Good Option to See Fantastic Place

Isabel_G, Apr 2026
I was glad I purchased direct transportation to Giverny. This tour was quick and convenient and the guide provided some interesting information on the bus ride over. The self-guided tour with the app was perfectly sufficient. 2 hours was a perfect amount of time for me given the crowds — just note that during peak season, when the lines are even longer, you may feel rushed.

Just a ride & ticket

C_S, Oct 2025
The Host had an hour to tell us anything about Paris, Monet, Giverny & she didn't say a word there or back. I got done 45 mins before meet time, sat on bench, went back in, wasted mins. Had no idea the town was to the left 10 steps. After I asked if we were going to town & she said no. Why didn't she tell us it was right there! Good for transportation & they bought the 11€ tix.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. As indicated on our website, this tour is not a guided tour but rather includes transportation and entrance tickets to the site. Our hosts are there to assist with logistics and coordination, but they do not provide guided commentary during the trip. We appreciate your comments and will share them with our team to ensure clearer communication for future guests. Kind regards,

Excellent trip!

Audrey_S, Sep 2025
Left on time and got back in time. Good information provided and also had time to do stuff on our own

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Dear Audrey, Thank you for your kind feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour. Kind Regards,

Giverney shame.

Paul_S, Jun 2025
My wife and I were in Giverney 3 years ago, and were pretty much the only people there... truly glorious. This time there were just too many people. We were with 4 people who had never been before, and the crowds meant that they couldn't experience the house. I understand why Europe is experiencing tourist fatigue. Can't tour companies limit the number of tourists?

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Dear Paul, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We truly understand how special your first visit to Giverny must have been, and we’re sorry to hear that this time the crowds made it difficult for your group to fully enjoy the house. Giverny has become an increasingly popular destination in recent years, and while we’re glad so many people want to experience its beauty, we completely understand the frustration when the serenity of the site is impacted by large numbers of visitors. Unfortunately, as tour operators, we are subject to the capacity limits and scheduling policies set by the site itself, and we’re unable to control or reduce overall visitor numbers. That said, we’re constantly looking for ways to improve the timing and structure of our visits to make the experience as enjoyable as possible—especially for those seeing it for the first time. We truly value your feedback and will continue advocating for more sustainable tourism practices that benefit both travelers and local communities. Warm regards,

It’s worth the trip to see Monet’s inspiration

Ty_A, Jun 2025
We traveled in June. It is very crowded in June. Perhaps other times of the year are better as far as being less crowded and able to enjoy the attraction. The tour we booked only provided about 90 minutes to explore the gardens, house and gift shop. It felt quite hurried. The time we spent in the gardens was amazing, so many flowers in bloom, such a beautiful variety. As for the house, Monet was such a prolific painter and there is quite a bit of his work on display. Of course, these are all reproductions as the originals are primarily in private collections or museums. The departure was punctual and the coach was a double decker, comfortable and plenty of room. The return trip found the coach extremely hot when we boarded at Giverny and took almost the entire two hours back to Paris to cool down. That was a bit disappointing. The guide kept us well informed prior to arrival in Giverny and offered good advice as to navigating the attraction. It was just very crowded and we spent almost the entire 90 minutes in a queue to see various aspects of the property. Might recommend staying in Giverny in order to spend more time on the property. Those early entires and being last to leave may offer more quality time on site.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the beauty of Monet’s gardens and appreciated the guidance provided during the tour. We understand that the limited time and crowding in peak season can affect the overall experience, and we truly value your suggestions. Your comments will help us refine the logistics and better inform future travelers. Best Regards

Not even time and delayed departure

Hannah_B, Jun 2025
There is not enough time to see the house and all the gardens with late departure. We departed about 20 minutes late which left even less time on an already cramped schedule. It also meant that other tour groups arrived ahead of us. Plus, the bus is several blocks away from the departure location listed which further delayed our trip. Overall the gardens made it worth it but we are planning on using alternate transportation in the future.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Dear Hannah, Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re sorry the late departure and distance to the bus affected your time at the house and gardens. We want to mention that we changed the departure point a few days before your tour and made sure to contact all our clients about this change. We’re sorry if our message didn’t reach you in time. We understand how important it is to have enough time to fully enjoy the visit, and we regret that the schedule felt too tight. We appreciate your kind words about the gardens being a highlight and your suggestions will help us improve the experience. We hope you find the perfect way to explore next time! Best regards,

Beautiful Gardens

Brenda_M, Jun 2025
The self guided tour was awesome. The gardens are beautiful and it was so fun to go into Monet's house and see more wonderful paintings. I was a little upset though that for a two hour bus ride, we could not use the bathroom. I am glad we had time to walk around the cute village as well.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Dear Brenda, Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the self-guided tour, the beautiful gardens, and the chance to explore Monet’s house and the charming village. We truly appreciate your feedback about the bus ride, we understand how important comfort is during travel and will pass this along to our transportation partners. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable experience soon! Best regards,

Monet Gardens

Macey_M, May 2025
The gardens were absolutely stunning! Charming house tour. Enjoyed the art, antiques and history. Meeting spot for bus was easy but bus was crowded. Be ready for big crowds. Popular destination with big tour groups. Would still recommend.

