Easy to find at the port! As soon as we got off the ship our drive guide Lorenzo was there holding a sign with our names. The drive was informative and we were dropped off right at the spot to meet our guide for inside the Pompeii complex. Despite the rain, we had a wonderful tour with Tomas and he made sure we saw as much as we could in our allotted time. A little rushed, so if you are a serious photographer and want lots of pictures, you may want to explore in your own. We moved quickly, but the information was flowing and Interesting! The whole tour stayed right on time and was well worth the price!

Disorganized with meeting point. Time changed to earlier night prior( by 30 minutes). Even though we were at the meeting point 40 minutes early, messaged after we checked in at departure time? Apparently waiting for those from Getyourguide ( combined) We were given no direction from our director as to what to expect when we arrived at Pompeii. Took us onto the gift shop area, told to meet in plaza 20 minutes later and disappeared. The guide through Pompeii (different) hit the highlights, best part was skip the line-

We purchased skip the line tickets and small group—neither of which happened.
We were excited to finally visit Pompeii, and overall, the experience was worthwhile—but a few things could have been better.
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the history of the site, which we appreciated. However, they often referenced areas or artifacts we weren’t going to see, which was a bit frustrating. It left us feeling like we were only getting part of the experience and made us wonder what we were missing.
The transportation arrangements were also a bit confusing. It wasn’t entirely clear where to meet or how things were supposed to flow, which added some unnecessary stress at the start of the day.
Pompeii itself is absolutely incredible and worth seeing, but this particular tour might leave you wishing you had more time—or more clarity. I’d recommend doing some research beforehand and maybe considering a more in-depth option if you’re really interested in exploring the full site.

Thomas was amazing and the tour itself was one of the best we’ve ever had. He knew so much and really wanted the group to “imagine” what happened in Pompeii. However the pickup details were unclear not only to us but the other couple from our ship. We ended up having to walk 40 minutes still without finding our bus. I was texting Mary (the lady who was in charge of the meet up) trying to work it out without responses. The other couple were in the phone with the company trying to find our bus as well. Finally after 40-45 minutes the bus came to our ship gate for us. I felt sorry for the other guests from the other ships on the tour as this caused everyone to be almost an hour late arriving in Pompeii. This tour was advertised “for Cruise passengers “ so we had expected the meet up to be easy. The meet-up process was very frustrating. We book with Viator quite often and never had this happen before.

Overall we had a good time in Pompei with Alessandra S. and the excursion team. My issue is with the front office with communication. It's advertised as an excursion for "cruise ship" passengers for 8:30 am.
However, they communicated to us to meet at 7:50 am. I relayed back to them that the ship's
disembarkation time is 8:30. This situation of time leads to a stressful situation for us as passengers as we have no control over times. The operator advertises it as 8:30 and should stick to their time. We come to realize that we are the first pickup in their route and would stop at 2 other locations for pickup. It would be appreciated if the operator was up front with the pick up process and stuck with the time and advertised heading directed to cruise passengers. Communication and transparency should be worked on. Otherwise, the time in Pompei was good.

The tour group itself, WorldTour, was great. Broke us up into smaller groups based on the language you speak which was nice. It made for smaller groups and not needing to hear the same thing in different languages. Pompeii was as expected to be. However, DO NOT FOLLOW THE VIATOR DIRECTIONS FOR MEETING POINT!! We were outside of the port at 0810 for a 0830 meeting time but we ended up being 10 minutes late because we followed the map directions given by Viator which brought us to the ferry boarding port. Thankfully the tour guide was nice, called us and held the bus for us to get there. Overall it was great but maybe consider booking through the actual world tour company instead.

This was a mess from the start. Nobody was in charge, the we had to hang around in a parking lot with a driver who didn’t speak English. Then, they didn’t have a guide for us. Finally, they got someone from somewhere - he was good. . People kept asking us if we had the tickets to get in and then would walk away. As a result of all the utter confusion, our tour was cut short. Not worth the money for all this craziness. I would t never book with them again.

As described in the tour details, you would meet the guide directly at the Pompeii site. What you booked was a semi-private tour where our driver would take you to Pompeii, where the guide awaited you.

Our group of 4 really enjoyed the experience of this private tour. A driver met us right outside the cruise port and shuttled us to Pompeii where we met our guide Alfredo. Walking around the site we saw many large groups and was very happy we didn't have to share Alfredo, who was great, with anyone else and felt we received more attention because of it. One suggesion would be that Alfredo had provided us with ear phones so we could hear him more clearly in crowded areas. After Pompeii, our driver took us back to the ship but we asked his recomendation for a pizza restuarant and it was delicious, I have been to the port of Naples before but would recommend only a half day tour like this to allow for extra time to strole the beautiful narrow streets of Naples for shopping and snacks just watch out for the million scooters, geez. lol

The on-site tour guide was very knowledge. However, they company should provide us with ear phone (whisper) so that we can hear him better. with a crowded place like Pompeii Ruins, it was hard to hear the tour guide and get the full picture of the place.
The guide on the bus was rude and unprepared. He went from row to row to show us the map of
Salerno from his cell phone. He also ignored our questions about Salerno. It appeared his only concern was to deliver us to the Pompeii Ruin on time and leave on time.

It was a terrible experience on this tour. We will make a claim for compensation for your breaching of the contract, under separate email. Instead of a small tour group of 7 members. Endup we were grouped with over 30 people, with 3 different languages. Even the tour guide was frustrated with such arrangement from his company WORLDTOURS. To be fair, the tour guide was blameless.
