What To Expect
Meet your guide at your hotel prior to your selected morning or afternoon departure time and head to a private reserve and adventure park, located just minutes from downtown Monteverde. Your tour begins in the primary, old-growth section of the cloud forest and moves to the newer secondary forest, offering a broad perspective of life cycles in the forest.
Start your trip with a zipline tour over the canopy, providing a heart-pounding view of the cloud forest below. Then, rappel 150 feet down to the forest floor. A ladder system through the hollow core of an old tree brings you back up into the treetops, and an optional Tarzan swing free-fall experience brings you back down.
Guides accompany you through every step of the adventure to ensure your safety and entertainment, as well as to answer questions about the local ecosystem.
Get dropped off back at your hotel or other specified drop-off location in Monteverde at the end of your adventure.

A must do!
This zipline tour in Monteverde was definitely one of the highlights of our trip – such an adrenaline filled and exciting experience!
We started off with an optional Tarzan swing, which was an amazing and adrenaline-filled way to begin. After a short introduction about safety and what to do (and not do), we went on several ziplines, starting from shorter ones up to the longest one, which was about 800 meters – a really unbelievable view we had!
The equipment felt safe and well-organized overall, although the gloves were quite damp, old and smelly, which was a bit unpleasant.
The guides were fun and experienced, but not always the most patient or attentive, especially if someone felt nervous. You could tell they do this very often, so the pace was quite fast. Because of that, it might not be ideal for very anxious people or young children who need a bit more reassurance.
Overall, still an amazing and memorable experience that we would recommend!

This experience was absolutely incredible! I've been ziplining before, and was underwhelmed by the length of the ziplines and the length of the tour itself. This was exhilarating from the start with the Tarzan swing and it just kept going. The last few lines over valley were breathtaking. Josef and Fray were amazing guides, very patient, and made our kids laugh often. I loved that the guides went with you the whole way rather than just getting sent from platform to platform. If you're looking to zipline in Costa Rica, book this trip--it does not disappoint!

They were very sweet, fun and felt very safe in their hands with this experience. Highly recommend all four experiences, so varied and so thrilling! So much fun! We booked a 10am slot and got to the office around 9:15 as directed. They had lockers we were able to store our daypack in for the duration of the activity. We did not carry any cell phones with us but other members of our group did in pockets, fanny packs, or a phone lanyard and they did not have any issues with dropping phones, etc. One of the guides is also taking photos during the tour that you are able to buy at the end of the activity. We had four people in our group and it was $45 for all of our pictures. The Tarzan swing was such a fun way to start before getting an overview on safety and how to zipline. It starts with a few shorter lines to help everyone get the hang of how things work, then rappel and tree climb in the middle, before doing a few longer lines at the end! Great way to see the forest from up high and everyone had a ton of fun!
There are two parking lots down the hill from the reception office and there is a shuttle that will take you up/down the hill.

This was amazing. We already did a zipline, but this one is a must when in costa rica. Not only do you fo 10 ziplines, but the tarzan swing is amazing. The guides were great and accomidated our large group well. We even had an 80 y/o who did all the ziplines.

Great guides, a nice and easy course, beautiful scenery - all in all, a really solid ziplining experience in the cloud forest.
What made this five stars though is the crew and operators/ guides. We were with Gerald and Flay. They were fun and personable. It felt more like being out on the course with friends.
This was also very manageable as an afternoon activity - about three hours, start to finish.

From beginning to end, the staff provided clear instructions on how to approach the ziplines. I felt comfortable throughout the excursion. The one part that was a bit challenging was climbing the ficus tree ladder after rappeling.

This was my first time zip lining and it turned out to be a nice experience! Joseph was fun and gave great directions. The hike up to the first zip line was a heart pumper, but then you zip line for the rest of the time afterward. The rappel was actually my favorite part, but the climb up the tree and ladder was a bit gnarly. Definitely would recommend it. The Tarzan swing is limited to those who are 90 kg (185 lbs) or smaller. It seems a bit scary, so I would have skipped it anyway. A few people from my group did it and it looked like they had fun. They have lockers for your bag and your items. I wore a fanny pack for my phone and wallet.
The reason for three stars is because they passed me during the pickup and said that I wasn’t there, and they charged me more for the photos than they quoted and didn’t give me a receipt when I asked for it. Luckily, they sent another driver to come and get me, but I was waiting in front of the street for pickup (I probably should have been inside the market). Also, Keiver said that the pictures would be $20 USD. I asked for a receipt and he didn’t give me one. I was being rushed back to the bus, so I forgot to ask again before I left. When I got back to my hotel, I checked my account, and they charged me $28 USD. I just don’t like that they lied and didn’t give a receipt. It seems like a scam that they do often to tourists. Make sure you wait for a receipt and confirm the total.
Also, one of the guys said that the photos could take up to 3 weeks, but they came right away (thankfully). Not really sure what that was about, but make sure to verify everything before you leave. The actual zip lining was a great experience, but I would definitely go with a more trustworthy company that doesn’t scam next time.

An all around great experience. Shuttle service picked us up from our hotel and brought us back after the tour. You can leave personal belongings in an small locker at the reception.
The tour itself with our guides Brayan and Daniel was a blast! We felt safe and they explained each step thoroughly, very professional an friendly. Went through several zip lines, up to 800m long, rappeled down a rope, climbed up a ficus, swung on a Tarzan-Style rope. It was a true highlight of our stay in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!
