Itinerary
Your day trip starts with hotel pickup in Paris by minivan for the drive out of the city and into Champagne, the French wine region home to storied bubbly producers such as Moët & Chandon, your first stop. During the journey, listen to commentary from your guide covering the history of and interesting facts about the region.
When you arrive at Moët & Chandon, in the village of Epernay, enjoy a tour of the facilities to learn about the production process and see the Champagne cellars. Then cap off this experience with a guided tasting session. If Moët & Chandon is unavailable, visit another luxury house instead, such as G.H. Mumm or Veuve Clicquot.
Then stroll through Epernay and listen to commentary from your guide about the history of the region and other Champagne cellars in the region. Visit a small winery and learn about the production process before sampling a few varieties of their Champagne.
You also visit the village of Hautvillers, to hear the story about the monk who lived in a Benedictine abbey "created" the bubbly drink that has become so famous. Learn about the history of its namesake and the history of how Champagne was actually created.
Your tour ends with a 3-course lunch of local dishes such as foie gras, cheese, Reims ham with fruit, and Reims specialty pink cookies, paired with four types of Champagne.
At the conclusion of your time in the region, relax on the return drive to Paris for hotel drop-off.

You go to 2 champagne wineries
You have lunch at small winery
Driver won’t stop for coffee breakfast so have before you go
The champagne lunch and tasting tour was fantastic! Our tour guide, Max, was incredibly informative, professional and courteous. It was a perfect tour as it was small. We met some great people along the way and the to/from drop off from our hotel was extremely convenient. The lunch at Le Clos Corbier, small champagne house in the region, was superb, with the family and workers serving glasses of their best champagne. Max was able to give us a tour of their cellar, explain the champagne making process and having us explore the history of the champagne region. To top it off, we went to Moet & Chandon and experienced what it’s like to visit one of the big champagne houses for tastings and appetizers. We also loved visiting Reims and walking through and learning about the history of its Cathedral de Notre Dame. I would recommend this tour again for anyone looking for a getaway from the busy Parisian lifestyle during their trip and would attend this tour again!
It’s a long day out of the city and into the beautiful countryside. An informational tour about the champagne process with champagne tasting!
I wouldn’t recommend this tour as it was inferior to other wine tasting tours I have taken. Though two of the tastings were enjoyable the lunch was st a horrible restaurant that looked like a cafeteria and the food was not eatable. Usually the lunch would be at a boutique vineyard, with a view and third tasting. Way too expensive for this experience.
Arthur was knowledgeable, fun and great guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the group and the tour. Tasted several kinds if champagne and visited a couple of champagne houses. Lunch was very tasty!
Excellent tour. From the pickup, visit to a vineyard, champagne tastings, delicious lunch, stunning views to the drop off, everything was great!
Our tour guide Tomer was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this tour.
This was a fabulous experience! Great communication with tour operator and Guide. Very nice ride to and from the Champagne region. We visited very different types of champagne makers, tasted many varieties and had a nice lunch. And a surprise treat from our guide. We were returned safely to our Paris Hotel. A beautiful day!
Amazing experience and Alex was the best guide . He knows a lot about champagne. Highly recommend !!
A really fun and educational day trip for my daughter and I. We went to two champagne houses and had 5 small glass tastings. Lunch was nice and in a small, quaint restaurant. Loved the door to service.
We learned so much about champagne! This is better than we expected, very interesting and enjoyable. TJ is very knowledgeable and just a really nice guy. Our lunch was very good and such a fun experience. A truly perfect way to spend the day!
Alex was a great guide very detailed, informative, and fun. So he gets 5 stars. However, the tour had only 2 visits to champagne houses: Taittenger and a smaller house because Moët was closed. There was a surprise by Alex but we much rather have a 3rd visit to another Champagne house since the drive was 2.5 hours one way. I would suggest to have lunch at a different restaurant as it took over 2 hours to go over lunch.

Tomer was an amazing guide. We were picked up and dropped off from our hotel, saving us a walk or metro trip.
We had a very comfortable van and 6 people total on our trip, 7 with the guide, Tomer.
Tomer also personalized the trip for us, adding in extras like Don Perignon’s tomb, a tour inside Norte Dame Cathedral in Reims (which honestly may have been better than the one in Paris), and more.
We had a delicious lunch that lasted about 90 minutes or so and gave us time to get to know each other and enjoy a 3 course menu. This wasn’t some thrown together sandwiches, but an actual restaurant.
Tomer and the champagne house tour guides all did an amazing job explaining the history of champagne, how it’s made, how it’s regulated, and more.
We did this in July. Too much driving. First champagne house didn’t know we were coming so nothing was set up. More driving. Then a very odd ultra fancy Lunch with no champagne. Tattinger and stop at vueve were nice but overall I don’t recommend this tour.
Sebastian was PHENOMENAL! He took us all around the Champagne region and showed us breathtaking spots we didn't even know was on the itinerary! Veuve had a great tour that really explained the details of Champagne making. Then we went to a smaller vineyard where we had a decatant lunch and was met with open arms by the owners and family of the chateau. It was a highlight for sure! Lastly he took us to the top of the vineyards with breathtaking views! Luckily our weather was perfect for it! It was a great day!
