Itinerary
Meet your guide at your hotel prior to your selected morning or afternoon departure time and head to a private reserve and adventure park, located just minutes from downtown Monteverde. Your tour begins in the primary, old-growth section of the cloud forest and moves to the newer secondary forest, offering a broad perspective of life cycles in the forest.
Start your trip with a zipline tour over the canopy, providing a heart-pounding view of the cloud forest below. Then, rappel 150 feet down to the forest floor. A ladder system through the hollow core of an old tree brings you back up into the treetops, and an optional Tarzan swing free-fall experience brings you back down.
Guides accompany you through every step of the adventure to ensure your safety and entertainment, as well as to answer questions about the local ecosystem.
Get dropped off back at your hotel or other specified drop-off location in Monteverde at the end of your adventure.

We had the best time with our guides Bryan and Daniel on the Zipline tour! The Ziplines were incredible and so much fun, and our guides made us feel safe even when standing on a platform 100+ feet above the forest floor. We had our 5 year old son with us, and Bryan took such great care of him going through each Zipline. It is totally worth every penny, and they even take great pictures of everyone along the way. I highly, highly recommend going with The Original Zipline Tours, they are the first, and truly know what they are doing. Thank you so much for a great experience!

Lovely canopy view dropping through the canopy. Tarzan swing and rappelling fun twists to exploring. Daniel and Joseph were experienced and knowledgeable and so much fun! Thank you for a great morning!

Very nice zip line experience . We didn’t do the Tarzan swing . My son did the rappelling and he liked it . Guides(Daniel and Elion) were very helpful and nice . I would definitely recommend it . 10 lines total.

Keever and Bryan, made us feel calm and relaxed when doing the zip line. Although the weather conditions were too windy, both made us feel safe and helped us do the zip line with no problem. They were nice, helpful, and good tour guides making sure everything was done safely.

We got lucky and were the only two there at the time. So we got thru the whole thing a little quicker and also got a lot of really cool pictures from the guides. Frey and Jodi were really good guides and really made the experience worth it.

Amazing experience, even in the rain!!! This adventure was thrilling, frightening and beautiful. The length of the zip lines were some of the longest wet have done. Going through the cloud forest was unforgettable. The repelling was fantastic. I almost didn't do the Tarzan swing but so glad that I did.

Fantastic ziplining experience, including a Tarzan swing, rappelling, and climbing a monkey ladder through the trunk of a tree! All of the staff ensured safety was first and they had fun attitudes the entire experience! Amazing views of the jungle. Fast-paced. Very fun!

I want to start with the actual canopy tour. The guys that run the activities are extremely professional, fun to be around and encouraging. They're far beyond our expectations. The canopy tour is well worth the money and there's no doubting you will not be disappointed. This is a very professional setup, not some fly by night group doing it. There's 10 zip lines, 1 Tarzan swing, and a rapelling activity . The only reason it gets 4 stars instead if 5 stars is communication leading to to the activity. Viator listed this to begin at 10 am. There was no other time than 10 am listed anywhere at all. We planned our day for this time. The day before it begins, we get a message that we will meet at 9 am. When we reply to the message, we never got a reply back. We arrived to the meeting location at 8:55 am and there was a gate with a code and a house. We weren't given any instructions for the arrival place. We received a number to call from viator to contact the group running the excursion but the lady spoke broken English and we can only speak minimal Spanish. The guy running the shuttle showed up 10 minutes late, did not apologize. We were extremely frustrated to begin with starting this excursion. Again, once we arrived and the actual excursion began, amazing. But they need to greatly improve communications on the app when booking so you know exactly where to go and when to meet.

Our family loved zip lining! It’s a fantastic way to see the cloud forest, and it is only a perspective you get from the air. This was well organized. I did get the feeling our guides were a little “been there done that” so we’re not overly enthusiastic in their engagement with us. We had a great time still.

This tour was absolutely amazing! Yeordy and Brayan are incredibly professional, experienced, and made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time.
By coincidence, we met Yeordy the evening before the tour, and he could tell how nervous I was about taking my 13-year-old granddaughter zip lining. Even though he was not originally scheduled for our morning tour, he went out of his way to ask his boss if he could personally take care of us. That level of kindness and dedication meant so much to us.
Brayan was equally wonderful — such a gentleman, caring, charismatic, and he took the most amazing pictures for us to remember the experience. Both of them are extremely skilled at what they do and truly made this adventure unforgettable.
I cannot recommend this tour enough!

The experience is great and the guides were nice but we paid for the photos and were promised a link to download our photos and it’s been 3 days and I haven’t received the link even after emailing the photographer directly. I’m very displeased with this service and don’t appreciate the delay.

Our guides, Kiever and Fray, were amazing! Very patient with the five of us in our group. Never felt rushed or in danger. Our ages were 66, 66, 69, 70, and 80! Two youngest did the optional repelling. Only the 66 male did the Tarzan swing, which was a real rush (similar to a bungee jump).

This was my first time zip lining and I was really nervous. Our guides Bryan, Daniel and Eliot were amazing! They were calm, kind and reassuring and very serious about safety. We started with the Tarzan swing which was the scariest part of the tour. It was pretty nerve racking but I’m so glad I did it. The rest of the zip lining was just great fun with wonderful views. I took my phone in a cross body bum bag and no one had a problem with me taking videos of my husband, which I’d read can be a problem with other tours. The guides took lots of photos on a DSLR which came out really well and we were happy to pay the $25 for all the photos of us from the tour. They emailed them over within a couple of days and they were easy to download via Google drive. Costa Rica is generally so expensive and we thought this tour was the best value for money we got on our entire 12 day trip. I’m so glad I picked this company and we even saw a big coati and a quetzal!

Wife and two boys (12 and 14) went and all loved the experience. Took around 2 hours. Was cool up there so even if it's high in the upper 70s / low 80s would recommend at least a long sleeve t shirt.

As adventure seekers my girlfriend and I expected a bit longer of a tour with longer zip lines. But that being said, the build up to the end and they way your confidence is built throughout is exceptional.

Best zipline tour crew in Monte Verde! We had great time riding on so many ziplines through the jungle. Our guides ensured our safety and personal experience was the highest. We even got to see a Quetzal! Highly recommend touring with this team!

A must do!
This zipline tour in Monteverde was definitely one of the highlights of our trip – such an adrenaline filled and exciting experience!
We started off with an optional Tarzan swing, which was an amazing and adrenaline-filled way to begin. After a short introduction about safety and what to do (and not do), we went on several ziplines, starting from shorter ones up to the longest one, which was about 800 meters – a really unbelievable view we had!
The equipment felt safe and well-organized overall, although the gloves were quite damp, old and smelly, which was a bit unpleasant.
The guides were fun and experienced, but not always the most patient or attentive, especially if someone felt nervous. You could tell they do this very often, so the pace was quite fast. Because of that, it might not be ideal for very anxious people or young children who need a bit more reassurance.
Overall, still an amazing and memorable experience that we would recommend!

This experience was absolutely incredible! I've been ziplining before, and was underwhelmed by the length of the ziplines and the length of the tour itself. This was exhilarating from the start with the Tarzan swing and it just kept going. The last few lines over valley were breathtaking. Josef and Fray were amazing guides, very patient, and made our kids laugh often. I loved that the guides went with you the whole way rather than just getting sent from platform to platform. If you're looking to zipline in Costa Rica, book this trip--it does not disappoint!
