Sophie was a great tour guide. Her knowledge of art was profound. I loved how she started slowly providing history and context finishing with the Impressionist masterpieces. Because of her stories and background provided, she was able to point out things about the famous pieces that made instant sense. It gave me a fresh look at pieces I have seen in my past.

We arrived early for our tour as requested. Alas, we still waited beyond our entry time to enter the building. Being part of a tour was essential. Otherwise, the line to get it would have take forever. Our guide was knowledgable but was not particularly engaging. She didn't seem passionate or enthusiastic about the museum, the history or the art. I am still glad we had a guide to help us learn more about the artwork we were viewing. I just wish she had been more passionate and more personable.

Tristan was a wonderful guide-very knowledgeable & entertaining. We were lucky with 4 people in our group. The Musee d’Orsay is a must see-the building and the art in it are masterpieces.

Our guide was wonderful in explaining why the impressionists we're not originally accepted into the art world. Their use of brush strokes that could be seen, scandalous subjects, study of light using unusual colors to paint their paintings was thought to be unacceptable...... The paintings were amazing and our guide showed the progression of styles. We absolutely loved our tour!!!

What a charming Museum!! Ed, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and engaging. The tour was about two hours which we found to be the perfect length. You’re welcome to stay after if you choose. Viator is an extremely accommodating company and the communication is impeccable. We also booked a Louvre tour, a day trip to Normandy and a bike tour of Versailles through Viator.
