My wife and I pre-planned all of our days as far as attractions went and surprisingly The Opera House was our favorite and that was because of the Tour we booked through Viator. It was by pure luck that I book the Paris Expert for the Opera House. I HIGHLY recommend the tour using Miss Parisette (Elinor Adam). Her knowledge of the Opera House surpassed our expectations and her personalized attention to detail during our visit made has made a lasting impression. If you are interested in seeing The Opera House and you are not booking her, you are missing out.

Absolutely one of the best tours I’ve ever experienced! Elinor was a delight. Her knowledge of the history of the opera house was vast! She was very understanding of our need to stop and sit because of back issues. By the end of the tour I felt she was a friend! Highly recommend!!!!

My wife and I simply loved our tour with our excellent guide Anais today! She was super informative and friendly, we felt relaxed and at ease from the start. As well as a profound knowledge of the historical facts, Anais has wonderful artistic sensibility (she is a filmaker!) and constructed a wonderful narrative arch throughout the tour! As an opera buff and someone who has dreamed of seeing this venue for years, this was an amazing tour experience with a person with stage manager experience (so we spoke the same language!). Elinor was knowledgeable and fun! We did a random photo shoot in one of the lobby balconies! So fun! And we were privileged to see a rehearsal in progress in the auditorium! This was the best tour we’ve ever had!

This was a VERY private tour- only my wife & I were on the tour, so our tour guide took the time to answer our questions, linger in public parts of the building
& take plenty of pictures. We thought our guide was very good at what she did.
However, we had only a brief view of the theater (a "rehearsal" was going on - just a some guys on stage talking together about staging), & no views of backstage, costume shop or sets that we would have expected for a private tour! So we paid a LOT MORE than if we had just gone to the opera house & bought a public tour ticket!

It’s beautiful inside but we were September 2024 and we never got to actually see the theater because they are renovating it!! They should tell you prior to going that you will only see the foyer and a small library not the theater!!
It’s also confusing to find your guide because the tour says to meet on the steps but the security makes you move to the other side so we actually waited in line twice.