Alex was a good driver and treated us to his knowledge and his own tasting. The car was comfortable and views incredible.
We just got back from our day in the Champagne region and we had a great day! Alex was a very attentive guide and made sure we all had a wonderful experience! One couple in our group lost her purse during the day and Alex was doing his best to juggle helping her and keeping all the rest of us happy and taken care of! The day ended up being a little longer than expected but not by his fault at all! We appreciated his kindness and patience to her and his determination to keep the rest of us happy and having a good time! Taittinger house with the tour of their caves was very interesting and the champagne was delicious! Then we went to Veuve Cliquot (our favorite and we were so excited to have it added to our day!) for a quick stop to shop in the boutique and have a glass of champagne there (this was not part of the original plan but we all decided as a group to forego the cathedral to make this stop instead). Then on to a 2 Michelin star restaurant for lunch which was fantastic! After lunch we went to Moet and Chandon, again for a quick stop to shop and get a glass of champagne. On the way to our last stop Alex took us to a park that overlooked the beautiful vineyards for a tasting he had brought with him. The views were breathtaking! This is where the missing purse came into play but we were all on board to help locate it. After about an hour of calling the previous places and searching the park and the van, he took the couple with the missing purse to the police station and then drove the rest of us to the next tasting. (We missed the tour of this champagne house by we didn’t mind as we felt bad for the couple and for Alex.) We were a few hours off course but it didn’t take away from the day we had! Met some fun new people and had a blast! We would do it all again!
Tomar was a very knowledgeable guide. I recommend this tour if you are interested in the champagne region of France.
TJ was amazing! He was super informative, took exceptional care of our whole group, made sure we were nicely buzzed during the trip, and regaled us with amazing stories about the region/ the champagne making process and his own life - loved it!
Excellent! Worth going to Moet & Chandon. Beautiful views and delicious lunch. Tomer our your guide was excellent.
It was awesome! Alex was a great tour guide!! Learned to saber a champaign bottle. Great music on the ride and the guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. Great all around experience. Definitely recommend.
The beauty of the tour was having a designated driver! The driver, Sebastian, was quite informative before, during, and after each tasting. During the travel to the champagne region, he had a question and answer game for us. That game made the time fly. Sebastian was diligent in his duties, making sure we were on time for each tasting, no one got lost, and setting up the glasses for the tasting when necessary. We had a fun group too, with plenty of laughter. I will recommend this tour to friends and family coming to Paris.
A fabulous day out in the countryside of France after all the bustle of Paris. The champagne houses we visited were all different and thoroughly enjoyable. The coach was comfortable. Loved our stop, overlooking the vineyards where we had a fabulous al fresco tasting and champagne bottle opening lesson - outstanding!! The only negative was the length of time for pick up and drop offs at each hotel - really would suggest a couple of more central meeting points for people to get to rather than braving the Paris traffic. The lunch was delicious but would have liked to have been in a champagne winery location with a glass of bubbles as opposed to buying our own drinks in a local restaurant. However, overall a great day out and recommend.
Max the driver and guide was excellent! One of the best guides I’ve ever experienced! He was so knowledgeable, friendly, flexible went out of his way to show us extra places!! Courteous and always available!
He was outstanding!
The tourist starts early, so be prepared! To speak to our individual tour we had a good group! There was only seven of us in the group which made it fun and we were able to learn a lot about each other through the day while sipping on and learning about the various grapes of champagne of France!
Our tour guide Sebastian was extremely accommodating if something wasn’t on a route for a stop in. he made sure we did and still kept us within the time of getting to the places planned.. I would recommend this tour however I would recommend during the week so you could actually see the protection happening but going on a weekend was still fabulous being able to ship champagne and join in the Parisian culture for the day!
The tour was outstanding and our guide Sebastian was excellent! We visited two champagne houses, sampled some delicious bubbly and also had a tasting overlooking a breathtaking view of the vineyards and village below. The lunch at a Michelin restaurant was delicious. These are just the highlights, and I can't stress enough how our guide Sebastian made it extra special!
Great experience seeing the region, a smaller producer that walked us through the process, and a larger house that gave a different perspective. And some great Champagne to try along the way. Lunch was very good as well, and really enjoyed the stop to see Reims Cathedral, just spectacular.
This was a huge highlight during our week in Paris. Max was our guide and he was delightful. The day was perfectly planned including stops for the toilet and coffee, and short opportunities to stretch our legs and see some gorgeous landmarks. We visited two wineries as promised, a small one and a large one. We had ample tastings (I lost count!)
Wonderful trip! Enjoyed seeing the countryside and the driver was so helpful and knowledgeable. The lunch provided was so good not to mention the Champagne. Bought some to bring home.
The experience was very enjoyable and the tour guide Tomer was very good He was very knowledgeable and explained everything and was also very attentive
