stayed too long at the other places but how we we to know when it was time to leave each one til she said. Glad we did the food tour but could’ve been better.

We had a wonderful morning morning and early afternoon with Jose. He is very knowledgeable about Porto and its history. We did make 5 stops - one wqs a wonderful local cake, the we stopped at the market and tasted sardines, we tasted the most delicious port sandwich, a mother local sandwich, a custard pastry, and a local port wine. I think I enjoyed the tour and history a bit more than the food (although the bifinas at Conga - the pork sandwich, and the custard were to die for) and Jose was a wonderful guide in Porto.

This was actually the 2nd time I did a food tour in Porto. Still, I learned and tried new things. Our guide, Nonu (spelling?), was very accommodating & informative. As we were walking, our guide pointed out various points of interest that we later explored on our own. Our small group of 6 really enjoyed the entire walking tour, especially our visit to the market (Bolhao). Nuno noticed this and allowed us to explore the market in great detail. Some of us took the time to shop for spices & coffee. I highly recommend doing this walking food tour.

Had a great experience with Nuno. He was respectful knowledgeable and we got a taste of all the foods specific to Porto! The walking was broken up that I didn’t even notice it although I believe it was 2-3 miles.

Food tours are my favorite thing to do when I visit a new city. This one definitely didn’t disappoint. Nuno was a fantastic guide and did an incredible job sharing his knowledge of the city, while introducing us to some fantastic food. I’d highly recommend doing this tour when you visit Porto. A must!

Great value tour !! and although it was for 3-3.5hrs we exceeded that and missed the the last stop at the Port Tasting as we were due back to our Ship in Lexioes which was a pity.
Very interesting host that kept the tour fun as well as interesting !! and sampling all the local delights was great with big generous portions !! so, please do not eat before coming on this tour !! #
Tour was fully in English as there was no other guests from different Countries and his spoken language was excellent.
Highly recommended .... Just one point for guests arriving on a ship in Lexioes it takes approx 40 minutes in the morning to reach the meeting point by Taxi from the port, so please bear this in mind when booking. Our ship docked at 9am and we queued for first off and arrived at the meeting point at 09.57 !! 3 minutes before the tour starts ...Taxi fare was 23 Euros.
You can get a Tram along the front and walk up to the meeting point but that will take around 1.5hrs so better by Taxi going and come back by Tram 6 euros
Well worth it though .....

Marta was an excellent guide, very informative, explained everything ver well in English, and was very concerned with my wife’s injured ankle. I wanted to schedule another tour with her, port cellars but her company doesn’t do that. Highly recommend her!

During the tour we made multiple stops at local cafes to taste port wine and several typical Portuguese foods and snacks. Marta, our guide, was engaging, flexible, and patient with the diverse group of people on the tour. Plus, she had the most joyful laugh!

Lots of fun places to stop in for bites as well as more serious sandwiches. Tour was fine and I enjoyed each stop. However, it would have been good to know just how big the sandwiches were so as to pace oneself.
