Itinerary

This Third Reich walking tour begins with a convenient hotel pickup from any central Munich accommodation or at a centrally-located meeting point.

Greet your private guide and learn about the rise and fall of Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany’s Third Reich while visiting many of the locations that were key to that time period. Munich was the city where Hitler rose to power and many of the Nazi party’s policies were conceived here.

Stroll around Munich’s Old Town to see the historical sites associated with the city’s Nazi era. See the building where Hitler first joined the Nazi party. Discover the former headquarters of the Gestapo and visit the place where the infamous Beer Hall Putsch, also known as the Munich Putsch, took place in 1923. This was a failed coup attempt by Hitler and other party leaders to seize power in Munich.

Before the tour ends, also squeeze in a stop at the Staatliches Hofbrauhaus—known for its great beer—then end the tour at your start point.

Mark was very knowledgeable and patient with our slower walking and hundreds of questions. I learned a lot.

Excellent, informative tour!

Our guide, Sarah, was excellent! She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The tour was incredibly interesting and informative. It was a great history lesson. There was a lot of walking and at the end of the tour, Sarah showed us how to navigate the subway and got us headed in the right direction. If you have a few hours to spend in Munich, I highly recommend this tour!

Don’t use radius tours

This company cancelled our tour without notification to us. We learned of it when we called in to see where the guide was at. They made excuses and left us without the time to make new arrangements not to mention the cost of hotel and transportation. I don’t recommend Radius Tours at all

This is a great tour, Mark, our guide was so knowledgeable and did a fantastic job of giving us the history and showed us places that most people will miss without this tour. We highly recommend that everyone visiting Munich take this tour. The side benefit is that you cover so much of the city that one truly feels that they have seen Munich.

The guide seemed to have a lot of information but was flustered the whole tour. He didnt put the sights in order which made it hard to follow, but if we asked him a question he likely knew the answer which I appreciated a lot. He really gave us a thorough tour but again, it was hard to follow and the guide was flustered and didnt seeme to know how to get around e city quite as well as a tour guide should.

This is not an easy tour for the guide. A lot of places are not what they once were. Our guide showed us pictures of different areas as well as walking around them. He bought The Third Reich alive for us. For anyone with an interest in this subject a must do. The guide picked us up from the hotel and returned us. A definite plus for anyone unfamiliar with Munich.

Steve is an excellent guide and was flexible when we arrived in Munich later than expected. We have two boys age 9 and 13 and he tailored his talking points so they would be stay engaged during the tour. We've recommended Steve to friends going to Munich!
