Hernan took us to the restaurant. Before he gave us an informative tour of the Porto area before our reservation. It was a bonus! The dinner was good and the Fado singing was beautiful! The restaurant was very warm, so do not over layer!!

Good tour and tour operator was responsive and friendly, just how it was listed in the Viator website was confusing: tour description said free hotel pickup and drop off but really for downtown Porto area only which is not where we were staying.

Maria took us on a short tour of the city before taking us to a ‘fado house’, a restaurant where the performers sung haunting, soulful fado songs between courses. A unique form of music to be experienced if you visit Portugal. Oh, and the food was very good too!

The music was exceptional. It was our first Fado experience but all the music was so amazing. The food was fair and the service was OK. There was a language barrier that made it difficult too. There was no offer for dessert or port in a fixed menu which was surprising. Our guide who picked us up and drove us was amazing. She was knowledgeable and fun.

Desert is always included even Port wine is not.

First a lovely guide picked us up at the hotel in Porto. She was well versed in English and was a delight to chat with. We were taken to a cozy little restaurant where our guide introduced us to our waiter and left her number with him. It was a three course meal with wine. The fish dish that I had was delicious. There music was a treat of old Portuguese songs. First half sung by a gentleman and the second by a lady. It was an event we truly enjoyed. There is a Fado taking place in many locations but it is best to book with a company like Viator if it's your first time in Europe as it was for me.
