Your full-day tour of Fatima and Coimbra begins by meeting your guide in Porto. Settle in to your comfortable air-conditioned coach and begin your scenic journey south to Fatima. On the ride there, get to know your guide and learn bits of historical anecdotes, like how Christians have pilgrimaged here for hundreds of years.
After two hours, depart the bus and begin exploring by foot. Head to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima, a shrine that was constructed at the location of six apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Enjoy an immersive experience inside the church for a 30-minute mass, admiring the magnificent architecture and service.
Next, reflect during time on your own while discovering the city and enjoying a leisurely lunch. After lunch, re-board your coach and venture to your next destination: Coimbra. Upon arriving at this university town approximately an hour later, enjoy a walk while taking in the sights. See city’s Romanesque Old Cathedral of Coimbra, believed by some to be the most significant Roman Catholic structure in the country.
Continue exploring on your own, then return to your coach to relax and reflect on the drive back to Porto. Your tour in central Porto in the early evening.

I did not realize this tour was bilingual. It made it difficult. I’d have preferred just one language. The audio system on the bus was muffled making it even harder to hear.
Coimbra was good EXCEPT we were there too early to see the world famous library, the main thing. It was closed.
We took this tour mainly to see Fatima. This tour provided transportation to Fatima but little more. There was no explanation about what buildings were located there and what there was to see. The guide said mass would be held at 12:30 and pointed to the new basilica. Totally wrong. We were totally on our own with figuring out what to do. Once we were back at our hotel we heard from someone about a prayer wall where you could write prayers down . Knew nothing about it. We had just two hours there, not enough to see it and have something to eat. I wish I had hired a private driver and skipped this tour.

Andre Vidal was an exceptional tour guide speaking fluently in English, French and Portuguese with great knowledge, understanding and passion for Fatima and also Coimbra which we visited in the afternoon. We had been to Fatima before on our own in 2016, but Andre's commentary and leadership enhanced our love and understanding of Fatima

While I'm sure the destination was lovely, I would recommend booking with a different tour group. The tour was billed as a group of 30, so I assumed we would travel in a nice bus. When we arrived at the meeting point, we were surprised to see a minivan. The group of 8 plus the tour guide/driver were to be crammed in for the long drive to and from Fatima. We opted out of the tour and were told there were others available that day. We selected one only to be told the booking system had "gone down" and they would call when it was functioning again. Of course, we never received a call or a response to the online messaging system. It was a waste of $150.
I wish we had chosen a different company, or taken the train and on our own.

Fatima is a beautiful place to visit. The main square is unspoilt, all the religious souvenirs are on the periphery. We really enjoyed the visit to Coimbra on the way. Our tour guide was wonderful and very inventive. He shared you tube clips of witnesses to the apparition in Fátima. The visit to the homes of the three children was special.

Great day trip. Our tour guide (Paulo) and the driver (Mike) were knowledgeable and were so happy share information about the trip and the two locations. They were so patient and took the time know each one of us by name, wait for the slower walkers. Just an amazing team. Paulo and Mike made the tour worth it despite the rain.

We were left to wait early in the morning in the very cold rain for nearly an hour while we waited for our tour guide to arrive. We were repeatedly told he was “ten minutes away”. After nearly an hour, a replacement guide arrived. He told us he came as a favor to the company. While he was nice, he didn’t go with us into any locations. He dropped us off at Cambria and Fatima and left us to figure things out on our own. He said he had to park or stay with the van (which wa spretty old and beat up). This was absolutely not a guided tour - it was a ride to Cambria and Fatima with a nice man that told us some history. SUPER disappointed and would love a refund.

The most memorable part of our experience was our guide Daniel. Very informative, and an excellent driver since we had a good distance to go. We also liked that it was a small group of us, only 8, and we were able to get individual attention. We were never rushed and was able to relax and enjoy our day. Fatima is a very serene and calm place. Unlike the Vatican. Another plus is that it is free to tour and enjoy the grounds and the church. Being able to see the homes that the children that saw the angel was a real bonus. It really started off the tour right! A big thank you to our guide Daniel. He was greatly appreciated.

Great day experience thanks to Jose Luis. His knowledge about Fatima and Combria was in great level of detail to make an absolutely great experience. Lunch took place in Fatima.
Lunch Buffett had a variety of choices for everyone, even included wine options. Transportation was also very comfortable.

Having to explore two cities in one day that are very far from Porto was a bit too much. Separate tours would've been better because we would be able to see and explore more and wouldn't feel the need to run from one point to another to make it in time.

The whole days outing from start to finish was well organised. Our tour guide P. Xavier was excellent, informative and a gentleman. The driver Patrick was great, safe and careful. Our lunch was lovely, flavoursome and plentiful. Time allocation for the various stops was good. Only wish some could have been longer. Overall a great experience.

Martin did a fine job guiding us around the places. The places we visit are lovely to see.
My only critique is that these tours should be very clear about churches or buildings that you don't go in and just see the exterior. If you go to Coimbra University you expect to go in the famed library. Just be upfront about that and offer clients to pay the fee required to get in.

Our driver Valdamar was very knowledgeable. He provided great insights into Portugal and its history. He had a sense of humor which made the actual drive quite interesting. Visiting Fatima was a spiritual experience.

We really enjoyed our trip to Fatima. The trip to Coimbra was not as eventful as one reason it is famous is to see the university students clad in robes, however the students were not around when we were there. The tour guide was informative, the bus driver was careful, timely and safe and the bus was comfortable. We enjoyed the included lunch in Fatima.

Loved our trip to Fatima and Coimbra! Francisco are tour guide did an excellent job of explaining the history of the Cathedral of Fatima and city of Coimbra. Despite, the rain, we had an excellent time. Would have liked to explore the university buildings in more detail. Highly recommend this trip!

Went with tour guide Daniel and had a wonderful time. There were French speaking and English speaking people and he is fluent in both languages. Very knowledgeable about the area and you can tell he loves his job! Fatima was amazing and very moving. Coimbra a beautiful town with an amazing college!

We were on a group tour of Portugal that did not include Coimbra or Fatima. This was a wonderful addition to our trip. Alex, and trainee Rueben, were informative, patient and fun to be with for the day. I would highly recommend this tour for a taste of this part of Portugal.