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Dear Macey, Thank you for your lovely feedback! We're so glad you enjoyed the stunning gardens, the charming house tour, and the rich history and art. We appreciate your note about the crowds and bus, this is indeed a popular destination, and your insight will be helpful for future travelers. We're happy to hear you’d still recommend the experience and hope to welcome you again soon! Best regards,

Over priced, not given...

Yelena_M, May 2025
Over priced, not given enough time to see everything given the amount of crowds and waitng time in the que. You would be better off going on your own to see this beautiful gardens

Response from Host, May 2025

Dear Yelena, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. The gardens are indeed a popular destination, and while we do our best to manage time and navigate the crowds, we understand how that can affect your visit. This was a beautiful trip...

John_S, May 2025
This was a beautiful trip outside the city—a wonderful break from churches and museums. What a master, Monet, to be present in his late life.

Response from Host, May 2025

Dear John, Thank you for sharing your reflections! We’re delighted you enjoyed the peaceful escape outside the city and had the chance to connect with Monet’s world. It truly is special to experience the places that inspired such a master. We hope to welcome you again for more inspiring moments! Best regards,

Beautiful gardens

Justine_E, May 2025
Easy to find the meeting spot, easy bus access, great tour. The gardens were great. Althouh it seemed like we wouldnt have enough time when thinking about only having 1.5-2 hours to look through the gardens, it was honestly plenty!

Response from Host, May 2025

Dear Justine, Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're happy to hear that finding the meeting spot and boarding the bus was easy, and that you enjoyed the tour. The gardens are indeed a highlight, and it's great to know that the time allotted felt just right for you. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and hope to see you again on another tour soon! Best regards,

Disappointed

Tammie_S, May 2025
Bus was uncomfortably warm... The gardens was beautiful but so many people you could not enjoy. Walking through the house was impossible way to crowded inside with people. The final straw, pick up and drop off was to be at same location ... they dropped us off in a different spot... not ok

Response from Host, May 2025

Thank you for your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet expectations. We understand how an overly warm bus and large crowds can make a trip less enjoyable, especially when visiting a place as special as the gardens and house. We also sincerely apologize for the confusion with the drop-off location. We’re currently reviewing this with our team to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Your comments are invaluable in helping us improve, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future under better circumstances. Best regards,

Must do!

Erin_D, Apr 2025
Beautiful! My favorite site visited on our trip. A must do! The coach ride to and from is so worth it and very comfortable. Did a half day tour, try full day!

Response from Host, Apr 2025

Dear Erin, Thank you for your fantastic review! We're so happy to hear that this was your favorite site visited on your trip. It’s great to know you enjoyed the half-day tour, and we hope you’ll consider the full-day option next time for an even more immersive experience! We look forward to welcoming you again soon! Best regards,

Beautiful site and comfortable ride, good half-day experience.

Constance_K, Apr 2025
The coach was quite comfortable though the seat next to mine was broken. The garden was very beautiful mid-April (water lilies are not out until summer fyi) and the keys to painters inside the house very helpful. Though we paid for “skip-the-line,” and though we were self-guided, we were disappointed to be left to our own devices for the line into the maison, which when reorganized for cutting by security, was 40 minutes long. Be sure to verbally confirm this with the guide, who also seemed to experience challenges identifying and keeping to the site for meeting for the return trip. Unnecessarily stressful and hopefully avoidable if one is proactive, as we were not. We would have liked to have had that 30-40 minutes spent waiting in line, for shopping and eat/drink outside the exit. But overall very pretty visit.

Response from Host, Apr 2025

Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit and the beauty of the gardens, especially during the lovely mid-April season. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience regarding the delay at the entrance to the house. We understand how frustrating it can be to encounter unexpected wait times, and we’ll certainly take your feedback into account to improve communication and the overall experience. Regarding the meeting point for the return trip, we will work closely with our guides to ensure clearer instructions and better organization. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. We hope to welcome you back on another visit soon. Best regards,

Early spring garden is lovely

Paula_J, Apr 2025
It’s early spring but the gardens are still lovely and peaceful and the house is really interesting too. Unfortunately the water lilies were not out yet.

Response from Host, Apr 2025

Dear Paula, Thank you for sharing your experience! We’d love to welcome you back soon! Best regards

Excellent!!

Jacqueline_S, Oct 2024
The tour was excellent. Minet’s house and gardens are magnificent as well as the lilies water gardens. Out guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The ride was comfortable all the way and back to Paris. 👌👌

A wonderful tour with a great guide

Steven_C, Sep 2024
Alex did a great job as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and made sure we had the best experience possible at Givernay.

A Monet and garden-lovers’ dream!

Mark_V, Aug 2024
Beautiful landscaped gardens filled with a wide variety of flowers, shrubs, and trees; Monet’s lily pond was inspiring for artists and photographers; and his home is restored with period furnishings and filled with his paintings. Our tour guide, Alexandra, was very helpful! A lot of tourists, like us, so patience is required for picture-taking.

Highly recommended!

Els_B, May 2025
A successful, but very expensive trip. Good , driver and driven, sometimes funny guide. Too bad we had to wait for latecomers at 15min!

Gostei da casa e do jardim, mas tem o problema de ter muitas pessoas em pouco espaço. A agência forneceu apenas um serviço de transporte. A quem for pagar o guia de áudio, saiba que é só um mapa impresso com um QR Code para o celular.
