Amazing guide with so much knowledge!! Dennis was wonderful and the tour was a lot of fun besides him finding our target the Quetzal within 30min wich needles to say was incredible. Awesome person, perfect birding spot and gorgeous environment. We enjoyed ourself and will be back!!

Fantastic tour, our guide Derniert was extremely knowledgeable about both the wildlife and vegetation. A very intimate tour, and we saw a Quetzal which was fantastic! Would highly recommend this tour. For the ticket you also need to book the "Heart of the Forest" ticket for the park.

Dennis was an informative and friendly guide. Helped us coordinate transportation from Tamarindo area, which was appreciated. Even gave us a ride back into town at our meeting point. Myself & two teens enjoyed our experience.

We had an incredible experience with Donald as our guide. He is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable. He had been telling us about the forest and mid-sentence heard the song of the resplendent quetzal, which he spotted immediately. He was skilled enough to find two quetzals in this tour, and multiple other rare birds in the cloud forest. He told us the history of the forest as well as the nature of the plants and animals living there. Incredible tour with an incredible tour guide.

Dennis is amazing! He was kind, humble, and so knowledgable about the area. It was rainy and not a lot of the animals were out in the area, BUT we did see a quetzal, some tarantulas, tons of other birds, an overly friendly coati-super cool. Amazing hanging bridge, small number on tour felt nicer than a large group.

My family had a wonderful morning with Dennis exploring the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Dennis is incredibly personable and took the time to get to know everyone in the group, ensuring a personalized experience. Animals move quickly and he did an amazing job tracking wildlife and quickly setting up the telescope and taking photos so that everyone had a chance to see. Dennis is incredibly knowledgeable and we had a great time learning about the Cloud Forest’s plants and animals. Absolutely recommend!

We paid almost $300 for a guide tour at 11am. Apparently that didn't include entrance fee of over $90 for a family of four (two kids)
End up taking different route shorter and no much to see.

A great day hiking through the rain forest with our knowledgeable guide, Dennis. As with all nature tours, what you see is a matter of luck, but we were fortunate to see both a male and female Quetzel, as well as a number of other birds, insects and even a monkey. Overall a great day!

Dennis Fernández was an amazing guide. He is both very personable and knowledgeable. He showed us many beautiful birds, animals, tarantulas, plants and described the ecosystem is the cloud forest well. We very much enjoyed his company and I'm knowledge on the hike!

It was wonderful. Very informative and our guide was fantastic. This time of year you need to purchase tickets for each trail you want to see. There are three total. Definitely book ahead of time to make sure you get the trail you want.

Dennis was a wonderful guide. Obviously very knowledgeable, but also personable and entertaining. He was able to keep the adults and my two daughters (12 and 15) entertained and engaged throughout the whole tour. It was wet and rainy, but that didn’t slow us down.
I would whole-heartedly recommend Dennis and this tour to anyone in the Monteverde area. I hope to have a chance to hire him again myself someday in the future!

We had an almost private tour with Dennis (our family of 4 and 1 other lady). It was excellent! Dennis is knowledgeable, passionate, and was so great at keeping our kids entertained while teaching us all about the cloud reserve and showing us all kinds of birds and animals. Highly recommend!

Dennis was the ultimate guide to wildlife, plants and history in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. I highly recommend the small group/private tour as we were able to explore the topics we were interested in. Dennis has a warm friendly vibe and a great sense of humor. His passion for wildlife was contagious.
We saw many beautiful birds up close with his viewing scope (Quetzal, Hummingbird with baby, Nightengale and even Umbrella bird) My favorite was learning about the “strangler fig” which I had seen all over the country. Dennis carefully explained this plant and many of the nesting habits of the magical, plentiful birds.

Dennis was a fantastic tour guide—warm, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable about the cloud forest and its diverse wildlife. We learned about a variety of trees, with the fig tree being a standout favorite. The birdwatching was unforgettable—we spotted the stunning Violet Sabrewing hummingbird, a toucan, and both the male and female Resplendent Quetzal. This tour was an incredible experience from start to finish. We highly recommend it!

Our guide, Dennis, was amazing! He was so smart and knew the answers to every question we asked about the cloud forest and the animals and plants. He could whistle allll of the bird whistles! We saw monkeys (moms and babies) and tons of humming birds and two quetzles! Highly recommend!!

Deniert gave my son and me a fabulous Tour of the cloud forest. He is a naturalist who is very knowledgable about the flora and fauna there. We saw lots of birds we'd never have seen on our own and learned so much during our tour with Deniert.

Dennis was an AMAZING guide! He showed so much passion for his job. He was so interesting and took time to explain the flora, fauna, and animals in the cloud forest.
He was explaining to us that he had his degree in biology, and it showed! He was so knowledgeable. Another thing that made the tour so great was how friendly and kind he was towards the group.
The other people that had booked the tour with us were about 45 minutes late, so Dennis kept us out there for an extra hour. He even gave us recommendations for other tours and things to do for other areas we were visiting.
This was one of the best tours I have ever been on. Quite possibly, the best!
Thank you Dennis for making our trek through the cloud forest an experience we will never forget!!
