This was a wonderful tour! Our guide Nikola was fantastic - pleasant, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. He was also early at the meeting point so we did not have to wait in the cold and darkness. I learned so much about WWII, and especially France’s part in it, in one day. There were only 4 of us on the tour and, even though the ride was long, we enjoyed it by talking among ourselves and with Nikola. I highly recommend this day trip from Paris if you have any interest in this topic and location.

We loved our day at Normandy. Regis did a wonderful job of getting us to our points of interest. We saw so many things, ate at a tasty restaurant and learned so much.

Our trip to Normandy met all our expectations, especially due to our knowledgeable tour guide Nicholas. He was so informed and warm and friendly. It was a 3 hour drive and we felt safe with his driving skills the entire way. We also stopped for a delicious lunch. I highly recommend this tour

It was a great small group experience. He got us there swiftly with no delays. The sites were very moving and he allowed us the time we needed to processes our emotions.

Our tour was led by Fabrice. We arrived a little early as suggested and he was waiting with the motor running. I would recommend checking the weather prior to going. We did check prior and were not caught without the proper attire. The trip as it mentions is literally on the cliffs in several places and this time of the year can be windy!
We had no trouble and would recommend it if you are going to be in town even in the winter. There were only a few larger tours that all arrived after us as they were likely transferred from a Paris train to a large tour bus.
This was a much more personal experience requiring no ear buds as we drove through the beautiful countryside and watched as the sun came up to start another day of adventure and awe!
We stopped at a place for coffee and sat down never feeling rushed. We chatted about different topics and Fabrice answered all of our questions regarding what we were about to see and listened while we recapped our other Viator adventures.
We arrived and were given a very interesting and dynamic interpretation of the events leading to the DDay landings. We toured two different landing zones and the amazing museum. We also spent a few solemn moments at the American Military Cemetary. Never feeling rushed and coming and going at the pace we created. We then had lunch at a great local restaurant with amazing food.
I couldn’t recommend this trip any higher or we would give it 10 stars and 15 to Fabrice.

Visiting Normandy was so incredible. What was a major disappointment was the experience of our ride and driver. This tour was an all day tour. We were picked up very early in the morning in Paris and driven to Normandy. I believe 2 hours maybe 2.5 in travel to Normandy. Our guide offered no information on what we were visiting, basically he was just a driver. We were 6 in total in a very uncomfortable van. We made a quick stop to use the toilets prior to arriving to the cemetery. A stop for lunch was supposed to be included and the restaurant we did stop at was closed and the driver made no effort to find another place. By the grace, one of our friends made sandwiches , so that’s what we ate. In the trip back we hit an unusual amount of traffic and the driver dropped us off, not at our drop off point, but basically I. The side of the road and we walked backed to our respective hotels. The execution went wrong. Visiting Normandy and the beaches is priceless!

A long day, of course, and the trip includes few amenities. Our driver was excellent and quite knowledgeable. The area is quite rural and it's extremely confusing to get from site to site, so having an accomplished guide was absolutely necessary.

What a great trip and so moving as a US citizen. My dad fought in WWII - this meant a lot to me. Our guide was so knowledgeable and interesting. We had a great group of fellow US citizens with us too. Highly recommend.

It is truly an experience that anyone home comes to Paris should do. Our guide Fabrizzio who not only got us back and forth safely was also full of knowledge about the events at Normandy and D Day also was very friendly and caring to everyone needs definitely book this experience.

A 12 hour day from pick up to return drop off but well worth the effort. Nicoli (driver and guide) was fantastic. Great sense of humor and spoke with passion at every stop. We loved our day and learned so much.

It was a good experience with the guide. He was very nice. I enjoyed my conversations with him. I thought the tour could be improved. There was not much engagement at the cemetery or Omaha beach sites. I found myself listening in on other tours that were near me on the beach who were giving key information to their respective groups.

Our guide was disappointing. We would pass a chateau and he would say, “there’s a chateau”. He did his job, but that was about it. Very polite, very removed. He was basically just a driver to get us to Normandy

My husband wanted to take this tour to Normandy. The drive is long, but we stopped for a stretch and toilet break, which was definitely needed. Regis was an amazing tour guide, he is passionate about history and shared so much of his knowledge, research, and pictures too. He gave us the perfect amount of time to enjoy each stop, have lunch, and enjoy the countryside. It was a busy area, but we rarely felt crowded or unable to enjoy the historical places we visited.

This is a long day. Study up before you go on your own. The tour was a driver who knew some things about D Day versus a guide who also drives you there. A large chunk of time is spent reading placards about D Day. If you are looking for an in-depth educational experience, this is not the tour for you.

We went with a great tour guide who provided us with a great experience. We were a group of four and there were two other groups of two. So a total of 8.
with the drive out from Paris, we had a chance to get better acquainted with our guide and the others in our group. It was very pleasant. D-Day Museum and Point du hoc are so worth it. The guide had some photos of the beach and some other info to share before we saw the sights. It is a great experience. The lunch venue was superb and served delicious food. I got to sample Normandy Cidre and Camembert cheese with a turkey pressed dish. It was very good.
Great way to experience the Normandy battlefields on a timeline that might be short.

Seeing the DDay beaches in person was marvelous and is something that should not be missed.
However, our tour guide did not give us much historical background or a detailed description of what happened on DDay. Our guide was very nice and answered questions, but I expected much more detailed description of the landing sites and what happened on that date.
