- This tour runs rain or shine (except in a strong thunder storm or very strong winds). Please dress appropriately with long pants and closed toed shoes (no flip flops or loose sandals). Also, layers recommended!
- Wheelchair accessible only on limited part of Treetopia bridges and at Aguti Reserve.
- Non-strenuous, mostly flat walk

Incredible! This was my second time in Monteverde and once again amazing. I highly recommend this tour either private or in group. Our guide Justin was very knowledgeable and friendly. He showed plenty of animals and insects you’d never have seen on your own.

We had a wonderful time with our guide Marcos exploring the Curi-Cancha Reserves. We learned so much from him about the wildlife and geography in Costa Rica and specifically in Monteverde. Marcos passion for what he does is so apparent and he made the experience very special. Would highly recommend doing this private tour with Marcos and definitely in Curi-Cancha. The reserve wasn’t crowded, we got to see quite a bit of wildlife, and it was a beautiful park to explore!

The tour was great, our tour guide Olga was absolutely amazing and made our day. I’m a bit handicapped and have issues walking and keeping up. He couldn’t do enough to be helpful.
The meeting place was a bit confusing at best but the tour company txt me and made certain we connected with our guide.
This tour is exactly as promised it is a nature tour NOT really about wildlife but it is beautiful and a fairly easy walk.
Not much going on in Monteverdi but a fun few hours of nature at its best.

We had Deiner as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and showed us a lot of fauna and flora species in the Monteverde reserve which we would not see ourselves. Unfortunately, we had no idea that standing in line to pick up pre-paid tickets and then waiting for a shuttle ride would take an hour (Deiner was waiting for up at the reserve), so it cut our time significantly and we could not see some things we wanted. But that was not the guide's problem.

Even though I bought everything in advance the park entrance system was cumbersome and took over 1 1/2 hours for us to receive our entry tickets at the Visitors Center in the morning, take the shuttle to the entrance and enter the park. As a result, the 2 1/2 hour private tour we paid for ended up being only 2 hours long. Still, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He pointed out lots of insects, birds and plants and explained Costa Rican ecology very well to us. The park was well maintained except for one trail closure (Sendero Roble) and beautiful and we enjoyed a nice mid-day lunch and went back in for more exploring in the afternoon.

This tour was amazing! Marcos was an incredible guide. A lot of guides know a lot of information but aren’t very fun, not Marcos, we had a blast! We saw three types of monkeys and lots of wildlife. Highly recommend.

I'd recommend you find a different tour. Our guide focused on botany even though we mentioned that were were interested in wildlife. Literally everything we saw was first spotted by another guide.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the tour did not meet your expectations. While wildlife sightings are unpredictable, our guide went out of his way to locate a sloth off-trail and provided high-quality rain gear and binoculars to enhance your experience.
Our guides are naturalists and educators, focused on helping guests understand the dynamics of the cloud forest. Wildlife is an important aspect, but not the sole focus of our tours. We aim to provide a well-rounded educational experience, and we may not be the best fit for those seeking a spotting-only tour.

Marcos knew so much about the cloud forest, and his passion for it was clear! We learned lots of interesting things while on the tour. Our teenagers enjoyed seeing the animals (Marcos was great to bring extra binoculars and a telescope for us to see far off animals much better), but they wanted to move at a faster pace than the grown ups who were asking questions and soaking up all the great information that Marcos was sharing! I highly recommend Marcos!

We thoroughly enjoyed walking the forest with our guide, Marco. He shared a wealth of information on the ecology of the rainforest and the birds, mammals and plants within. He was patient in spotting hidden wildlife and excited with a good sighting. Marco was an excellent guide!

We booked the day + night tour, and it was definitely the right decision. Marcos was an incredible guide - knowledgeable about not just the flora and fauna, but also shared about the local history of the region and warm and welcoming as they come. We saw all sorts of creatures out there we didn't think we'd spot, many thanks to Marcos's keen eye, and his genuine desire to have us see as much of the unique biodiversity of the region as we could fit in.
Also - the dinner snack was more like a full meal, and actually ended up being one of our favorite meals across the entire week we spent in Costa Rica. :)

He was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about not only the mammals but the birds, the trees, the ecosystem, the botany... a wide range of knowledge. He was clearly passionate about what he does, easy to talk to, very accommodating and took extra time to make sure that we had a peak experience. We would recommend him highly.

We did a day and night tour with Stephen. It surpassed all expectations. Stephen was absolutely fantastic! We saw so many birds and animals and learnt lots of interesting facts about monteverde and the cloud forest on the way. We would recommend this tour to get the most out of the area. We chose to tour the hanging bridges with Jason at SkyAdventures and we had the most amazing time! The hanging bridges themselves are such a neat way to view the cloud forest, but we were also lucky enough to see at least a dozen incredible birds. Jason was extremely knowledgeable and patient and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. We couldn't recommend this tour more!

This tour was the best tour we took while in Costa Rica. Our guide Félix was amazing. He was very pleasant, very knowledgeable, and extremely patient while we were busy taking a million photos. We saw so much wildlife both during the day and night portion of the tour that it was almost overwhelming! Thank you so much for such a beautiful day. We will definitely come back for more.

Perfect. We really enjoyed this activity (our first booked w Viator). Marcos is knowledgeable, patient and really good with kids. We saw monkeys, a tarantula, tons of birds, and amazing flora. Would recommend

Our guide, Marcos, was incredible. We learned so much and had a great time doing it. He clearly treasures the wonders around him and sharing them with others. He knew where to look, was quick to recognize sounds and spot things we would have missed. And he readily adapted his choice of trail and his pace to our group.
