Once we got going, we had a great tour with Verena. Our voucher indicated we were to meet at the Radius Tours office in the Hauptbahnhof train station, but she was waiting for us at our hotel. It was not that far, but probably cut 15 minutes off of our tour. Verena was very well informed and her English was great. We learned about the history of the city as well as some of the fun stuff beer gardens and May poles. I would recommend this tour.

The small group setting was ideal for this tour. Patrick, a native Municher with an academic interest in history, made an ideal guide. He had numeours anecdotes and insights to share, which made the buildings and alleyways of Munich's Old Town come alive. His droll sense of humor also helped a lot. Highly recommended as a way to get into, yet remain a little apart from, the touristic bustle in the center of the city.

I was disappointed with this tour. We were not informed that the day we had arranged this for was a bank holiday in Germany due to a Catholic festival and entrance to many of the churches was severely restricted and everything was shut. The guide walked ahead of us much of the time and we did not learn as much as I had hoped.

This tour was fantastic. The content was a great mix of history, culture, modern life, architecture, people and customs; all delivered in a really friendly, interesting and engaging format. We walked the whole town (not that far!) and when we finished we really felt like we knew Munich 100x better than our friends who didn't take the tour. Our guide Adam was a wonderful, knowledgable guide. We really appreciated that he tailored the tour to our pace and interests, including meeting us at our hotel. I couldn't recommend this enough.
