Itinerary

Meet your dedicated guide at your hotel in Porto, or choose to be picked up from the train station or airport. Climb into a comfortable tour vehicle and head for the Serra D'Arga Mountains.

Your guide will show you the hidden treasures of this picturesque area, one of Portugal's greenest regions. Visit the Pincho waterfall and walk among the seven lagoons in the area, where you'll have plenty of free time to explore and go for a swim. Finish up your lagoon hike with a picnic lunch on the banks of the final lagoon.

After lunch, head to a local farm to make your own cornbread. Learn about the process, from the working watermill to the cornfields to grinding the flour. Get panoramic views of the mountains from a nearby scenic lookout, then dig into a snack of hot cornbread and honey.

Your tour ends with drop-off back in Porto.

Can't say enough about how amazing this tour and tour guide were! We traveled ALL over Portugal and this was literally the highlight of our entire Portugal trip!!! Gorgeous waterfalls and hike, amazing picnic, everything was done on our own time/pace, friendliest and most knowledgeable tour guide we had of all the tours we took in our 10 days of being there-you can tell he LOVES doing what he does and his excitement is infectious. If you can, I highly recommend asking about staying overnight at Carmen's house, she is SO friendly and warm and welcoming. We took this tour while we were staying in Porto and the tour guide was timely in picking us up and accommodating our needs. You will regret it if you leave Portugal without doing this one!

Not to be missed. A truely wonderful hike between those beautiful waterfalls and nature, if it was a bit warmer would've been great to have a swim in one of the many lagoons we have come accross. Our guide was extremly knowlagble of the area and the types of trees and plants and we had a lovely picnic by one of the lagoons having some local food of the village. Also we had the chance to bake corn bread in the traditional way with one of the local residents. Our guide also showed us hiw the old water mill operates. We ended the tour driving to a wonderful view point which besides the view we were able to spot wild horses and goats :
