My wife and I had a wonderful experience on this all day tour. Our guide David, who spoke English quite well, provided us with a wealth of interesting information about the areas we drove thru and the castles that we visited. Each castle we visited was more beautiful as we walked thru them. David was very enjoyable as a guide and he took the time to take us to the best photo opertunitys and even took many photos of the two of us. Our driver Roman, was an excellent driver. He smoothly drove us thru the traffic in Paris and out to each of the castles that we visited. He was very courteous and opened and closed the passenger doors for us. On our return to Paris, Roman found a quick path back to our hotel, even though the was a Taxi strike going on in Paris. Both my wife and I were very pleased with our experience and we would both recommend this tour to anyone that we know. Great job!

Such a fun day! It was so nice to just sit, relax, enjoy the sites and learn lots of fun facts while being driven around safely through the countryside. We always enjoy these types of tours, and David and Roman made it extra special for us! Magical!

Olga is a wonderful tour guide her attention to detail is impeccable. She pointed out details regarding coins with Diana De Poitiers’ image on them that I never would have found out about. Her enthusiasm and knowledge made the day unforgettable. Things I was amazed at: we passed through tiny villages with ancient Tudor style buildings, fields of sunflowers, she pointed out the past cafes that served food quickly in Amboise. She pointed out important details at the castle where Leonardo Da Vinci is buried. The mini van was equipped with bottled water. We visited an amazing vineyard underground in caves that shipped wine to the USA. Olga was not only gifted in her knowledge of the history of the three castles, she helped us decide which features to prioritize seeing. French don’t have Venmo accounts so bring cash for tips.

We had a wonderful experience on the Private 3 Loire Castles Live Guided Tour with Wine Tasting from Paris. Our guide, Olga, was incredibly well-versed and passionate about the history and architecture of the Loire Valley. She brought the stories of the castles to life with insight and enthusiasm. What stood out most was her attentiveness and empathy. It was an unusually hot day, and my daughter wasn’t feeling her best. Olga immediately noticed and kindly accommodated our request to shorten the tour without making us feel rushed or like we were missing out. That level of care made a big difference and allowed us to still enjoy the highlights comfortably. The wine tasting was a lovely and a highlight of our day—well chosen and informative. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Olga as your guide!

We were picked up on time and spent a memorable rainy day touring two French palaces and one castle. Our guide, Ilya, was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant and the driver handled the wet and rainy weather with ease. My family and I are glad we took this tour and would highly recommend it.

A very enjoyable day! Our guide Olga led us through three very different castles and told us the history and stories behind them all. A stop at a winery that has been in the same family since 1508 was fabulous! Olga was a perfect guide for the day- she even left us with a silly selfie on our phone when she used it to take photos of us at the top of a castle. I would highly recommend this tour!

A great and informative tour

Our guide, Helen, and our driver, Alex, took great care to see to it that we were able to get as much out of our visit as possible, considering that they had to slow down their pace to accommodate our old legs, knees, ankles, etc. Helen was incredibly knowledgeable about French history as it applies to the chateaux that we visited. She was also personable and very easy to talk with and ask questions of. Alex was ready when we needed him to be. We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to know more about the chateaux of the Loire Valley than a standard group tour can provide.

Unhelpful driver

We booked this tour to the wrong location. We meant to go to the champagne region not the city of Champagné. We realized this immediately when we met our driver and when we told him he was immediately argumentative and unhelpful. His English was not great so we could not have a conversation about what we wanted to do about the situation. Instead of being kind and patient while we figured out what we should do he was very pushy and rude trying to just get us in the car so we could go somewhere we had no interest in going. We had already paid for the trip in advance and it was our fault so we understood that we couldn’t get our money money back but he was so unpleasant about the whole situation we decided to just get out after driving a few blocks because we did not want to spend 5 hours in a car with this man.

To be short. The client booked the Trip to 3 Loire Valley Castles but said by Pick up that she wanted to go to the Champagne region for tastings instead. "The city of Champagné" doesn't exist. So it was not on the Ticket or mentioned anywhere. But the word is nice. We had no option to change the itinerary so dramatic because the entrance tickets to the Champagne houses must be booked in advance. So I offered to do the Champagne trip the next day but the client refused it. After a short discussion the client agreed first fo go to the Loire Valley Castles what she originally booked but within 5 minutes driving and short discussion with the second participant she changed her mind twice: first she asked to shorten the itinerary and finally and she decided to stay in Paris. Same story in details: I am not a driver but Guide and Driver and the company owner having almost 5 star reviews. Regarding this trip: I came before the time and was waiting for the clients in the hotel lobby. A couple came down and was surprised that we were going to the Loire Valley Castles and not to Champagne region for tastings. I showed them their Ticket for 3 Loire Valley Castles trip. The lady asked is it not Champagne ? I said No, sorry, it is not Champagne. She said: but we want to go to Champagne. I said: But You have the Ticket for 3 Loire Valley Castles. We have to reserve the tickets to the Champagne houses in advance. We can do Champagne trip tomorrow if You want but not today. Because If we would go there now we would get no admission because entrance tickets must be ordered beforehand. So we have to make the Trip You have booked. The couple discussed it shortly and decided to follow me to my Mercedes car. While driving I explained about our today's trip timing due to the itinerary. The lady said: this is not we want to. We would like to have just one Castle with Wine tasting. I said OK. No problem. Afterwards the lady discussed with the young man the situation and said: You know we don't want to go to the Loire Valley Castles because this is not Champagne what we wanted to have. You can have Your day off. Please drop us off here. I had no choice. I said: OK and stopped the car and they left. Very very strange situation. P.S. By the way The 3 Loire Valley Castles trip last 13 hours, not 5 hours. P.P.S. We have got 20 different Champagne tastings Experiences which should be booked in advance.

Wonderful Castle Tour

All of the castles were beautiful and very different. The village of Amboise was also a fun visit. Valerie was so knowledgeable about the history of each castle, had fun anecdotes and really brought it all to life. The family winery was just okay. It was a simple tasting room and there were 10 other people there. I would have thought for the price of this trip the winery would have been a private tasting and the wines a bit better. This is no reflection on Valerie but more for Viator to improve the expereince given the price.

Regarding the itinerary: it is a tour with 3 castles and a very very very short short wine tasting of 30 minutes within 13 hours tour. We make special Wine tours to Chablis with 4 winery visits with total 20 wine tastings, we make Champagne trips with 3 to 4 Champagne houses visits etc. Read carefully the itinerary beforehand. Please. To avoid disappointments.

Our tour of of the Lorei Valley was an amazing experience! Valerie was a knowledgeable, friendly, and fun tour guide, and Yunadi was an excellent, safe driver! It’s not an easy feat to navigate the streets of Paris on Bastille Day, but he navigated those streets safely and like a pro. Valerie shared history and interesting stories about the palaces and those who inhabited them throughout our drive. Our family of six would love to do another tour with both Valerie and Yunadi!
