This experience was so fun and well managed! Though sometimes I was scared, I felt safe the whole time. The Tarzan Swing was the scariest thing I've ever done, but the guides were so kind and patient, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The views were breathtaking. I'd recommend wearing shorts/pants long enough to protect from the harness, and a t shirt or jacket to protect from the lines and chilly weather (we ended up having to buy sweatshirts from the gift shop). Closed toe shoes are a must! We had a great time and it's a must do when in Costa Rica!

Soooo bad. I paid for the whole thing. 400$ down the drain. I tried to communicate with the guides so they could tell me where to meet them, they were extremely unresponsive. My husband and I went in March, it was super fun overall! There are a couple of short runs, then two really long rides where you can do the superman pose. Repelling drop was a bit lame.
The scenery is beautiful, and even moving between the lines is quick but still part of the experience. You get to do the Superman style twice, and there’s an epic Tarzan swing at the end which we skipped. It all felt really safe and we would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an awesome zip line experience!

I am extremely disappointed with this company’s lack of fairness and customer care. We booked an excursion for the same day and were told transportation could not be arranged because we were outside their service area. As tourists unfamiliar with the area, we took the initiative to arrange our own transfer so we could meet their required time. The transport company confirmed a 10:30 AM pickup, but they never showed up, leaving us stranded and at a $300 USD loss.
We notified the excursion company by WhatsApp, email, and through the app at 11:00 AM , well before the meeting time , to cancel because we had no way to get there. They can clearly verify that the service was never rendered.
Despite this, they refused to issue a refund for the $205 excursion. This shows a complete lack of understanding and customer service, especially given that we acted in good faith and provided advance notice.
Very upsetting and disappointing experience. I would not recommend booking with a company that refuses to be reasonable when circumstances are clearly beyond the customer’s control.

Hello Sarah Marie! We are sorry to hear that you feel disappointed. However, we must clarify several important points, as this review does not accurately reflect the full situation.
At the time of booking, you were clearly informed that your accommodation was outside of our transportation service area and that the distance to our meeting point was significant. We offered assistance in arranging third-party transportation to help ensure you could arrive on time. You chose to organize independent transportation instead.
Additionally, in an effort to accommodate you, we offered an alternative zipline tour located much closer to your accommodation to avoid exactly this type of situation. That option was also declined.
Unfortunately, the private transportation provider you independently hired did not arrive. While we understand how frustrating that must have been, this service was neither arranged nor operated by our company, and we have no control over third-party providers booked separately.
Our cancellation policy ( agreed to at the time of booking ) applies in these situations. The tour was confirmed, staffed, and prepared to operate. The inability to attend resulted from transportation arranged independently, which falls outside of our responsibility.
We always operate in good faith and make every effort to provide solutions and alternatives. It is therefore disappointing to receive a review that omits the fact that you were informed of the distance, offered assistance with transport, and even offered a closer alternative tour.
We truly sorry that your independently arranged transportation did not show up and wish you smoother travels moving forward.

My husband and I did this in a light rain in January. Despite the weather it was still amazing! I felt completely safe and the zip line experience is through gorgeous scenery and moving between the lines is fast and still a beautiful part of the experience. You get the option to go Superman style twice and at the end there is an epic Tarzan swing. My husband didn’t do it, but I did and it was one of the most incredible things I’ve done. Very safe and not jerky on your neck or back—the kick is swinging outward and not like a bungee jump—just clean adrenaline rush. Totally recommend for best zip line experience!

Each zip line was better than the next! This was also the first time I have ever zip lined in the Superman position- really cool as you traverse 500 feet above the Valley! Lastly, the Tarzan swing was absolutely incredible if you can handle a 150 foot free fall- a must do!!

The team kept in contact from beginning to end. The crew at X initially communicated well, but after you got to the equipment room, it was silent. There wasn't any directions. Many people were just waiting with no idea what to do next. Eventually, a guide rigger came and started to send people to designated areas for instruction. After that, you were on your own, just zipline after zipline. Each one was more exhilarating to the next. The hikes in between some are long, wear comfortable shoes, there was one water spigot on the trail, but wasn't working. I didn't like being paired up with someone I didn't know on one zipline. But each rigger worked hard, some tried to talk to you and make you feel confident. Others appeared to be focused on ensuring your safety. I wasn't offered the repelling nor was anyone asking about it. That would have been so fun. All in all, I would recommend this activity, just know what you are in for. Enjoy.

