A good start to our trip

Our driver was very easy to find, he guided us directly to the car and we were at our hotel 30 minutes after arrival. It was a perfect way to start our trip. I know it would’ve been a lot less to take the train, but it certainly would not have been as easy and stress-free.

Even after I specified twice the address of the hotel- we were dropped at the incorrect one with driver insisting it was correct one. Why would I argue when I have never visited the country before and has no idea where things were in conjunction to places. No sympathy when complained that I had to them bill another taxi form one hotel to the other.

We had pre-booked a transfer at Porto airport with Viator. Our flight and arrival time changed at Chicago O'hare, and we conveyed this in the "contact us" area of our only communication with them, since there was no phone number anywhere for them (our first mistake!). They never replied to us to acknowledge the change. When we arrived in Porto, Portugal we had no transport, because they were no where to be found. We had multiple airport personnel trying to help us but no one knew who they were. We ended up paying again for our transport. Then they have audacity to text us how was your transport?!! Really? They do not care at all about the transport, because we pre-paid, they received their money, and they did not even know we weren't picked up. We are requesting a refund in this review, but they probably won't see that either. We have never had this happen in all the 40 years of traveling.

The driver was on time and waiting on our arrival. The problem started when the driver had not been informed of an update I’d made to the booking and delivered us to the wrong hotel. It was dealt with amicable, but if amendments are allowed on your website then they should be passed on.