Our ziplining and Tarzan swing experience at Extremo Park was absolutely incredible! The morning was packed with adrenaline, unbelievable views, and so much fun. The ziplines are long, fast, and give you the most breathtaking perspective of the Monteverde cloud forest. Flying over the treetops felt like something out of a movie.
The highlight was definitely the Tarzan swing—terrifying for a split second and then the biggest rush ever. The guides were amazing too: super friendly, funny, and made us feel safe and confident the entire time.
If you’re coming to Monteverde, this is a must-do adventure. Worth every second!

This was definitely an Extreme experience! The staff was amazing and helpful as half of our group had never done anything like this before. 3/4 of us were brave enough for the Tarzan swing and it was totally worth it!

My husband and I booked this tour as our first day in Monteverde. We had a very large group who went out together however there were many guides and when the first person completed their zip, they were hooked onto the next and on their way to keep the line moving. We don’t have to wait for all people to finish before moving to the next platform so that was nice.
Don’t skip the Tarzan swing, scary but worth it!
We visited other parks and saw their zips and we were super happy we booked through this company.
Highly recommend this tour!

Definitely had a better experience in Costa Rica with zip lining. I thought this would be higher up above the trees and it really wasn’t. The guides were not excited and didn’t try to make it fun for my group. Pretty quite. Tons of walking. Wished I would have known that due to the bad knees.

Pleasantly surprised that included in this tour is several superman ziplines and a Tarzan swing if you want to chase the adrenaline even more. It's very windy but be warned that the uphill hikes between some lines can take a toll as the air is thin and your heart is already racing- don't wear a heavy jacket, just a light wind breaker. The staff are friendly, professional and you always feel safe.

Really enjoyed. Great Zip lines. Long, high and fast First few are shorter to get used to ziplines. Some one is always there to help. Pickup was on time. As others have said, you must be in shape and able to walk up steep inclines for each zipline, pretty intense. Includes two superman zips and Tarzan swing, which is actual a bungee jump that will swing after descending. More water stops are needed because it was hot and humid. It was worth it if you like these type of things.

Super fun! We did on a very windy and slightly wet day which did make it slightly more scary (for my wife!)- we were worried it might be cancelled but went ahead fine, they are obviously very used to the weather. Fun zip lines, tarzan swing a definite highlight. No safety concerns. Would definitely do again! Tip to get to the front of the group otherwise you would probably have to wait in a big queue, especially to begin with and for the tarzan swing!

Beautiful view from zip lines, lots of walking up hill between (if not used to altitude you might feel this). Staff were helpful and polite.

Make sure you get ahold of them days in advance and get a ride. You cannot drive there with a rental car roads suck. I sent them my location to get picked up and they responded after the tour had started. So i never even got to go. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone as you can’t even get there and they don’t seem to care if you do.

Awful experience!! Paid for the tour and did not receive the service. The tour company was very rude and would not pick us up for the tour and will not give us our full refund. Very unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable and upset with our experience. After reaching out to viator we still have not had a pleasant experience and now hesitate to book through this format for the future. Very dissapointing considering I've used it before and had no issue of this sort. Now we know for the future.

As we informed via WhatsApp you were not picked up and your reservation was cancelled because you book since december and waited minutes before your pick up time to request a reschedule, which we did 3 times in one day as per your request, even though your reservation was already expired, plus while it was modified the third time you file a refund request, but still wanted to join the tour for free? We have a 24 hours cancelation policy which you did not comply, but you got 3 modifications in one day and a partial refund, but still not happy because you did not get a 100% refund after you did not comply with the 24 hours cancelation policy which is unfortunate. We had an amazing time doing this activity. Warmed up on some smaller but still super fun water fall rappels. The guides Alonzo Lobo and Oso were great! They kept us safe, taught things about the activity and Costa Rica along the way. We had great food at the end and were very well taken care of the whole time. I would highly recommend!
